But I kinda noticed that he doesn't attack women he uses the weaknesses in their combat against them then captures them a true hero ladies and gentlemen
I love that line so much. _Meanwhile, in _*_Batman: The Animated Series..._* *Batman:* "Red Claw? A woman?" *Red Claw:* "Do you have a problem with that?" *Batman:* "Not at all! I'm am equal opportunity crime fighter!"
When I was a kid, I watched On Leather Wings before I knew ANYTHING about Batman. Langstrom's transformation to Man-Bat gave me shivers. I didn't become a fan up until 2009. And we all know what happened then.
BTAS/JL/JLU and Batman: The Brave and the Bold are the best ones for me. I thought the writing on Beware the Batman was pretty solid, but yeah, the animation style did not look good at all. Great job, Kya. Looking forward to your episode on Batman's animated movie evolution. That should be another good one.
Batman the animated series is tight...one of the best cartoons of our time....However I do want to say that "The Batman" i feel is really underrated. I love that show.
I really wish you would've delved more on Beware the Batman. It had a lot of 1970's influence in some of characters and stories they used, especially Batman and the Outsiders. The CGI might not be the best, but it had excellent writing and storytelling, and deserved better than to just be brushed aside like that.
I can't believe just how much I enjoyed this video. Thanks for the memories! As for my favorite DCAU offering? Young... Justice... (even though I started out with Batman the Animated Series). Young Justice just feels like the culmination of everything that the latter established. Now; on to Season 3. Which has over 20 episodes apparently, more mature themes... Super stoked for it really.
What are your thoughts and opinions on the redesigns in Young Justice: Outsiders? I absolutely hate the redesigns personally. They're so unneeded and aren't explained! Character models are changed without reason! Superman's suit sucks now!
@@thenoirknight5729 The redesigns? I think that I got over their new looks just due to the way the characters were still being portrayed. The looks were jarring indeed, but the way the actors *still* nail their roles is quite amazing. I truly believe that maybe the art team changed a little between now and the start of the first season maybe introducing some who'd later do the comic runs with different styles.
@@SizzlingOne Yeah, maybe. I agree that the characters are still well portrayed 👍. It's just... the same guy who originally did Young Justice went on to do the DCAMU stuff, and then came back to do the designs. Which is likely the reason the designs are different and don't have that same feel. I just hate it everytime when everyone in a fictional universe changes their costume for some unexplained reason... EVEN THE VILLAINS!
Idk, i think The Batman by the jackie chan folk had the best animation and choreography quality for a weekly show, and nailed exactly how i imagine Batsy moves and fights i really appreciated it. BTAS tho will forever be the one.
Great video, but I want to mention that Beware the Batman is really awesome despite the weird animation. I got used to it after the first episode and Ioved the show. I was actually used to the weird CGI from Beast Wars Transformers, so it wasn't hard to like.
I think you guys need to do something in his dcau film costumes, seriously, the costumes used in justice league war, dark, throne of atlantis , etc was seriously awesome.
Major correction: Neal Adams (at 1:09) did NOT create the yellow circle. That was the contribution of Julius Schwartz, the editor who took over the Batman books at that time from Jack Schiff. Except for the yellow circle, the rest of the costume redesign comes from Carmine Infantino, the top artist at DC at that time. Neal Adams comes into contact with Batman in the late 60s, roughly 1968, in the pages of Brave and the Bold, then moves to become the pre-eminent Batman artist from 1969 to 1974 in the pages of Batman and Detective Comics, moving away from Brave and the Bold. Epilogue: With Neal Adams gone from B&B, Jim Aparo would step in, and do some of the best artwork of his life there, eventually becoming one of the longest-standing Batman artists of all time.
The Batman does deserve more credit(His season 4 and 5 with his stronger jawline worked therel. I thought the Joker works seeing the anime-esque style of it all, especially since his hair is supposed to be a callback to a Joker playing caed. I also love Brace and the Bold and YJ with the Under the Red Hood actor as Bruce.
I am a fan who hesitates to say one is my favorite over another. My reasoning is that people think that when you pick a favorite you spend the rest of your life comparing other versions to this favorite and being "disappointed" when they don't measure up. I DO love BTAS but when I started watching The Batman I intentionally thought "this ISN'T BTAS and I don't think it is trying to be. So I am going to enjoy it for what it is and not what it isn't" I feel like being a fan is about ENJOYING the property, not liking a fraction of it's existence and bitching about the rest. I love things about every Batman era and even if there is one I prefer I refuse to call it "the best" I don't see it as a competition. Also, Kya, I would LOVE to hang out and be nerdy with you!
I agree with you '92 Batman was the best, their episodes really had a darker tone which because of Tim Burton's Batman '89 was a big real success! Like who didn't want to be Batman as a kid around that time! But Batman beyond for me was my second favorite!
Honestly my favourite batman animated suit was batman beyond because of the rocket boots and in the abraham games he dosent have a Cape which really appealed to me
Bruce Timm’s a great artist and formed my childhood in Batman: The Animated series. But he is a sicko and has a weird fetish for Batgirl. Remember The Killing Joke? Like wtf, Tim. Stop making fan fiction!!

I think this is one of the best episodes so far of this channel good work and keep it up
When I was a kid, I watched On Leather Wings before I knew ANYTHING about Batman. Langstrom's transformation to Man-Bat gave me shivers. I didn't become a fan up until 2009. And we all know what happened then.

Yellow Spandex is my favorite show on now this nerd Kya does such a great job
Brave and the bold was My childhood! I loved it!
Keep doing these. I love seeing different iterations of costumes.
BTAS/JL/JLU and Batman: The Brave and the Bold are the best ones for me. I thought the writing on Beware the Batman was pretty solid, but yeah, the animation style did not look good at all.

You're right, Deathstroke was just the best. I could listen to Ron Pearlman doing his/Lich's voice all day.
"Batman: the Brave and the Bold" was a missed opportunity for DC . That show was exponentially brilliant! Hands down.

Kya Quinn You the GREATEST
True about slade
Yo Batman brave and the bold was the absolute best and is waaaaayyyy too underrated
Batman the animated series is tight...one of the best cartoons of our time....However I do want to say that "The Batman" i feel is really underrated. I love that show.
Mighty Wombat it's great
it was but some of the reimagined versions of the character didn't received positive reaction from what i heard but i liked most of them personally

She said "toyetic"....I....I can't even. I love "Freakazoid!" so freaking much.
Idk, i think The Batman by the jackie chan folk had the best animation and choreography quality for a weekly show, and nailed exactly how i imagine Batsy moves and fights i really appreciated it. BTAS tho will forever be the one.
Kal El love that show
The best part of The Batman is that Batman is a speedster. He's surprisingly fast
Great video, but I want to mention that Beware the Batman is really awesome despite the weird animation. I got used to it after the first episode and Ioved the show. I was actually used to the weird CGI from Beast Wars Transformers, so it wasn't hard to like.

I think to Joker in The Batman looks awesome and he is my favorite Joker voice-wise (also Mister Freeze looks bad ass )
Awesome video!!!
9:40 Kevin didn't even want to change his Bat-voice for JL-Action, citing inconsistency as his motive.

:Batman I need air sport because I can’t fly
Me: WTF CANT U GLIDE WITH UR CAPE COME ON!!!!
Am I tripping or does the sound of Mr. Freeze’s hand sliding against the glass at 3:28 sound exactly like the intro to humble?
