At Indian restaurants, Lamb Vindaloo had 1,170 calories and Chicken Tikka Masala had 1,430 calories. At Vietnamese restaurants, Beef Pho had 940 calories and Lemongrass Chicken had 1,270 calories. At Thai restaurants, Drunken Noodles with Chicken had 1,120 calories and Chicken Pad Thai had 1,480 calories. At Italian restaurants, Fettuccine Alfredo, which in 1994 the Center for Science in the Public Interest famously called a “heart attack on a plate,” had 2,270 calories." 1 bigmac = 563 calories. by no mean little. by no mean exceptionally large vs the above examples... everything with moderation?

Although fast food chains are finding more subtle ways and loopholes to earn more cash, the ultimate responsibility falls on the consumers themselves. It's up to the parents to provide healthy home-cooked meal to their kids, while instructing that fast foods should be considered special treats only available once a week or two. That doesn't mean we should put all the blame to parents that are poor, both of them having work to make the ends meet, living in a food desert district, etc. But at least they have to be aware of the consequences of resorting to fast food.
As long as you have functioning kidneys, salt is not a problem and in fact, protects against heart disease. It also contains more than 84 trace minerals and none of the additives or aluminum compounds found in refined ("regular, white") table salt.
I am asian, when i was young i seldom see obese people in the street but when the West brought their fastfoods into our country, today obesity becomes the norm...and illnesses like diabetes became part of our lives.
Asian here too. In the old days there is no food on demand. We had to work hard for our food. No cheap carbohydrates or plant oils. We eat what we plant or animals we raise and fry in animal fat. Sweets was a treat not a daily foods. There was no problem. Today highly process man made foods and convenient eating is the source of the problem.
@Rick James5678 Are you saying Western Nations aren't fat, obese, and diabetes increasing dramatically? Just like you I don't eat that way. The advice of today government foods pyramid is totally backward. It should be the other way around.
Too easy to blame the Jews. Coca-Cola co-operated with the Nazi regime during 30's. All the business started in 1929 due to the recession in USA saying "no never again depression". After the World War II the US gave Marshall Aid to raise the administration around the world. That was the foot-in-the-door technique.
The business model is to create addiction- chiefly amidst the poor. The corporate leaders would not dream of touching their own products- and laugh at those who do. This is not Food - just Drugs that should be illegal.

Best decision you could have ever made. But make no mistake it's going to be hard, even so if you live in a so called food desert where literally no well-sorted grocery store exists within walking distance. If you need advice from a cocking-from-scrach mom, you can reach out to me at any time.
Take care!
Great choice, all of the refined carbs and vegetable seed oils wreak havoc on your body.

Money money. Pampered Indian prince mentality as well. If it was a daughter I doubt they'd go through with it
Im glad in my country the fresh and healthy food still cheaper then the fastfood and processed food, i mean if you have one bucks you can get vagie, egg, chiken, rice, noodle more vagie and one ice tea and you need 3-4bucks to eat big mac coke and fries nah people know which better we only go to fastfood when we want to hangout in long time with free Wi-Fi and big space lol
it feels so bad about those little ones who are getting hardwired in such a little age to those junk foods by these big brands
I can relate so much to the advertising of pizza in school, as I clearly remember I first tasted and ate Dominos pizza in my school in Mumbai India. It was served to us free of cost in school, surely the school management knew less then about this slow poison food. This was when the company outlet had just newly opened up in Mumbai.
It’s interesting how well kfc is doing in other countries but in the states it seems to being losing business daily🤷♀️
Really? I didn’t know that.
Coca Cola has one of the largest (if not the largest) distribution models of any company.
After all go to any small village in Africa or South America and go to any shop and you will find them selling Coca Cola
"Ronald McDonald came to my party, it was horrible"
I lost 3 lbs in a month with NO EXERCISE .
I live in Africa, and the Asians / Indians and wealthy African people here use these fast food joints as a way to boost their social status, I was completely shocked to see this, boasting about eating at Mc Donalds!
When Michelle Obama tried to promote healthy legislature via the healthy eating initiative for kids school lunch, she was ridiculed by parents who stated “you can’t control what our kids eat for lunch” and it quickly ended. That was so sad to see
Funny, while I was watching this documentary, youtube showed me a 5 second junk food ad!
Thank you for the making documentary on junk food. Eye Opener. Like the facts.
there are choices.
those cities with McDonalds without exception have markets and local restaurants too.
of course some veggies are grown in a questionable way, and often some local foods are as quick to kill you than any.
but there are choices, and those choices in the consumer's hand.
a quote for context, bcos that context is what most of these documentaties often missing:
"At Greek restaurants, the researchers found that a Greek salad has 960 calories and Moussaka had 1,440 calories. At Indian restaurants, Lamb Vindaloo had 1,170 calories and Chicken Tikka Masala had 1,430 calories. At Vietnamese restaurants, Beef Pho had 940 calories and Lemongrass Chicken had 1,270 calories. At Thai restaurants, Drunken Noodles with Chicken had 1,120 calories and Chicken Pad Thai had 1,480 calories. At Italian restaurants, Fettuccine Alfredo, which in 1994 the Center for Science in the Public Interest famously called a “heart attack on a plate,” had 2,270 calories."
1 bigmac = 563 calories. by no mean little. by no mean exceptionally large vs the above examples...
everything with moderation?
United States: Ronald McDonald had an assembly performance at our school when I was little around 1996. Like a slapstick comedy routine where-in he invited kids up and basically embarrassed and made fun of them for laughs from the audience...great marketing.
Did she just said "wow what an honour" to Ronald McDonald? 😂😂
yall watching this for entertainment...chile this is my homework
American fast food spread should be considered as a world wide pandemic.

