And what’s worse? Coritiba (CAP’s rivals) were relegated on their centenary essentially by Fluminense (if im not mistaken) and the same thing happens to CAP on their centenary
6:44 Vitória fan here, saying we were never on a relegation race is a MASSIVE understatement. It took us 9 games until our first win, and we occupied the bottom 5 for almost the entire first half of the season. It was just final part of the championship that we built a gap to relegation with an amazing streak of points, with massive support of the fans and a not so good squad. We were serious candidates to relegation so what happened was a miracle!
Important to remember, that Fluminense and Atlético-MG (Yeah, the same who was in the Final of Brazilian cup and Libertadores) was fighting against relegation until the LAST round. If Athletico-PR had won the last game against Atlético-MG, they would be in Serie B right now (again, the same who was in 2 finals). Brasileirão is CRAZY
Im a Corinthians fan (corinthiano). I Really like your chanel, good videos. Man, in 9:01 you put a São Paulo photo instead Corinthians, They are our rivals brooooooo
Brasileirão is definetely something else, and not only Série A, but specially Série B, C and D. With Athletico's relegation we will have 2 HUGE MASSIVE derbies in next year's Série B: AtleTiba (Athletico vs Coritiba) and the even bigger Re-Pa (Remo vs Paysandu), which even tho involves 2 clubs with little national relevance and no Série A trophies, is still the MOST PLAYED FOOTBALL MATCH IN HISTORY. Yes, you read that right, the football match that has repeated itself the most since the sport's conception is an unkown derby between 2 clubs from the Amazon Forest 👍 We are talking about a whopping 775 matches between those 2 since 1914... 775 matches... And we already have 3 more confirmed for the next year, with the possibility of 7 (all official matches) and even 8 if the governor decides to promote a friendly match to showcase the derby to the rest of the world during the COP30 conference that will happen in our city in the next year. Definitely worth a at least a quick video. Both clubs have over 1 MILLION fans EACH and the local stadium gets divided in half during the derbies, with 25k Remo fans and 25k Paysandu fans spliting the stadium in half. Also Paysandu had a largest average attendance than SANTOS this year, playing in the same division as them (Série B, which btw Santos was the champion and paysandu didn't even finish among the top 10), and Remo which was in the THIRD DIVISION (Série C) this season surpassed both and ended the season with Brasileirão's 16th biggest average attendance, in front of 5 Série A clubs and 19 Série B clubs, again: PLAYING THE THIRD DIVISION. Next year both clubs will be together in Série B and Remo's goal is to return to Série A in 2026!
I'd love to see a video in english about the Re-Pa derby. You guys have massive fanbases and make wonderful spectacles in the stadiums. Remo's mosaics this year were amazing, tbh even better than most of Botafogo's mosaics we made. I hope to meet Remo and Paysandu in Série A 2026, both clubs definitely deserve their spot in the elite By the way congratulations for the promotion! And the crowd in that game? Cmon, 50k people in the stadium to watch a Série C match is something only big clubs can do. You guys need to come back to the elite
Just to remind you that after Botafogo relegation in 2020 we came back on our own. Textor started investing in Botafogo only in March 2022 after the state championship of that year.
Just a reminder, Corinthians had in the 29th round a 62% chance of being relegated, so classify to the Libertadores was a huge win, and Memphis is a fucking beast 👉😬👈
Juventude too was affected by the floods, their stadium did not flood like Grêmio's (4:41) and Inter's (10:25) in Porto Alegre, but their city (Caxias) had lots of landslides that blocked roads that basically turned it into an island. The airport in Caxias too suddenly became the main airport of the state (and it does not have enough capacity for that) and could only be used for emergencies by the rescue teams and supplies, so basically they were stuck there and could not play. Like Inter and Grêmio, they had to play their home games outside the state for logistical and financial issues.
