If any of the editors see my comment, just know that the little comedic edits you guys do absolutely carry the content to a higher level. I always enjoy these episodes more with those type of edits like making fun of Pete saying reverb 50 times 😂
I agree with you 100%... It's what sets these videos apart from your run of the mill reviews.
I found them jarring but to each their own. Can’t please everybody.
I agree wholeheartedly. Keep it up you fine Anderton editors :)
Its like Pete said reverb once, and it just kept repeating.
“Let your ears decide”

Lmao
I've tried the Sheriff, but I haven't played the Deputy....
underrated comment
All around in my hometown, they're trying to hear my amp 😁
I saw what you did there.
Nicely done 😂
I see what you did there..😂
I few years back, I asked the Captain's opinion on the Marshall Origin 50 on an Instagram livestream. He said it didn't have enough gain. I'm glad to see Pete showing him the beauty behind an amp like this that's not over the top. It's the firm foundation under a well built tone.
This amp is on my must get list. Sounds great and does everything I would want an amp to do. Great job with the collab Pete! I predict this will be a hot seller and later probably a Victory Amp Deputy pedal.
Wow! Sounds amazing!
Danish Pete slowly making his way up as the tone CEO
The Tycoon of Tone!
@@TheRealSolarflaresReturns i was kinda joking with that one, I rarely like anything that is not a high quality high gain tone
@@TheRealSolarflaresReturns damn that's some deep insight you definitely know your stuff. I guess that's why they couldn't replicate the original 5150 sound in 30 years for the life of it
Nice clean sounds! Great dirt! Love the amp.
Holy crap that amp is insane. Well done Pete. Well done.
Aww man! Such a killer sounding Amp.. right up my alley!! Definitely gonna check one out. And Pete's playing is 🔥 🙂✌️
Love the video room refresh!
Such a fantastic demo....
Nice and shplangy like a vintage marshall should be. Sounds great! Probably my favorite victory to date. Well done gents!
Great sounding amp, reminds me of my Marshall Astoria Custom.
Mate don’t comment often but truly this is the best victory amp yet I have a DP 40 and also a sheriff 44 which I did a little bit of a tube conversion on using a slightly different model tube to correct the problem with my effect loop and now have no troubles But I truly think you hit the nail on the head with this design. I have been using a Morgan MVP 66 to get my Clapton tones for the most part as a gigging amplifier most recently but I am happy truly to see this one come out great job, great design and by the way captain, I don’t care how much of the amp company you own or how much money you make I wish you the best with everything you’re doing have a fortune invested and equipment from you guys so we love you right here in America too man keep it up I’ve been teaching guitar for almost 40 years and have used your channel exclusively and tell my students to do the same keep up the great work. Thanks again for such a great amp design. Waiting on mine to arrive from Sweetwater now. Lol. visit us in Richmond, Virginia bring victory to Richmond Virginia. I truly think you guys should mark it out to some of these smaller stores your delivering a product that these guys just aren’t so familiar with unfortunately, I think the south east is one of the most ignorant areas in the country I think you’ll even see your Midwest cells will outdo your south east even with the Allman Brothers legend, regardless truly guys bring more victory products here I’d love to see my students having easier access and being able to try these amps all of them rather than ordering blindly. Thanks again. 15:38 15:43
Great sounding amp. I'm sold on that $10k Strat too!
What a delightful sounding amp.
Love this channel and all you guys do! This amp sounds phenomenal. Then again, Pete could make any amp sound good.
Favourite comment in the video - “do you have anything to do with Andertons, Lee?” 😁
Sounds great even thorough my headphones. Plus it seems so versatile and simple to use!
I would love to try one.
Btw many years ago I used a custom 1x12 slightly oversized cab which I still have.
I didn’t build it knowing what I was doing but I couldn’t have a 2x12 at home or take to band practice each week.
In my 1x12 I put a Fane speaker in it and I used to get compliments from sound engineers on how potent and good the cab sounded. Even though it looked hideous and not traditional 😂
This might be my next amp. For years I've been playing a Peavey Classic 20 MH -- The Peavey does the clean/breakup/low gain thing well for my ambient and post rock stuff but it's secret (as noted on this channel years ago) is if you crank it you can get a very decent rock/hard rock sound. With a les paul and a overdrive in front I can cover Alter Bridge territory just fine. This amp scratches the same itch and sounds 100% better doing it. Gonna have to try one!
🎵🎶I own a Sheriff 🎶
But ive got to buy a Deputy 🎶
Sounds awesome! Now I just need Victory to release a 2 channel amp that has 1 channel that's the Deputy and the other as the Kraken lead channel. Would be an instant buy for me!
You can put the kraken tube preamp in the effects loop.
Amp sounds great!
And that back-line is sick
Lovely sounding amp, pretty versatile gain-wise too.
