Loved your Tennessee accent. I have a lot of family there. The turkey, rooster, dog and wild birds were delightful. Comforting.
I actually made one of these little cattle pannel shelters and camped in it for a little while. It worked excellent. I built mine up off of the ground though. I also had three heavy tarps that I covered it with and closed the ends in with plywood and added a door with a window in it made out of a sheet of clear hard plastic. I highly recommend it over a tent anyday.

build a frame, cover w plywood or ?...just smaller than the perimeter of the hoophouse....that way when covered w plastic/tarps...the tarp will hang over the edge of the floor....and no water will run in on the floor....
Hi, now that you've had your greenhouse for a year, how is the plastic holding up. I was warned that wind will rub the plastic against the metal and lots of holes would be the result within a year. Can you confirm this? THanks a lot from NZ. E.
@@dignanstcommgarden3924 I saw another greenhouse video where he purchases plastic remnants from commercial quality suppliers - much thicker/long lasting.

Thanks for sharing. I built one of these to use as goat shelter. That was 5 years ago and it’s still in use. We’ve had to replace tarps and add smaller wire to keep baby goats from escaping. I cringe seeing your goat tethered to a post. Her only self defense is to bleat and run if threatened/attacked. We’re downsizing goat herd so we’re thinking about converting to a greenhouse since the composted manure will be ready to plant come spring. Got some good tips so thanks again for sharing.

If you bought your plastic from the local hardware store, and it does not specifically say "greenhouse plastic sheeting", then you have wasted your money. I did exactly the same thing, buying my plastic from my local hardware store, and it disintegrated within the first year. You need to go to Google, search for greenhouse plastic sheeting and then buy your plastic from one of the places that you find as a result from your search. The stuff is treated to withstand UV light and is additionally coated on the inside with a substance that inhibits moisture condensation. It's a little more expensive than plain plastic, but still, it is much less expensive then fine ordinary plastic sheet as it will last four times as long

I made on but I could not help but beef it up quite a bit. We are in Michigan and the winters can be fun. It handled the winter of 2018/2019 ok so now I will be using it for the first time this spring as soon as I get home from my business trip.
Can u explain what u did to beef it up. I'm in northern indiana and would love to make this for my back yard but am hesitant because of out winters as well

@@maryschermerhorn3893 Sure you can with a little help. My grand Daughter helped me and she was only 12 at the time. I do not have any plans I just watched a few youtube videos and I modified it. I had seen some had collapsed in the heavy snow so I wanted to prevent that. I put 3 4x4's down the center and put a 2x6 on each side of it running the length. It has survived 2 Michigan inters with no problems at all. I am tall so I built a 2 foot high wall and placed my hoops on top of that. Gave me a lot more head room and I have a BUNCH of wild rabbits around where I put this and I thought they would just chew through the plastic. So far no problems and I still have as many or more rabbits than ever. The are very brave I have a shooting range and when we are shooting we have to stop so they can hop across the range...... Trust me if I can do it you can do it.

Love the green house and nice modifications. You probably already learned this, but it's not a good idea to keep your blueberries in the green house as they are bee and insect pollenated. Unless you are going to take the time to harvest some pollen and then visit each blossom with a paint brush dipped in it, you are not going to harvest blueberries in a green house - unless you have a bumble bee or such to do the work for you.
Nice greenhouse. -Do the cattle panels rust? Did you paint the steel? -I would make the window open out to shed the rain.

I know this is an old video but just curious if there was any reason you mounted the door swinging in as opposed to swinging out.
I would have made the window and door swing out instead of in to maximize space

What's the temperature inside
Is the foam on the end pieces covering PVC?
We used Frost King Pipe insulation, which was cheap and actually has held up good. I'm not sure what TexasPrepper2 used and I don't remember the material that Frost King uses

Sixteen foot long and fifty inches wide. With a seven foot base, the center of the house is over six foot tall

Poor goat tied up on a chain!
We sold our goat Annie over a year ago. We had a lot for her to move around in without the chain, but we liked for her to eat the fresh grass in our yard, Sometimes people can't see the whole picture. She was a very sweet goat and a good mother to her babies, an thank you for the concern so thought I would let you know we no longer have her.
