Cam, love the vids. You’re honestly one of my inspirations. To see someone live their life to the fullest and accomplish the things they want. Im working hard this year and hoping next year I can get one of my dream cars. Either a MK5 Supra or one of these BRZ’s. Your vids always have such a chill vibe to them and seeing you interact with others in such a humble way is refreshing. Keep it up man 👍
13 years ago Boeing moved me to San Antonio from Washington. I purchased the new 2009 370z as my first new nice car while I was there. They soon moved me back to Seattle, so me my puppy and cat all piled in the Z and headed north. Your trip reminds me of that time, it was a crazy drive! Thanks for sharing 👍
I work at a Subaru dealership in Colorado. It is super weird to me to hear that a dealer doesn't do walk in oil changes. Also we had a 22 brz come into work today for its first oil change at 5900 miles. You are not alone lol
I remember once with my 2018 BRZ at over 2200m above sea level, going uphill in the mountains (highest paved road in Canada), absolutely no power and could hardly even accelerate lol. So high that there was snow everywhere midsummer. Too bad the new BRZ has the same issue.
I am from Denton, and I recognized when you were driving through, and the Subaru dealership where you stopped at is where I just ordered my 2023 BRZ from! Small world haha!
Looking forward to it!! When you come maybe we could hit the track together I know alot of companies that host track days. We could do a video of k20eg vs new type r that would be sick!!
Love I just got to the part where you saw bucees 😂😂. Love itttt!! My littler town in central ga has for some reason a bucees and that Lowkey put us on the map! That is where me and my buddy hold meets lol.
I live far from Texas but if I was ever down there in my WRX, I'd be tempted to drive on that highway with the 85 mph speed limit. Literally the highest speed limit in the entire country.
You already have a tight itinerary, don't even think about adding a meet. That all can come later. Right now your main objective is to get that car into your Tampa garage at your new house. Yupper!
I love what he’s currently doing for his roadtrips. Livestreams require him to interact with viewers which splits his attention between the road and his stream. It’d be cool to get a small livestream when he stops and what not, but I’m sure he’s got his own personal stuff to do. Listen to music, talk to Viv, etc.
Went to a car meet Sunday and saw two 2022 Toyota 86s and one 2022 Subaru BRZ. They look so good in person and are surprisingly low compared to my 10th gen civic si 😂
Huge difference between 91 and 93? Where I live sadly only have 91. With like 2 gas stations that are bout 40 mins away that have 93 but are like 1$ more a gal then 91. Can't wait till my 2023 gets delivered end of this year.
Cameron I would recommend valvoline instant oil change and I recommend to bring your own oil and they will charge 36 dollar for labor on the service p.s don’t need buy a oil filter they will use one of there for free
I know it’s gonna be a big step but since you’re living in a hotter place, you may want to think about meth injection for either one of your cars since they will be boosted. It will consistently lower you intake temps to below freezing or close to freezing no matter the temp outside… That’s the next thing I do on my car before I go big turbo and I like in central ga and we have about the same temps and humidity. Just an idea fam! But I love the content fam, this is my favorite part of my day when you upload!
@Cameron Hill GR86 owner manual recommend 93 Octane gas. California only has 91. The owner manual says "you may notice a slight, decrease in maximum engine performance and you may hear some knocking (pinging) of an engine while using an octane rating of 91 (95 RON) fuel." Did you notice anything by putting 91 in yours?
I have the same car just auto, planning on swapping it later years. And learn to drive manual. Any tips just turned 19 and got the car after working a whole year and didnt know much about cars and got this one because i really liked how it drives now finding out cars like these are meant more for manual.
Hey Cam, I plan on moving to LA from NYC. Do you recommend I drive cross country, or use a car shipping company, like Montaway? I have a 2022 Civic, with 1.3k miles on it.
I’d weigh the pros and cons. Cons: 3000 miles to ODO, a lot of refuels (8-9 refuels is a lot of $), exhausting and time consuming. Pros: It’s an experience, visiting other states. Save on shipping + flight - gas.
i live in Dallas Texas and if you are in the left lane you better not be going the speed limit or you might get rammed or shot like seriously reckless while driving and you will be fine! 🤣
I already bought one of the new BRZ's. But i got the base model. and in silver. Because it was on the lot when i walked in. I feel your pain with the low octane gas. I also drive on 05 LGT Wagon. in Alaska they only have 90 octane. that's as high as it goes. so i had mine tuned to run water methanol injection to help boost the octane. When I moved to Maine and put 93 octane in it it LOVED it. Still running the water methanol because why not.
@@Camhill182 Which part? I only recently moved here. I'm currently living in Yarmouth but we're looking at buying a house somewhere where we can afford to live. Yarmouth is too fancy and expensive for us. It was the only apartment we could get into whilst living in Alaska.
I know I've said this before but your fan meet videos are some of my favorites. So wholesome, and the ones with Kenny.
Thanks! I love doing it. More to come
My wife does the same thing and tell me to protect myself when i go to random car meets....🤣🤣🤣