Loving the new look of the room too.
Missing out on a signature delay pedal called “Re-Pete”
Send me a victory amp in exchange for great idea
look really cool simple but sound great, it's ok Mr. Lee that you are involve with the company i think people can juge by the tone and your love for guitars :)
I’d really like to hear this amp at its most clean for a point of reference. I love the way it adds gain with playing dynamics, but I really want to hear the cleanest version of it.
I'm really liking the studio refresh. It's dark, though! You guys need to wear your pastel shirts.
I'm too happy with my v140 super duchess to consider this but if I was in the market for a small but powerful Marshall type circuit with digital reverb I'd give it a shot for sure. Sounded great to me. Martin smashes it yet again. And Pete knows toan. So win. ❤
Great tones!
Pete, why you still use the old version of the Dane? Nice to see the ER-2 on your board!
Is this amp distributed in the USA? This seems like a PRS HDRX 20 with reverb.
Is Victory going to follow this up soon with the V1 and V4 pedals as well?
Great video
That rug like.. really ties the room together man.
Wow 🤩
This amp sounds killer. Also, regarding the EL86 valves used in this amp, just checked ebay and these are readily available at very cheap prices! Maybe the prices will go up now that Victory are using them?
What cables do you guys use in here?
That does what I want an amp to do. Really nice
Sounds awesome! Need to demo this soon.
editing petes little blips mightve been the best idea you guys had 🤣
Will a V4 version of this come out? I’d love to own one and stick it on my pedalboard
I may be BIASED about this amp - hysterical
With collaborations like this you are changing the guitar sound universe ❤❤❤
Of all the Victory amps so far this is the one that sounds perfect for my needs! But it doesn’t have the lunchbox option? Please tell me there really is one in the works - why wouldn’t there be one like there is for all their other models?
What was that modulation he used at the end of the opening jam?
Very nice sound obviously, certainly made in England, but from which country do the valves come?
Probably England -- because they haven't been made for 40 years.
I got their copper amp a few months ago. I mostly like it, where it can get some really beautiful chimey tones, especially at lower volumes, but there is an issue where the louder it goes the more bassy the 2x12 cabinet gets. In a band setting i have to completely roll off the bass. Ive had other egnator and marshall 2x12s and 4x10s and never had this problem before. Hope they can figure out a fix for that on a v2 of the amp.
Great clean sound. Has the strat sounding full
Does it have enough headroom on the clean setting to do choppy funk chords without breaking up?
I am so glad you used Deputy, it has been criminal that Marshall has never used it, at least I don't think they have but it is brilliant Pete! Victory Sherriff AND now the Victory Deputy!!! 🎼🎵"I shot the Sher,,,,,"🎼🎵ah juss kiddin...anyway Good on ya and of course it sounds brilliant too! Congratulations buddy
What's the story with the image from Anchorman at @0:57?
Is that a V4 DP Pedalboard Amp on top of the JTM?
Sounds awesome fellas. Cheers from Nova Scotia Canada.
Dammit. I had my next amp sorted out until now. That's really good.
“ I shot the sherif , but I did not shoot the deputy “ 🎵. Nice amp!
Hey I was wondering, is the Klon giveaway still happening at 1 mil? And the other milestone giveaways?
Can i use this amp on bedroom volume with the 1x12 cab?
I just love listening to Pete noodling around...
Although I think its not on Victory's plan, I think a lot of us here would like to see a more affordable version of this amp - a V1 or V4 version? - coming in the near future 🤚 Killer amp and gorgeous sounds! 👏👏👏
I'm disappointed that it's the same price as multi-channel amps like the Sheriff/Kraken/Jack and there's no Lunchbox version either. So it's £1349 or nothing.
I know it was Rob Chapman's signature head and he's not a Victory artist anymore, but they shouldn't have discontinued the RD1/BD1 - a simple Amp with the quality of sounds Victory is capable of, but more affordable is such a no-brainer to me.
Maybe they see the V4s as the more affordable (i.e. under a grand) option now.
Well … that sounds nice! 😳
Can it sound that good at lower volumes with the Master Volume down ? It's sounds amazing but 25w is a lot..
Is it an open E5 that Pete plays all the time, eg. at 11:01? Anyone know the fingering for it? 022400? 022x00?
Some very nice chords in Pete's intro, and this amp sounds fantastic, with great dynamics. Playing Devil's advocate, though: I've been gigging a 1989 Peavey Bandit recently (clean channel only), with a Telecaster and an always-on Boss BD-2, achieving a dynamic range from clean to fairly overdriven just by moving the guitar's volume control and altering my picking dynamics. Not as overdriven as the Deputy with Pete's Les Paul, but perfect for me. Of course the Peavey's not a valve amp, so the amps' characters will be different, but I'd really like to spend a couple of hours comparing my setup with the Deputy, if only to satisfy myself that it's worth investing in such an amp.
