Welcome! If you are new to the channel, I'm ti8ick (pronounced tibick or tibs), a Streamer/UA-camr that has fallen down the rabbit hole of Warhammer 40k. I started with the game Rogue Trader (I love RPGs and normally my channel is about them). I'm going through the lore and even assembled and painted my first mini! If this interests you, stay with us!

Helsreach is a good one to watch! Keep up the good content!
@ti8ick
Glad you enjoyed that video! To date one of the best of all time in my opinion.
If you want some great lore vids and to learn about the 40k world I would suggest www.youtube.com/@Luetin09 . His vids are great to listen to and he covers lore / characters / the tabletop game etc. Visuals are less important than the audio so they're also good to run in the background while doing whatever chores you have for the day.
Hoping Henry Cavill (a fan of the game / lore) will be given enough control of the future TV series project to so the world justice. Amazon does not have a great track record though so fingers crossed.
Please watch death of hope. 😊
Rewatch it a few times. The first fight scene…. Dudes were getting blown in half with a single shot. Notice how each marine killed what they shot at.
the original version had far better soundtrack, GW messed up the entire BGM
It was a silly move they pulled so they could put thier own name and people on the credits the scumbags
Right? It almost sounds like GW made this mini animated movies sounds more like fan made animation with corky music choices rather than it was initially.
I assume the og version is not available anymore

IMO, this fan-made project (single person) did more to boost the WH 40K brand than anything else in many, many years. Many many thousands of people who would normally never pay attention to anything with any Warhammer in it before, saw this and went "Damn this looks so good, i wonder what this Warhammer thing is all about" and subsequently got converted to the hobby.
One of the big things about W40k besides the lore and atmosphere is the design/visuals, so it's no wonder such beautiful animation drew so many new people in! ❤️
The problem is this also attracted the attention of the Twitter/Tumblr maggots who want to make "appropriate changes" to the lore. Thankfully, GW loves money and knows likes does not =money.
I'm one of them. I watched this maybe a year ago and was enthralled. I looked up the wiki to figure out what was going on and got sucked into the rabbit hole, reading for like 3 hours straight. I started reading novels, and today I'm literally painting figurines for the Ultramarines. This guy ushered in a new age of WH purely by making a badass animation.

"That's the neat part. You don't."
Anti-tank weapons.
You need to destroy them to kill them; anything less and they might come back at you in a walking, armoured life support system.
Just use power swords or bigger las Cannon
Deamons, giant space bugs, ancient terminators with molecular destabilization beams. 40k only doubles down when it comes to destructive potential.
They're really not all that impressive, engineering wise. Technically we could do it with IRL equipment. Just fire an AP tank shell into one of them. They'll have a right big hole.
Unless you have armor-piercing weapons or magic, you ain’t getting through it.

Oh comeon, they simply were trying to (unfurls scroll, checks list) resurrect a Man of Iron, use heretech forbidden artifacts, attempt to use the warp to gain knowledge on the Primarchs project, got enslaved by psychic xenos and for resisting the Holy Emperor's Inquisition. Well (gathering up scroll), yes, I believe they are heretics.

What really impressed me was at 11:53. See those spots forming? Those are Laramen cells that space marines have in their blood. They form scar tissue and halt blood loss immediately in case of damage so that detail just proves how much this guy respects the lore.
Superhuman platelets, huh? A very useful augmentation for guys who are going to tank superhuman levels of damage for a living.
The Inquisitor overhears the conversation between the two Orbs:
Orb 1: "I have failed brother...we have all failed. The Astartes defy our touch. You must return. Break your seal!"
Orb 2: "We will never survive."
Orb 1: "You must. Take them."
Inquisitor: "Astartes in Danger!" before he is possessed by the Orb.
Probably an inquisitorial psyker of some kind
The Inquisitor actually says "Recall them immediately!" before his possession.
He said "Withdraw them immediately!"
the orb 2 also says "it is impossible" before the we will never survive responding to the "break your seal" i think
The mini sisters cosplay is badass

@@ti8ick It really is an excellent cosplay, kudos. Glad you enjoyed the video series!
If you were wondering what the Psyker said just before he was possessed, he yelled "RECALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!" which prompted that one space marine to take off running to the command deck in order to tell them to leave. Obviously he was too late.
While they were in the warp (the black void) the creature that abducted them attempted, as far as i can tell, to collect them all before moving on to the next part of their journey where it was promptly attacked and destroyed by a warp entity, probably a Chaos demon of some kind. This then shot all, or at least one of the space marines back into reality.
The warp is NO joke.
Now that I'm reading all the comments with explanations it's starting to make sense hahah thank you!
The Inquisition psyker had a black smoke aura when channeling, and it was a black smoke aura that attacked the warp entity. So I have read a lot of people speculating that it was the psyker lashing out before/as/after he died.
you can see the other marines flashing in on the other pillars. It's subtle.
@@ScarabswarmOh, yeah. It may be his last attempt to stop the entity indeed.

