dang thats sick. im in victoria as well, ordered my gr86 back in october, was given a delivery ETA of november this year but looks like it might get pushed back to next year due to delays. hype to get behind the wheel, they look fun as. thanks for giving your opinions on the car, every reviewer seems to feel the same about the car and its making me want it more. your presentation is nice and straight forward and thats good, keep up the good reviews g also for anyone who reads this or cares about the rear seat room, what i learnt about the previous gen is there actually CAN be leg room in the back, but theres absolutely no room to put your feet. its a hassle to have passengers but its not impossible. if you have passos who are down to take their shoes off and sit with their feet up on the seat then the only issues is their head room and comfort. its not impossible, but its not good either hahaha. short road trips are fine but long road trips and youre better off not even trying. great as extra storage for sure though. im pretty sure the one of reasons the rear seats exist in the back at all is to reduce insurance and registration costs in japan and a few other countries as well, since 2 seaters get hit harder with costs.
Thats awesome. Shame it might get pushed back, but hopefully worth the wait for you - it really is a fun car to drive. Really appreciate the feedback too. Haha I'd rather walk than sit in that second row. Insurance makes sense. Nissan Z just has storage space which is 👌
It is funny that the new BRZ has Tom Tom maps built in and is significantly cheaper with manual than the GR86. I prefer the GR86 front and love the limited Apollo Blue colour on the GR86, but I prefer the BRZ interior. Even the little bits of chrome look better than those GR86 black interior door handles. My pet hate is the clutch and no front parking sensors. That clutch assistive spring is crazy firm and makes it hard for me to control the clutch smoothly. You go from a light clutch, just at the clutch bite point, and then as you raise it up a tiny amount it want to then rapidly return home with a massive spring force. You can replace the spring with something less stiff, but you need to remove the whole clutch pedal in RHD models. Either way the BRZ/GR86 are awesome cars.
Currently in Adelaide, I ordered a black GR86 a year ago and Toyota ordered the wrong color. Blue came, and I didn’t want it, so been waiting for the black GR86 over a year now, they’re saying it’s coming in July, let’s hope it really does😢
That machine is off the hook...the one thing I wish Toyota could do is offer an optional moonroof. Speaking for myself that would go beyond perfection with it!!! Peace...🙏♐
Took possession of my new gr86 GTS after trading my 2017 86. Unfortunately I was so shocked to miss out on Sat navigation and also lost all my storage space. Does Toyota not realise that phone maps don’t work when your out of mobile range which is very frequently where I drive. And I love my long country road trips through rural Victoria and with no Sat nav I had to dust off my old paper Melways. What a joke. And just two drink holders in centre console. I feel like I got an interior downgrade despite the 51k price tag. Even my friends 11 year old Suzuki has Sat nav. Shame. But yes it does have more power thank you.
I agree I personally like the brz look better, the front also looks better imo! Everyone is more hyped on the gr86 just because yk it’s Toyota and it’s technically named a “GR”!
@@Alex_jeffsit really is especially in east coast wait times are so long, I just ordered mine and I won’t get it probably until next year…. I’m so excited tho, however this wait is gonna be a killer for me. I also ordered a brz just because I like the body style and more options than GR
Insurance is cheaper, throttle tuning is linear, suspension a bit softer, WRB is available, base model wheels look much better than gr86 base model wheels, looks better (also imo), found at msrp or even UNDER, available to custom order as you like, + you unlock opportunity to use subaru VIP program AND AND AND the customer service at subaru dealerships tends to be GREAT
I’m so excited, mine gets delivered in four weeks!
That's awesome. You'll have a tonne of fun. You'll have to let me know what it's like to daily for an extended period
2 more weeks for me hopefully 🤞🙏

@@camarogoskrrrt3534 I gotta wait 60 days 😭 but in 60 days ima be in europe lol

Congratulations! You'll have a ball with it

Couldn't agree more with this
A 2+2 is more affordable to insure than a 2 seater, thus the seats no one fits into.
Legend - thanks mate
i think the backseats are for making insurance cheaper.
Thanks legend!

I ordered mine in April last year. My dealer said the build date has been confirmed and I will get it next month or Aug.
@@SuperJames1412 good luck my brother😭

That would be sweet, but might eat in to the headroom though.

How tall are you ? I wonder if I fit comfortable I’m 6’3
I'm 6 foot, imagine you should be alright but probably worth jumping in one to check. Getting in an out could be a pain
6' 1" here. Sigh...I guess I'll have to try one one...lol...😄♐
Is this car reliable to travel place to place?
I really hope I get my hands in one. I can’t wait. I want one so bad
Good luck! Hope you do - a bunch of fun
Bro got the GR86 in FH3
😍😍
Just so you know the back seat is more on baby seat or bags and etc.
BRZ better value- has a couple of slightly better parts, full size spare, maps included. Also looks better IMO, and shorter waiting time!
Wait time is a killer ATM
