  • A headache is a good indicator that your body is missing something - maybe you need to take a breather, drink some water or change the way you eat. You may have a vitamin or nutrient deficiency or a food sensitivity that is causing this built-up tension.
Headaches can be triggered by stress, fatigue, allergies, eyestrain, poor posture, alcohol or drugs, low blood sugar, hormones, constipation and nutritional deficiencies. Your body is telling you that something needs to change, so begin to heed those signals.
In this episode of Ancient Medicine today, I'm talking about the different types of headaches and how to get rid of them - treatments, remedies, essential oils and supplements.

I get a lot of hernias in the belly and have had over 6 surgeries to patch those up. I also suffer from a lot of migraines. Could the hernias be a factor in having these migraines? My doctor said that I just have very thin tissue. And I'm so happy to have stumbled on your channel. Thank you for all your great information.

yes, Agree with everything you said, great video thank you, me personally, major reason is not eating on time, I have to eat every 3 hours or I will start with a slightly headache that will become a migraine if I don't treat it right away, some food, for example chocolate, sweets, coke, will cause me migraines, things that you might want to look into carefully, again thank you for the video.

I got my first migraine when I was 13 so last year I was in school going to my first class in the morning i suddenly started to see black dots in the corner of my eyes and one side of my head hurtled so so so much I was scared I thought that I had a serious sickness I didn’t know about migraines or anything I went to that nurse after a scary 50 min after my class I live in Sweden and I guess they don’t get migraines because she didn’t know what’s wrong with me and gave me pain killers that by the way didn’t work at all i went to my next class I had math and then I started to feel nauseous and the feeling of ants on my arm and face I didn’t know what to do and my teacher didn’t know ether I started to get very very scared because I didn’t have a clue what migraines were I didn’t go home I felt better after a couple of hours and wanted to finish school when I came back home I told my mom and turns out it’s very common in my family and that it’s called a migraine I was so worried for it to happen again so I’m watching this video to know how to prevent it or what to do when I get it

That's really cool. My Fiancé struggles with frequent migraine headaches and the only thing that she will try though it does helps is Sumatriptan; but inreality it's just a bandaid. I have tried lavender but that actually causes headaches in her. I've also convinced her to try glonoinum 30c with no relief but I wasn't aware of the igg test. She is not very active, poor diet. I'm hoping she will watch the video as I shared it on Facebook. Thank you for the great information.

It’s nice that you care about her well-being. She doesn’t have migraines because of anything she is or is not doing, is or is not eating, etc. it’s a neurological disease and videos like this cloud the general perception & positive dismissal that hope, Prayers, diet and exercise are going to cure migraines. Please understand best you can do Is advocate. Tell her she is strong and brave and you know she’s doing all she can. Also, few people I know feel like jumping up and running to a chiropractor appointment in the middle of a migraine attack or running out for a jog in the middle of migraine attack or eating a salad in the middle of an attack LOL. Dr. Axe, This is great information, terrific in fact. I would just take the word migraine out of the title and just talk about the tension headaches.

Very apt given that I've had a migraine today....spot on about them being the most debilitating, I literally lose half of my vision in both eyes, can't speak properly (words come out back to front) pins and needles down half of my entire body (including tongue, gums) I've given up trying to cure myself I just have to live with it like I have since I was 16....I'm 48 this month! Stress is my main trigger, lack of sleep, citrus fruits. I've eliminated so many things to try and prevent them, caffeine being the main one but sadly nothing seems to help.

Doctor Axe, thank you so much for this video. I have had migraines for 30 plus years, been to many doctors, cat scans, diary, you name it, done it. Even things you have listed to help. Massage twice a week would probably help me a lot, but can't afford it and sure wish it was covered better, so a person could go more. Chiropractor the same thing. I am real sick of pills, but sure have to take them right away, or migraine will get worse! That is real important! I did not know that milk, or gluten could be a trigger though, wow. I have cut way back on the bread, like way back. Thanks There are binaural beats, was wondering your thoughts on that?

I’d beg to differ about migraines being the worst. I’ve had tension headaches that did EVERYTHING attributed to migraines, but the pain was not on one side, it was across the top half of the head. So either they’re migraines that affect the wrong part of the head, or tension headaches can be every bit as bad as migraines. I’ve had them last as long as three weeks at a time, and wanted somebody to come by and knock me out with a hammer until it was over.

Kazeba ... I also experience tension headaches and good ways to reduce the pain for me is cold flannels/ice packs. Now this isn't going to get rid of the headache but will relax the head. As well as this if you take vitimin B tablets it can help to reduce them.
I take regular propranolol which I am prescribed from my neurologist so it is worth talking to your docotor about it. All of these things won't completely get rid of them but will reduce them and the pain!

Melissa .Garrett I think the worst part of migraine headaches isn't the headache (which hurts a lot) but having nausseas, vomiting, being unable to talk, feeling cold as hell, and the shivers you get. I don't usually feel tension headaches, so I have no idea how strong they are, but I have some savage migraines and the worst part of it isn't the headache.

Migraines are far more debilitating. Feels like there is an ice pick in the eye socket and advice on the neck. You may have nausea or cyclical vomiting throughout the attack. You must lay in a dark room because the sun hurts. Every smell is magnified and makes you sick. You are totally listless despite heavy hitting medication. They happen over anything or everything and you have to cancel plans on a dime so you start losing friends and becoming very isolated. When you come up from those attack you will feel as in a brain fog for the next 24 or so hours possibly lethargic or totally awake because you slept through the whole attack. You might eventually have to stop working. When you don’t have a migraine those Precious moments are spent maintaining a home, paying bills, I’m going to useless doctor appointments that turn up with nothing new besides more medications with more side effects thatI don’t want to take… Praying you don’t have migraines in there only tension headaches LOL

I don't know what kind of headache I have, it's been tree months now I feel daily headache usually in one part of the head but sometimes in two spots in the front of my head, I feel pulsing sensation in my back head, and sometimes a weird feeling in one spot or two of the front of my head like the spot is cold or empty that I feel the need to put pressure on it. I have visited a doctor he was in such a hurry he just looked at my scan exam and told me it is jut stress, but it is not as there is nothing to justify it. Can anyone please tell me at least what kind of headache I have, and how to preeced the treatment!

    • @starrywillowtree

This sounds exactly like my symptoms! And my doctor says it's stress, because tests aren't showing anything. I'm trying to believe it's stress, but I'm terrified it's something worse. Have you gotten any answers? I hope you're feeling better!

@@starrywillowtree hi there, I did an mri exam, irm in French. But there is nothing on it the doctor said, he gave me other stress medications, although I'm not convinced. If you like to talk more about this issue give me your contact infos. Talking with someone who has similar conditions helps.

Hey any update on your condition?

    • @khalidlogi
      @khalidlogi 2 роки тому

Update after two years : although the headache is not gone completely, I feel much better. Most days I can read, work and do my errands without thinking about my head. So stay positive and the headache will slowly go away although it could take few months or ever years sadly. Medication won't necessarily help as I found out, I cut them off completely unless I had a major headache. Ps : among all the medication out there, you could find one that will suit you and mitigate your headache considerably. But I recommend not to abuse them as they could also damage something else that isn't broken in your body.

nonsense. treatment of symptoms is no substitute for correction of cause. you have no clue of the cause or the correction. this is why migraine sufferers need to see an hio method chiropractor instead of wasting their time with non-corrective therapies.
