First, it was wonderful meeting y'all at NAMM! All three of you are class acts to the infinite degree! Pete and Lee, thank you for not getting annoyed at me asking for pictures too! As for this guitar for Rabea, good lord is it a beaut! I cannot wait to get one! Cheers to the next NAMM too! See you then! ✌🤟🤘
In case anyone at Andertons is reading this. Strandberg has a very particular way in which they setup the intonation of their guitars when the ship them directly from sweeden, and the "preferred" strings are the dadario made for strandberg (at least for 7 strings). The tension is a bit specific on that set of strings. With that said id love to have more options with the same tension. To be fair the tension of the dadario is really well suited for the 7 string, but having options to by other brands of strings is always good. Very happy to hear that you are now selling Strandbergs. Personally i had a lot of qc issues with them and had to resend the guitar back to sweeden for repairs. With that said they were always great and efficient. I've had good experience with Andersons as well so Im assuming the qc will only get better.
My favorite UA-cam channel. It’s a bonus when Rabea or Chappers is on. I first started watching when it was The CPT and Chappers. I love listening to Pete too. Such a great player. All the guys at Andertons seem like they’d be a hoot to hang out with and pound a few beers. Thanks for the great videos!
Lee, you've really been working hard and I appreciate all the info you've fed back to the UK. You've given me lots of ideas for new gear that will, of course, be bought from Andertons.
I was watching Rabea videos over the weekend was thinking that he should have a signature guitar. This is so cool! And to land with Ernie Ball is really something. Kudos to him, and I look forward to trying one out should I get the chance.
While I came to see Rabea, it was pretty impressive to see Ernie Ball Musicman offer such an incredibly broad amount of standard guitars in one instrument. That may be the most realistically versatile bunch of tones in one axe I can ever remember hearing. Props to the design and electronics teams.
I have Cobalt flatwounds on my Cutlass guitar. They are VERY cool. Wound strings are super smooth feeling but sounds pretty much like standard roundwounds.

If you've every worked at a trade show you'll know why. I've done many and you always come back deathly. No sleep, too many late nights, drinking, exhibition food... a toxic combo.
@@GrumpyOldGit60 You didn't mention the chaotic cacophony of background noise in several keys at once. That must send you a bit bonkers after a while too?
I’m so happy to see Bea getting the notoriety he so sorely deserves. Dude is a monster player, but he seems like such a genuinely cool guy. Would love to just hang out and talk gear with him for a few hours.
My first good bass was a Music Man StingRay that I got back in 2017 for my 18th birthday and it's still been one of my absolute favourite basses alongside my main Rickenbacker 4003S, I first got into them because of guys like Flea, John Deacon, Cliff Williams and Mark Hoppus and I play and record with my StingRay with my band when I need that sound and I still absolutely love the tones you get with them. I've also been a fan of their strings for a long time as well and those are the main ones I use with my guitars, which is either 9-42 and 10-46 (I've also experimented with 11-48 for downtuned stuff and 10-52, and I recently did the 8-38 which was interesting but those weren't on for long) and 50-105 on my basses and that's all I need
I use 9s and 10s depending on the guitar. Another option worth thinking about is the hybrid sets. Higher strings remain the same as a 9 set and the low strings are like 10s.
Guitars aside - @Lee, you've had that Explorer for some years now (remember commenting on when you first got it). It think there are aspects of guitar collecting that are similar to watches, and that one is just puuuuure class mate. Great coverage of Namm btw! cheers from CPH
Those pickups generate a very wide range of tones throughout the selector positions. Electronics on this signature model are perfect!!! Punchy lows clear through the middle bells (20:06) Tele ish with highs that do not put a WINCE on my ear's face!!!
Ill be honest, i used ernie ball strings in the early 70s, i switched to GHS 9-42 boomers on all my les pauls and strats and have never changed back because GHS is the best but i have played a music man hd 130 2 by 12 since 1976. great amp. its really just a souped up twin reverb which i have as well
I think this gets said on every video with Bea, but the only problem with his demos is that I know the man can make a trashcan, a 2x4 and some fishing line sing like a siren. I've never been so enticed by a signature model. The descriptions of the neck profile alone sound sick as hell
This is the only new guitar that I am wanting. One of the things I haven't heard yet is the specs of the guitar. Mostly what is the body wood? I know it has a maple top but is it Mahogany for the body?? What is the nut size? I know they say it's wider but to what? I seriously want to try and buy one..
This has been a great NAMM - massive thanks for all the brilliant coverage you’ve provided. Loving Bea’s Sabre. I’ve checked my balance, and I’ll confidently and eagerly anticipate the Sterling version 😅
Aristides is in the convo with EBMM for best paint work - they are both insane when it comes to the crazy sparkles and vibrant colors, but you're gonna pay for it!!
You should do a string video. Try and compare. Coated, gold plated, flat wound, strength when tuning etc. Sounds good to me. Us guitar players are a fickle bunch. Not just about guitars, but their strings also. I think it would be a long, but..... great video.
I love that Rabea made that decision. As great as Rob and Lee are ...thatd Ernie Ball Music Man company and those are high quality and High respected guitars. Im really gonna buy one if that neck isnt to chunky. Its beautiful
I think Bea's new artist model could really nail a gap in the market. It seems these days that all contemporary guitars have slim & "fast" necks. There are a lot of really cool guitars out there that I'd be put off, just because I find skinny necks a bit unsatisfying. His new ones look killer and obviously have a bit of girth!! 😊

A massive thank you to the whole Andertons team for bringing the namm show onto our monitors at home!!! Great seeing Rabea doing so well atm!
NAMM used to be insane pre COVID. Looks a tad emptier and calmer now.
So exciting to see Rabea's path go from Anderton's to now an Ernie Ball artist! Congratulations and thanks to Lee and the crew for being so awesome!
I feel hungover just listening to these guys! lol

Seriously cool guitar. classy and strong. Your gonna need more than 10 if any are to make it to that wall Lee :0)

100% Rabea just wake up and instantly went to the booth. lol
Don't know if it is the lens on the camera, the angle or my screen but that guitar looks like a ukulele on his lap.
NYXL for electric and D'Addario Flat tops for acoustic.
