Awesome and very interesting rundown! I just grew found of the unobtanium as well, but I’m not quite sure how to implement it in my rig. Do you have both sides engaged at all time and it not, how do you switch it. It doesn’t do midi , does it? Keep up the good work, mate 🙌🏻
Pete I really dig how you’ve made such clean playing so - not stiff. Lots of cats on their advance drop the blues grease as they reach into longer and more informed phrasing. But they lose fire and we all know it when we see it. Those who carry the swagger and fire wherever their minds go. It’s rare - Huff, Lukather, Morse, Gilbert, Landau, Bumble. There is a class. And we’re proud watching you being in that. Keep playing!
Hey Pete! I was at the Malvern gig... (I'm the kid who went to get my t-shirt signed and talked to you about EVH and Peter Frampton)... and your tone was just incredible... Great insight into your rig, I was super curious to find out what you were using and now I know! Keep doing what you're doing man, you're the best 👍🏻🎶
I am an old musician from the east, but I adore your taste and intelligence in the field of art, especially guitar, instead of understanding a lot. Thank you, my beautiful artist friend 👍💫💫💫🎸❤️🎸✅🎩🎩👍🎼🎼🎼🎼🏡🙏🏻💫
You put so much effort into your shows Guys and the amount of equipment you carry around, hats off to you, I can say from experience this show you put on is outstanding. Nice to see you back in the UK have a wonderful tour 👍🤟🤟
Using that variac on your power is a brilliant idea. Have a great tour Pete. Can’t wait to catch the live shows on UA-cam. Be safe and rock your butt off! 🤘
Hey Pete great stuff. I see you are back to amps and pedals and left the quad cortex behind this tour. I also dig that you brought out love for your Pete Thorn OG Sig Standard. Rock on 🤘!
Excellent live rig breakdown Peter. That’s the first video of the Suhr Aura I’ve seen and it’s glorious, that clear coat alone shows the attentional to detail. Have a stellar tour bro
A really like these behind the scenes videos, they give an insight into the man, the myth, the magic even though a end up befuddled, love it. Thanks very much for sharing Pete. 🏴👍👍👍👍🥃Respect to you mate.
As always Pete you share so much with us. Truely inspiring in every respect so a big thank you to you 😃 By the way you've got some great looking guitars there! Hope all goes well on your tour.
Hi Pete - caught your show last night in High Wycombe, I jumped at the chance to see you play live and in person! I brought my children along hoping to ignite some passion for rock! Mission accomplished. We loved it, and the rock world has two new fans. It makes a world of difference to see a production with talented musicians who have a passion for the songs they're covering. That comes through to the audience. What really impressed me Pete is that your playing came across as if you had created the music yourself, rather than just someone playing someone's compositions. You make them your own - the emotion you put into the playing and and your attention to detail (notes, tones - everything) is astounding. Especially on YYZ, that was a guitar nerd highlight for me 🙂 Also - thanks for taking the time to sign my kid's poster and chat with them - that made the night! You are a class act. Also thanks again for all the time you put into your channel and various forums, social media - for the benefit of the guitar community. It is an immense help to us all! Good luck and long may you keep rocking!
Stage volume structured around the snare drum is a brilliant way to explain what reasonable, sane stage volume should be! I'll definitly be stealing that turn of phrase.
I really like how you did this rundown Pete. You actually showed the sounds live. Different than the normal rundown we usually see from Premier Guitar etc. Cool....🎸🤘
Thanks Pete, the Unobtanium is a fantastic pedal and with the extra switch option we have 3 dirt pedals in 1 and it sounds so good. I can take my pedalboard into any clean amp and I know I have great crunch, rhythm and solo sounds at my feet.
Dude I love you man I learn so much from you,, I am not a guitarist but a very experimental but especially functional when necessary fretless Bassist... You Just inspire...
Really enjoyed watching you play in Hull on Sunday. Rig sounded fantastic. To be honest the whole band sounded great to, highly recommend seeing the show.
status quo - down down ,,, Cool , I was a very young kid when that song was on the color tv haha, I was a rocker since i was just about before 4yrs old.
@@MRxr400 I am sorry. You are right. I want to know what people are playing and everything is a copy of everything else. That Suhr LP copy looks more like a LP than an LP. I wonder if Gibson tried making guitars with a smaller angle, like the Suhr? I’m sure they did, with all the broken headstocks. Did they sound the same? I always wonder about people with bursts. How do they protect the headstock? I have seen headstock breaks on the slightest drop. It’s strange that Gibson hasn’t figured out a way to protect the headstock and not change the sound.
@@rickjason215 there are some amazing guitars out there that take the original design and address the flaws. Suhr is one of them, PRS are passionate about quality. fender and gibson both need to lift their game, as a name doesn't impress me, a quality instrument that speaks to me does. all good mate. i'm not precious about it all. all my guitars are either strat or tele, even LP shaped, but none are from the two original companies.
Love that you've included some Quo in the gig! I'll probably be shot down in flames for saying it by the cool rock dues watching this, but I loved their early stuff. Btw , I've done a few gigs with your drummer Tim as dep and he's absolutely fabulous!
Cracking show in the Liverpool Phil, nailed every note from the off! That Suhr Aura looked incredible from where I was sat all the way back in Upper Circle - I was wondering what it was all night. The Led Zep and Aerosmith stuff gave me the chills, what a vocalist!!!
Wow that was great to see your RIG DR THORN you nearly have as many controls as 737 ,good idea with step down to variac very wise ,also maybe i dont say every time love your guitar playing you play with soul emotionin your SOLOS not many can
Theres a lot going on with that rig, but still really straight forward. I have become addicted to going w/d, it just gives everything more space. I came here for some hi res video of that Aura, I stayed for the fantastic sound check clips (particularly the YYZ clip). Safe travels, Pete.
Well that was pretty awesome… as expected! Such a cool rig… and if you want your US fans to salivate about a Classic Rock Show here in the States you’ve very much succeeded - what a just Cracker Jack sounding band. Spectacular. Thanks for doing this while having a rather full plate Pete!
Very nice. Nice to see the other guitarist do 4CM with the Fractal. I didn't like my Helix amp model tones to powercab so I'm recently trying Helix with my blackstar amp for FX only (and my pedal board is still crying to be used) .....much much better. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work Pete.
thank you for sharing your rig Pete, so much fun seeing it ❤
I love that you’re a master of both technical knowledge and musicianship.
I still feel like a student!