Honestly i hope Henry reaches out to this guy for cgi cinimatic director for the show.
Fun fact: I'm 99% sure Brotherhood of Steel is inspired by Space Marine
I'm 99% with you on this
To be fair all power armoured fiction is inspired by Robert Heinlan's original star ship troopers story and no no the film where Paul Veerhoven tried desperately to depict humanity as fascist's by dressing them in Gestapo uniforms but completely forgot to make them act like fascist's.

@@ZackeTheBruteyes, but now extremely expensive slop...
"I don't care who They are, as long as they are so cool and action packed" spoken like a true Sororitas there.
To be fair, the guy was doing much the same thing as a netrunner would. Connecting with and sneaking into the thing's consciousness is basically the psyker version of netrunning.
Some additional info: The reason we dont hear the Astartes speaking is because they're communicating through internal communications.
The fact that we hear the psyker chanting through their suit is insane, they're not supposed to be able to hear each other out of their suits. So when they can hear them chanting the Astartes try to neutralise the threat immediately.
Exactly the fact they could hear him chant, shows us how deafeningly loud he was chanting. Plus the reason they put him down so mercilessly, was because a possessed psyker is extremely dangerous and powerful. He could kill a lot of marines before they could kill him.

But space marines cant hate
@@timostegemann9738 XD....
Uh, they most very certainly CAN.... Have you listened to a Black Templars battle-hymn (or any death-faced Space Marine Chaplain's routine pastoral homily) lately? Hatred makes up at least 38.7% of the emotional capability left to the frail mortal men transformed into Astartes warriors (the remainder comprising anger, homicidal fury, incandescent rage, anger, dyspeptic choler, anger, murderous ire, anger, periodic grief at the loss of comrades/battle-brothers [principally yielding renewed anger], righteous indignation, anger, vengeful wrath, and also anger). @@timostegemann9738
What always got me the most is the fact that the Inquisition is right about innocence not proving anything.
If you are corrupted by Chaos, it doesn't matter if you were innocent or not.
@@mikefoster6018 I mean he got a fair point. You could argue that space marines themselves are just doing what they are "programmed" to do. If they hate their enemy is irrelevant to them.

Merry Christmas! There's so much to learn!
Okay so its a 5 man Tactical squad led by Sgt. Kohren (name engraved on the right shoulder pauldron) and at the end they might just ended up back on Holy Terra at the bottom of the Marianna Trench (Marianna Gorge) where an ancient kingdom used to flourish, after the atomic wars and before the Unification Wars. The Emperor speaks of this location in the Last Church short story.
The huge skeleton bodies reminded me of the Tomb Kings from old Warhammer
I always thought they teleported down to the planet the rebel ship was orbiting. It has the same colors as the canyon. Plus, teleporting through the warp is fairly local without massive warp energies being channeled and that takes a lot of time, rituals, and sacrifices.

Great reaction & welcome to the madness of 40k. As a bit of geekdom from an Olde school 40k fan (since '89) I think you need to know a little about the weapon our Astartes are most commonly firing. Those are Bolt guns aka Bolters, or a Bolt pistol. a weapon that can fire in single, semi & full automatic settings. & fires a rather interesting type of ammo which it gets it name from. A Bolt is the name for the rocket powered mass reactive, explosive shells (NOT rounds). Just think on that a second...
An automatic firing RPG. Being help like a rifle or pistol. That's why those Heretics just turn to mist when they get hit.
Now you have to watch "pariah nexus" recently released, you will love it!
Thank you, added it to my to watch list!
As a Salamander, I welcome you, Sister, to the world of the forty-first millennium
As it's not recognizable to those not fully versed in 40k's dating system. The intro had a date stammped on it "482.M39" which means the 492 year of the 39th millennia. Or 38,492 AD.
The newest lore in the books is set after 42,000. And Space Marines after this date are often "Primaris" Space Marines... meaning they're a foot taller and even faster.
41k is not canon. 40k is a setting, not a story. It will always be exactly 999.M41.
@@BonzoDrummer that's false information the first phase of the Indomitus crusade ran from 999.M41 to 012.M42, the the Plague Wars then happening 012.M42. And the War of Beasts ran until 025.M42.
The setting is just now breaking into M42. But before 8th edition you would have been correct.