I'd just like to mention that 1/4 of clubs are relegated each season (4 out of 20), and it's a very competitive championship, like only 3 or 4 rounds before the end of the championship, 10 clubs could still be mathematically relegated. This makes relegation really common for big, traditional clubs in Brazil. Fluminense, the 2023 Libertadores champion fighting to stay in Séria A until the last match.
Congratulations on the excellent work talking about the Brazilian championship. (when you started talking about Corinthians, you put an image of their rival São Paulo FC).
You forgot to say that Gremio’s bad season fault was also in the president’s hands, Alberto Guerra, and the ex-coach, Renato Portaluppi, they kept blaming the bad season in the floods and the lack of competitive people in the club and did nothing to try improve their performance like Internacional did.
As a Juvnetude Fan, i don't call 15th place a MEEEH year... Actually was a fantastic year beacase our budget was the smallets between all teams!!! Yeah we were one goal from going to sulamericana, but our main objective was completed and next year we can enjoy one more year at serie A.
As a Fluminense fan, i was gonna be content with just escaping relegation, im super happy that we also qualified for the Sula. Shows how amazing this league is. Went from 20th, to escaping relegation and being 16th to ending up qualifying for a continental competition
Another video about the Brazilian league, very good, my friend, keep following next year as the league has everything to continue in a very good way, hugs from the São Paulo FC fans
Congratulations also to Santos, Mirassol, Sport and Ceará for achieving promotion to the first division of Brazil! Interesting fact: Mirassol will compete in the Brasileirão Série A for the first time in its history and in the year they will complete 100 years! They are from the city of the same name (Mirassol) which is in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The city is small, but it will have a club in the first division! Sport and Ceará are known for being clubs "Yo-Yo", despite being very traditional clubs. Curiosity 2: Novorizontino last year and this year did not move up to the first division for the first time in its history by 1 point 💀
very nice video on brazilian football :) as a brazilian and a gaucho (from rio grande do sul, the state which had a catastrophe) there is two additions Juventude was poppin off until Inter hired their coach Bahiawas almost relagated from serie A, so coming back to libertadores after more than 30 years is a big recover Also, Inter had a small chance of winning the league in the final rounds so...
At 2:00 theres another interesting thing to say about Athletico Paranaense. They were relegated in their centenary, and many brazilian clubs are relegated at their centenary, thats almost a curse Lol.
Great content man, always appreciate international content about our league. Of course the center of international club football is europe, but you enjoy the game much more by exploring other influential leagues and brasileirão is pretty unique on how many competitive/title contenders teams we have every year
Just a reminder. Sao Paulo is not the only team to win the title 3 times, they are the only one to win 3 times in the new format Santos won the title 5 times in a row
Corinthians Fan here, and all I have to say is that I’m so proud of this team, it’s great to see that they probably will be on the libertadores again, I love this team so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻 And btw, a little correction here: U put the players from São Paulo to represent us, and it’s kinda weird, because they are one of our biggest rivals lol
Botafogo went to the first division WITHOUT help from John Textor, he only bought the club AFTER it was promoted (he would only buy the club if they managed to get promoted). And Botafogo has only played in the second division 3 times in its 130-year history
I'm a Cruzeiro fan and I wish I had your optimism 😅 Our coach is terrible and the guy who oversees signings at our club is a very shady person, to put it mildly. People argue that our coach needs time to implement """his vision and play style""", but brazilian schedule has everything BUT time to work. Also, on a personal level, I find his style really annoying, a tiki-taka 2.0.
"nothing much to say about bahia" the first national champion and the first brazilian team to participate in the Libertadores making a 35 years comeback thanks to finally being able to compete financially with the southern teams. watchout for the northeast teams. the difference is shortening.

Hi! 🇧🇷 Thank you for all the support recently. The Brazilian league was really a joy to watch this year. Who will be next years champions?

Corinthians. garro, yuri and memphis are cooking. If Pedro comes back well from injury and felipe’s work keeps going great they big contenders too
Flamengo for sure❤️🖤
