    The fact that this comes with Pete's presets is a big selling point for me. I've been considering buying the Fender Tone Master Pro, but the price gives me pause. The Trident costs approximately a 3rd of the price and sounds great. NOTE - I only use modeling units for direct recording.

      I bought a Boss ME-90 for a decent price but I still got the Tone Master Pro. The ME-90 is like a Toyota Corolla, functional. The Pro is a Ferrari, functional but also thrilling in design achievement. The updates are amazing. The Computer Control app is so easy to navigate. The sound is stellar. 8 processor cores make it future-proofed. More updates at Xmas. The Bass amps. More guitar amps. More effects. Sampling. The 7" color touch screen is crystal clear high resolution. I would like to see Pete's presets on the TMP. The price is 4 years of R&D intelligently designed at Fender. When you have it in front of you it is easy to see it's greatness.

      The presets do not sound like this I have the board and talk about this very reason! You have to remember you’re listening to a digital signal compressed. You also do not know his pickup, pickup height, his string choice in every preset nor guitar he used to make them, you don’t know what preamps he recorded the signal audio interface he made patch with eq setting in his recording software. Too many factors one of two of his presets are usable out of the box now the chop tones are very good but again not all are usable or will sound like there demos. A lot of reviewers leave out a lot of tonal information. The unit is good. I also have done my own patches with my own it’s on my page. I have about 7 patches done useable that I a/b through a pa and an amp head and cab.

      In Germany the Fender Tone Master Pro costs barely under 1,900 Euros. The Trident is available at 399 Euros. If you are on a budget, this is a really great alternative. Different from Kemper, Fractal etc. you don't need to be a rocket scientist to operate it. The sound is of course not quite up to the big elite. But it's phantastic given the price point. Any more questions?

    I have been touring with a Kermper unit for around ten years … my NUX trident arrives 3 days ago and it’s impressive how good it sounds the amps and the effects…It’s time for the Kemper to retire from travelling and to use it in the studio at home and give the NUX the chance to play as starting line up player. Fits perfectly in the guitar case.

    I am a pedal reviewer and have reviewed over 2700 pedals. I think I can tell by know what is killer and what sucks, lol. My board gets what I love. The price on a single pedal is irrelevant. I have and kept 4 of the NUX Re-Issue Series and not because they were $60 a pop. They are there because they sound as good as pedals I paid up to $400 for that are sitting on the same board. The NUX Re-Issue Delay is a clone of the Ibanez AD-80 Analog delay. In a blindfold test I couldn't hear any difference. I am sure because they are to using the exact same Panasonic 3202 & 3205 BBD chips that classic antique Ibanez has. I can not say every NUX is amazing but they have as big a share of killer stuff as any other brand and usually at a fraction of the price.
    So it is great that Pete is going to be doing a lot more NUX things. If you love what you hear you will even be able to afford to buy the damn thing, LOL 😇

    I bought this multifx and is garbage. All the amp models have different volume levels. The 5150 amp model sounds lofi. I used Celestion IRs (including the PT IRs) and for some reason the SLO with the IR drops the volume significantly.
    Effects list is also limited compared to the Pod Go or Headrush. Not much delay and reverb options. I guess it’s the design because it is switchable but they sound bad too.

    Nux claims 1ms latency. Can anyone confirm that?

    • @IshredGuitar
      @IshredGuitar Місяць тому +1

      Most modeling products have latencies in the range of 2ms empty box rated which is roughly equivalent to 2 feet away from the speaker. Example: an empty block in Fractal Axe Fx III is 1ms latency so when you add a amp & drive pedal it goes to 2ms, if you use 3rd party IR's your latency can go up especially if there's leading silence in the capture. Delay, Reverb and Cab do not add latency unless your using stereo selections. But some 3rd party IRs can add latency This is why I don't like IRs! If you use mono pedal selections they won't add latency, legacy stereo selections add a slight amount of latency, I always load last block with a legacy stereo pedal all my other selections are mono. With most any of these newer modelers when you add amp and a drive pedal your latency goes to from 2 to 3ms. Fractal goes from 1ms to 2ms. I suspect Nux latency is around 2ms empty block, no way is it 1ms! it's just when you add a amp & cab the latency go's up to 3ms latency. But even at 2ms empty block if you load your blocks correctly and use 48kHz sampling rate you'll get roughly 3ms latency which is close to instantaneous.

    • @bsheen
      @bsheen Місяць тому +1

      @@IshredGuitar appreciate the info. I'll have to check the IRs I made to confirm the beginning space. I run an FM3 and really only notice the latency when I take the headphones off and place them around my neck. I can hear the natural string sound and the sound from the headphones at the same time and notice it then. But obviously I don't generally play like this.

    • @IshredGuitar
      @IshredGuitar Місяць тому +1

      I'm a bit of a latency and sampling rate sound nerd lol! I also strive for better guitar tone these days. They went away from 96kHz sampling rate for pro modelers because using 96kHz sampling just uses more DSP and they figured out that the 96kHz just adds more "aliasing noise" which hurts your tone when you use gain. 48kHz is the best and considered pro standard, I wanted to stay with Zoom and Boss products since I've been using them since I was a teen but they won't let go of 44.1kHz sampling rate and in my opinion it does affect perceived latency as well as overall latency as the sampling rate converters take a snap shot of the guitar signal coming in and converts in a micro second to digital and when you take just a bit bigger bite with 48kHz your getting the signal conversion faster and our ears can hear it! If the artists hears it and feels it then his tracks become even better through artist inspiration. Thus we're the creators, the studio sound engineers are not the artists. Even though the engineers believe they doubled Nyquist theorem, I'm referring to Zoom and Boss sound engineers, they're not near the engineers as Fractal or Line 6. I find this stuff fascinating and I read as much as I can on sound engineer data and study it a lot when I should be practicing my guitar chops. lo! Anyway, I believe the true reason is both these companies Zoom and Boss purchased large amounts of DSP core chips that have architecture written for 44.1kHz, it's about money for them. Nux Trident , Hotone Ampero II and Fractal get it. Line 6 Helix floor made a solid unit with their floor model with its dual core DSP's. FM3? That's a powerful board modeler your FM3 but it's only 25-35% as powerful as the Fractal Axe FX III. I think I would probably love it though.