LOL at someone in the chat saying that magnets are the worst enemy of Space Marines, considering their armour is based on ceramic (which isn't magnetic), rather than iron/metal which is magnetic.
Their armor also has Adamantium in it, which is presumably ferrous
All materials give off magnetic reflections. Especially 2d carbon.

this is one to one how i reacted when i was shown this too, id never heard of warhammer till my friend showed me this and i fell down the rabbit hole shortly after
"they got technology" YES AND IT IS BLESSED BY THE OMNISSIAH!
Its amazing how one person made this. What a badass video. Warhammer 40k for the Win!
You kill them with overwhelming firepower.
the multi-laser in the tight hallway might have actually gotten through the armor if they had a little more time and accuracy. If you look close, you can see spots on his armor glowing and later on there is damage to it.
The guy who got stabbed around the corner in the hallway was also holding what looked like a Melta Bomb. If the cultist had managed to round that corner and set it off, that Marine would have likely died, or at least lost an arm and part of his leg.
Just to clarify. Astartes refers to the superhuman soldiers known as Space Marines. They are genetically enhanced warriors created by the Emperor of Mankind to serve as the ultimate defenders of humanity. Astartes are organized into various chapters, each with its own unique characteristics, traditions, and combat doctrines. They are iconic figures in the Warhammer 40K lore, known for their incredible combat prowess and unwavering loyalty to the Imperium.
If compared to our technology and fighting prowess today, it's believed that 400 Astartes Marines would be overkill for our entire planets military.... Including nukes.
Another note... The Psyker (The guy praying and gets pwned by the commanders in white), when he screams out and you hear it muffled? Their suits are supposed to be 100% soundproof, for both entering noise and exiting. Makes it easier to hear commands in combat. When you see the Commander look at his guard, but say nothing, and yet the guard takes off, it's because they're using internal coms inside the suits. So you can now appreciate just how loud he was screaming inside his suit to be heard outside it.
Of course they can hear what is going on outside their suits.
Guy has made this as fan project, GW bought the video, hired the guy and cancelled the project. Those guys never miss to disappoint

If you truly want an impression of how ridiculous Wh40k can be. Here, you see bullets and laser Pulses bounce of a Marines armor. And yet there are Standard Issue Weapons of some armies that easily blast a marine to bits when scoring hits. Like the T'au Pulse rifle or the Necrons Gauss Weapons.
Something funny about the Adepta Sororitas is that they’re supposed to be an elite fighting force, but on the tabletop they play like a horde army that focuses on shooting. Suggest leaving some points to have special weapons for your units so you can adapt to the enemy force. For example take meltas agaisnt elite armies or armies with lots of vehicles, or take flamers for armies that like to bring units with lots of models.

I really enjoyed the Hammer and Bolter episode called: Old Bale Eye.
It talks a bit about the orks perspective on fighting the 'umies and what it means to be a great ork.
Its available on warhammer TV, GWs own streaming service.
As Warhammer 40k fans we are in a perpetual war with Games Workshops and those who know better go out of our way to not give them a dime. What they done to the creator of Astartes and others like is the highest form of heresy and must be punished accordingly.
The spheres (there are two of them, one already captured and bound on the Astartes ship and the other which they just captured on the enemy ship,) are actually C'Tan shards. These are like ancient gods...think Lovecraftian gods like Cthulu...that were turned into something solid and material in the real world, then shattered. There are also lots of these gods, each getting broken into shards, so not all shards come from the same original god. Some shards will, of course, come from the same original entity, making them "brothers," like the two in the video. Each shard is incredibly powerful and has their own plans and ambitions. The one on the enemy ship had clearly been making its human followers construct "vessels" that it could inhabit and walk around doing things. That is what those two guys are that the Astartes fight, two of these vessels that the shard is inhabiting with its consciousness. They were operating without speaking and moving together with no hesitation because they were actually the same creature...the shard...simply using more than one body at once. The really big gold one that the Astartes found is probably meant to be the main new "body" for the shard to use so that its not stuck in a room all day.
Back on the Astartes ship we see three more Astartes, including their commander, in a room with another guy in robes and a second shard that they have locked down. The guy in the robes is an Inquistor, a sanctioned psyker and official agent of the Imperium. All of them have powerful psychic abilities and knowledge about the universe that is generally banned or simply unknown to most people. Think of Sherlock Holmes, combined with a member of the Gestapo (specifically one like Hanz Landa in "Inglourious Basterds,") also combined with a super powerful psychic that can kill you with their mind. He is connecting with the shard in order to figure out what its up to, but then the second shard comes under attack and it warns its brother (the shard that the guy is connecting to.) That shard then uses the connection to take over the Inquisitor and inhabit him, which is why the Astartes instantly kill him.
The shard that just got captured on the enemy ship then tries to suck in the Astartes around it in order to kill them inside its...I don't know really, its nether space or something I guess...but something interferes and injures the shard causing it to release the Astartes, randomly depositing them...elsewhere. I don't know but if I had to guess, the thing that hurt the shard and made it release the Astartes was the power of the Emperor or something to that effect. The Emperor is basically an immensely powerful and immortal psychic that acts as an agent of order within the universe. At one point, however, he made a deal with the Chaos Gods for some of their knowledge, then betrayed them. By making a deal with the devil, so to speak, he essentially became one...a devil. It can be argued that the Emperor is actually the most powerful of the Chaos Gods (I'm sure some fanboys would quibble with that, but its what it looks like to me.) Thus, for the Emperor to simply glance at the shard for an instant through the Immaterium would likely be enough to inflict pain on the shard's psychic existence.
Imagine putting your logo on something you did not make. Fkin GW... If not for them we would have next episodes by now. Never forget, never forgive
Whoever made this, should do an entire series! I'd watch this without hesitation!