When you have an assignment about this due Friday ;-;
Thanks for the documentary
My pregnancy was the wake up call for me , I couldn’t expose my baby to this poison. So, I stopped.
Now age 4 , I tried to protect him from all this madness, but I couldn’t completely but i still try .
I don’t know how parents expose their children to this themselves ,likewise other crazy routines like only vegetables or whatever else.
I agree.
Fast food outlets in schools is just about the most cynical move you could possibly think of. Can you imagine the kind of minds who would come up with it as a suggestion and then the kind of people who would agree to let it happen. It’s truly sickening
Corporate greed for money is universal, not only American. Corruption too.
This show actually made me like junk food more 😂 Thanks!!!
There are always some people who throw themselves under the bus
Me: Eating pizza while watching this
Eating pizza in its self if fine its the rubbish and stupid amounts of calories they add thats the problem..I make my own for my family if we want one..then I no exactly what we're Eating

I'm watching this and just pops up a Mc Donald's Ad🤣🤣🤣.
I drank my last fizzy drink in January 2018 now it's great to be clean. (Was addicted since childhood)
PS - I don't eat any fast food ever..
Me too.
Thankyou so much for making this !!!!
One time I saw a local Coca Cola commercial with an old actress promoting it and I was like "Jesus, grandma, you're ruining yourself...,"
Wrong, dumb and bad.
here cause some reeler said that this video is banned in india!
In France nothing is open except Macdonald on Sunday...

As long as you have functioning kidneys, salt is not a problem and in fact, protects against heart disease. Always salt to taste and get at least 3-5 g/day. 24:27 It's not the saturated fat and salt that's harmful. It's the carbohydrates and toxic unsaturated seed oils! This doctor Chandra Bhushan, is sadly misinformed. But then most doctors are. Thanks Ansel Keyes!
"Regular", white, refined salt IS bad for you. Healthy salt is any UNREFINED salt! Sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, those are the healthy choices. You can even buy USDA Certified Organic Himalayan Pink Salt on Amazon, which guarantees it is non-irradiated (essentially unpasteurized) and non-GMO!

Why are we even calling it food?

That Ronald McDonald clown has always creeped me out.

Big pharma and than creepy clown are best friends
That clown serves a purpose tho lol. Every year millions of dollars go towards The Ronald McDonald House Charity for children and families.
i wanna big mac, not a big bitch. stfu
The business model is to create addiction- chiefly amidst the poor. The corporate leaders would not dream of touching their own products- and laugh at those who do. This is not Food - just Drugs that should be illegal.
Yes, and tv and movies cause us to copy what we see... We're a copy cat species. That's how trends get started.
Marketers know these secrets... Subliminal messages, the use of certain colors, catchy slogans and musical beats or pieces of music to go along with the slogan.
We're brainwashed. Under a spell, if you will.
We're sheep... They are the sheep herders.
Disturbing, the deeper you go down the rabbit hole.
The guys who dress up as Ronald McDonald aren't allowed to eat at McDonalds. They know why they have these rules in place.
@sophia Angelina, I find that hard to believe based on how fat some of the executives are
@@Avellaniaumm, how many costumes do you have? Lol
That's creepy af.
@@notimportant3914 lol thats a lot of people but not all or even most. Humans aren't robots and marketers are sorceres. We can think freely no matter how many subliminal messages are thrown at you. I find it bizarre that you think the hyper advanced and developed human mind can be controlled in the manner you listed above. Yes there are strategies to encourage human behavior but if you keep learning after school and paying attention you wont be one of those people. its easy :D
Did you noticed recently more and more commercials directed straight to the children? !!!
Search for: Heather O‘Rourke Mcdnlds ad.
YES! They know children will be sucked into anything. They know no better.
It has always been that way.
so children will nag at their parents to buy them
Because children are much easier to manipulate.

Oh please this started in the states. Like we are so healthy and exceptional
People at times have had to drink hard alcohol because there isn’t clean water available. We all know this shit’s poison, but you sometimes have to take the environment into consideration.
I feel sorry for the kids more than anything, lacking the understanding of what this poison is doing to their health 😔
That is why it is a responsibility of parents to be aware of this like the French mother she gave the ok for the Macdonald's app game.
Feel sorry for the modern parents please. They don't have enough cooking skills or times so they have to do something to silence those children from their annoyance.

This kid’s having stomach surgery?!! He could lose that weight in 4-5 months. Yes, it would be a sacrifice. Yes, it would be difficult. He would need surgery for loose skin when he’s done, but to cut someone open and start modifying their body simply cause they have no self control or simply aren’t even willing to try (“I’ll stop after the surgery”) is absurd and an abuse of your medical license.