A nice tube pedal can give you a lot of the tube feel and sound. I use the crazy tube circuits tube overdrive and it’s great.
What is the speaker inside?
your new video room looks too dark , love Pete's playing
Being biased about a valve amp seems fitting...I'll get my coat...
I feel like the new setup doesn’t have enough light on Pete and Lee. Their hair blends in with the background. Idk if a softbox on top would be enough or if you have to make the bg even darker and a light focussed on pete and lee. But the other setup had more livingroom vibe.
I can dig it. Chances are the price is entirely out of my range.
Does it come with a cover
👍
The Dane with the Gain! 🎸🤘🏼
Will victory ever make an ODS?
Im surprised more companies dont make takes of those as they have so much clout.
Is there anything to the circuits that makes em harder or more expensive to make? I know a mass produced model wouldnt be as finessed as a handmade og but would be a cool thing to have around. I think vht do one but thats about it
Props to Lee for almost saying he's an owner of the brand they're demoing lmao
He showed an impressive level of restraint in not disclosing that info.
I for one was very impressed by the cajones of Lee in not “declaring any personal financial interest” in Victory.
Yeah- because that completely changes how it sounds huh?
@@stoneysdead689 But it does change how compliant Lee is with Advertising Standards, and with his promise to be a good boy.
@@ryanthenormal Well, I guess you'll have to cancel the date then- bummer. Hang in their brother- you'll find a good man somewhere.
Pete’s board is like an ode to Strymon, with 5 different pedals on there 😂 Glad to see the Protein is still holding strong though.
When is pete going to get together with tim pierce and put out some music? I can just imagine a jam session with these two. I wonder what they would come up with.
Can you assure us that it's not the Paoletti guitar that is also helping this sound great? (You plugged in other guitars)! You guy's do a great job.
Very nice 👌
I’ve had my eye on The Duchess/DP40 for years now, but just recently had been looking at it more seriously… naturally, that’s when they release The Deputy 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t have a Victory dealer near me, so I haven’t had the opportunity to play either of them. Can anyone tell me how they are compare to one another?
I would be really interested in hearing a shootout between this and the v40 (or dp40, v40d, or v140) and hear how different they sound so I can decide on my next amp. I sadly don't have a victory dealer near me
Not bad. I like it. A bit too much wattage for me at this point. But it sounds really good.
Whatty up Guys! Cheers from California! 🤟🏼⚠️
What kind of strat is Pete playing?!
Those highs are sparkly
Quick question: Who owns the Victory Amplifier company?
Who cares. Are you here for music or what?
And a little question for you. Do you work for free?
Spartacus.
Just want to say the rug is nice! Lol
😍
Wish they had a built in attenuator for bedroom volumes, hard to get a sense even with the SPL meter on how loud this is. Maybe Anderton's can fill us in?
sounds good, does it come in purple?
It should!!!
If I'd known this was coming out I'd have waited with buying the twin sister. That strat is epic. Better sell a kidney :-)
That’s the animal right there…I don’t even need to hear anymore…I’ll be waiting for that to be available in the us…
My eyes... 😮
Rhats nuce. Its less piwwr than my victiry but even in 7 watt mode volume not something lacking
Sounds like this fits in the lineup between the dutchess and the sheriff
I heard Lee bought Marshall amps.
Love the content, but that aged wood on the wall is way too dark for the studio setup
Not usually a fan of worn finishes, but that's a handsome Tele!
JTM 45 without the uncontrollable bass. Good job.
Like the new rug
Hey when showing off these new and expensive amps please show the insides. It’s nice to see what kind of craftsmanship and build quality a device has from the manufacturer. The new Gibson Falcon 5 and larger amp they are promoting are designed not as a standard tube amp build , using circuit boards and the like … not impressed as far as the manufacturing especially for the cost !
PCB construction doesn’t mean anything. Some companies do them very well and some build them poorly. It’s no different than turret board hand wiring, it’s the quality of the process not the process itself. By the way. The Gibson amps are made by mesa who have been using PCB’s for 40 years. They are well built.
Fighter jets, rockets, missles and the most complex and expensive items in the world use PCB. If an engineer wanted to try and use turret board construction they’d be laughed out of the company.
@@dansomerville yeah whatever, try to service or work on one
@@jdwild1698working on PCB’s is standard electronics repair. Marshall has been PCB since the 70’s. doesn’t seem to be a shortage of people modding or working on them….Friedman, Tone King, Mesa, Soldano, Bogner, Suhr also use PCB. The argument is old and played out.
@@dansomervilleSo you are claiming that it's just as easy for a layman to work on PCBs as it is a hand-wired amp? That's total BS and you know it.
Oh man, when you broke out the Les Paul .. wow