This with "all you need is kill" playing is bad ass
Glad some ppl got into 40K from Rouge Trader. I know 40K is dense and Rouge Trader is a really hard core crpg so I know it's not the easiest media to consume. Just to be a mega fanboy and clear stuff up that isn't in Rouge Trader, 40K is more of a setting than a hard continuous IP so you get a lot of variations in power scaling. That means that Space Marines, while always powerful, vary wildly on how strong they are. Also, they are transhuman, having multiple extra organs implanted into them along with usually 20-80 years of combat experience on the low end and the best arms and armor humanity can make.
Other thing is everyone that is an organized group of recidivist or not 100% pro Imperium are considered heretics in 40k. It's not always about Chaos or even remotely, well, heretical. Like 1 book a priest had a revelation that the God Emperor and the government where 2 different things and maybe they shouldn't deify a government that cares little for them. He was still advocating to annihilate the alien, mutant, and heretic, just maybe want the Imperium to actually protect them and raise the standard of living. Well can't accept that heresy so he was deemed excommunicate traitoris (which means the highest government has deemed you a traitor, you are kicked out of the church, you and any that follow you are marked for death and you're going to hell when you die) and the Imperium wasted millions of soldiers killing him and everyone under his command. Now I must start packing. I, uh, need to go before the Inquisition gets here.
So having an opinion in W40k is heresy, gotcha 💀

I honestly think that the astartes video is not a good video for 40K noobs to watch. Yes it's impressive however they are missing so many context to actually appreciate the full scope of what's happening that it feel the real impressiveness is kind of lost of them. Having said that I think after you've watched a few Bricky videos, helsreach would be a good one to react to.
Arbiter Ian's 40K timeline video is also a GREAT introduction video
Honestly I had no idea what was happening, so I totally agree. I absolutely loved it visually, but context wise I was so lost. I've been recommended to watch Helsreach but I feel like I need to up my lore game a bit before watching it. Also checked out Arbiter Ian's channel, thank you!
@@ti8ick yeah Ian's 40k timeline video is best video to get up to speed. Then bricky videos on different races and factions. And after that, there's nothing to it but to do it. At that point helsreach is for sure understandable
Happy Holidays to you... Retro
Не только синематик круто выглядит, но реакционер. Мэм, вы нереально красивы, особенно классный макияж))
I never noticed that at 0:33 when the marine passes the incense burner over his bolter, a red light flashes on, like the blessing appeased the machine spirit inside and turned it on.
04:17 when Big E is handing out autographs.
He got "hired" and never paid him to make anything else. It was just to keep him under contract so he can't compete against their terrible paid streaming service.
Aliens, demons, alien demons... 40K has it all.
Damn.... You on here trying to kill the lads 😂❤
Those beakies got into a right propah scrap with them spark head ummies. gotta get me and dah lads in my over dare for some crumpin of ours own!
I like your face of Sister of Battles !
Best representation of 40k to date.
Love your sister of battle outfit
Most entities: Oh shite, the warp ...
Necrons chilling in the corner knitting the very fabric of the warp together for a nice pair of socks for the Silent King.
I like the soritas makeup :3
Did you notice that the rest of the squad teleported in on the pillars at the end scene?
Did a lore dump on my channel about this video if you want to know more about whats going on in the video.
Oh wow that's awesome, I just took a look and it's a really well-explained video, I will check it out! Thank you so much for watching
40k is the best sci fi universe left. I almost dont want it to ever see hollywood.