Thank you very much! You can do it man. Especially if we go into a depression, those car prices are gonna plummet
So glad that you're back in the vlog bro and I can't wait for your Subaru BRZ contents!!!!
Loving the content
I have never been so hype for an upload before
I've been looking forward to this video!
Texas highways are like Mad Max. Road rage, no insurance on half the cars, potholes everywhere.
im loving these road trip vlogs + car content 🙏🏼
i haven't even started this video but i needed this!!! I'm always so happy when u upload man
Awe thanks man

I see so many people run straight through that left lane because it just comes out of no where, gotta love denton roads
The stickers at the gas station were hilarious.
Hope the trip was well love the vids man! 🤟🏽
Thanks man 😁
Im loving this content!!
Keep up the awesome content! Always looking for another video! Glad your travels were safe.
The brz taking off from the stealership reminds me of when I got my 10th gen si

Which one do you work at? Picking up my 2023 Limited in Pearl white in late October from Herberger.
great vid once again bro !!!
Great video bro can’t wait for part 3 stay safe

Can’t wait till u install the coilovers!
Can’t believe its already been a year with the type r, I remember when u got it, time flies!
Missed the BRZ!! 🙌🏼
Me too
1/2 way there, should be smooth sailing now. Safe travels and best of luck.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of both builds. Gonna be sick!

Tell Vivian if she wants to start an all girls call of duty team to let me know! Safe travels cam!
Great car great video truly enjoyed it,thanks for sharing.
Drive safe brother!! Sad you left Cali before we got to meet!!!
I’ll be back to southern california from time to time!

Enjoyed the video 👍👍,
Wow definitely feels like you had the type r for more than 1 year.

The stickers at the gas station near texas😂😂 seems about right I see them everywhere in San Antonio
This BRZ will be popping a lot of cherries for you huh 🤣
Yes

Gets overtaken by everyone and their grandmas. 😂
we love the road trips content but we know you hate it 😆
If you can get a equal length header, buy one! They sound so good!
12:30 I feel the same way! Once you put UELs on a BRZ/86 it becomes so similar in personality to a WRX. Doesn't feel unique to me anymore
" I feel like lard" now im second guessing if I should make these dinosaur nuggets go extinct while i watch this video lmao
Cameron you should make merch! I’m sure you’d sell a bunch and it could help support the builds.
Good idea. I’ll get on that today. Will have merch up within a week or two
can confirm, texans do drive like maniacs

Id be top scared to drive my summer tires in freezing temps. Those tires will be very slick

Hope we can meet up when you’re situated in Florida, got some good stuff to show you

be safe

What supercharger will you be getting for the 2022?
I read somewhere that Shell mid-grade has no ethanol therefore has the same "energy" as the Super grade. Have you heard of this?
After Texas and Louisiana that was Mississippi not Missouri my friend! hahah
Missouri loves company. And Cameron.
@@roger3958 That may be true, but it is way north from where he's going.
I used to have legacy but now I got q50 and I agree 93 94 nice
Maybe I missed it, but what was your mpg like throughout your trip? Early on you were close to 30 mpg, did it stay close to that? Thanks
I dont remember exactly, but it was over 30. Might have been like 32mpg for the whole trip
AMAREO BTW LOL. don't get dallas and fort worth mixed up like that they are 45 mins away from each lmao
🤷♂️
Seeing those gas prices make me despise Cali lol. It's rn 6.19 for 91 outside my place
man i made that drive from LA but to oklahoma instead of texas in my old veloster turbo lol
Why you keep the stickers?
You passed through my state Texas… btw is the gas mileage good in this car like how often did you need to fill it up?
My average for the vehicle total is 30.5 i think
I love the Ft. Worth Ribeye from Texas Roadhouse
What’s the best food stop you had on this trip?
I just had Subway a couple times. I wasnt trying to eat a bunch of greasy stuff and feel like more shit 💀
I have reserved a GR86 and it will be my first manual. I'm afraid this will be me when I'm leaving the dealership too 😭15:15
Go to a used car dealership with a buddy and practice for 15 mins or so!

That’s funny. I have that wrx but 2021 and I just got the 22 gr86
What was your mpg? Hand calculated
I don't remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure I mentioned it in the video when I got back and compared the two cars' road trips
I like the BRZ but I would prefer GR86 - I love the GR86 front end better
Well you’re in luck. Im ordering a GR86 front bumper from a toyota dealership today
Yes 👍🏿 😍😊🙌🏿
How to know it's still brand new, you have the tag in your glove compartment still, and the sticker on your windshield lol
Other than that, I got a gr86 looks like youre having fun with the car :)
If you are Driving at night watch out for potholes
turn your rev warning on
