- Hey Guys,
Here is another video of Pastor Andy reacting to music.

According to Zacky Vengeance in the "Making of 'Afterlife'" video, the song is about a man who dies early and finds himself in heaven. Upon entering, he realizes that he has too many things to do on Earth and to go back and make it right, he must escape from the afterlife. meaning to afterlife
I can see both wanting too headbang and holding back. Lol it's obvious same for the pastor
Wikipedia😉
Dennis Trusty it's like all dogs go to heaven but for people
dude drop the mic lol you nailed it
Was that not kinda obvious from the lyrics? Not being a dick , just asking.
Its refreshing to see a pastor with such an open mind.
Corey Smith I agree, he's pretty cool. I definitely like him, he just seems like a genuinely good guy.
As I Christian, I feel those people of faith with closed minds that do not wish to analyze anything are a very poor representation of what we should be.
I just watched another channel who had a pastor on the channel JOLLY watch Ariana Grande's "God is a Woman" and he was also open minded and was a good watch, I recommend. Need more pastors like this. I'm not religious at all but I do like learning and I can respect religion for getting people through life. Just can't stand the pushers.
Fellow Christian here! I loved this reaction! I love how deep avenged get with their lyrics and so many of their songs blow my mind, especially on their newest album. This is why I love avenged so much.
Jess Kinley I feel the same way! Thanks for watching . If you have suggestions let us know!
Ooh maybe creating god, a little piece of heaven would be a really interesting one to see!
Same reason I this band. Well put.
I can’t find much meaning in their newest album. Kind of a let down for me. With all of their songs I find religious messages with exception to The Stage. So I would like to hear what you have to say about it
@@jacobbaker726 Same here...huge fan of their earlier work but the Stage is pretty meh.
The Rev did write this song after a near-death experience
lmao
Not that i don’t believe you but do you have a source for this claim?
No he didn't. Shadows wrote this.
The Revealer yo can watch the official making of afterlife it says the Rev wrote the whole thing.
Brompton Cocktail I think
It’s nice that you read the comments and try to take things into consideration but
Like everyone else is saying, you can still talk, just pause the video
It’ll make for better entertainment
Defenitly listen to Fiction by Avenged Sevenfold, it was their drummers (Jimmy Sulliven's) sort of death note and it's an incredible song
thought that brompton cocktail
Daniel Bippes bronpron cocktail wasn’t he’s death note and final goodbye, it was more about his struggle
UnKnown Gamez it was the LAST song Jimmy did, and after they finished Fiction, he told the other guys that he didn't think he had much left in him. So this claim is 100% correct, Matt told us this at a show i went to.
@@jennifersmith5345 it was only Jimmy's demo vocals too on fiction
Brompton cocktail was written years before the Rev died by M Shadows
they didn't mean don't talk at all, lol.
They have no idea how to make a react video lmao
yeah I dont think anyone would mind if he paused the video and got his thoughts out instead of speaking over it or waiting till the end
man iPreferChicken i just saw you in the last video hip hop fan reacts to afterlife
Just pause the vid and talk midway trought the song you know. When you want to talk just pause. get you idea out and then restart it. Also their drumme had an heart disease that was certain to kill him someday. and they knew it.

Funny how interpretations can be so many different ways from each person's point of view. I always heard in this song a person walking away from a relationship not due to trauma or damage in the relationship, but just not being ready to be "tied down" or "trapped"
I'm an athiest but find myself watching yalls reactions. You both seem really down to earth and understanding
Sheri M I find a majority of Christians and pastors are like that.
Ryan Austin Eh... I've seeked out pastor and youth ministers in my past to ask the questions I had that led me to my lack of belief and honestly they aren't as open minded or seemingly caring like these guys. They just brushed me aside with a "just gotta have faith. Run along now kiddo" attitude toward me
Sheri M there will be those people too hahaha, always are. I've had pretty good experience, and some like yours too. It all depends on views ig. Different pastors have different views ye know. But this guy, I really like him too. He just seems like a good person (without the religiousness taken into account)
Wait til you see my “y’all shirt”😀
BigKat TV lol My Texan comes out in the oddest ways.
A suggestion: whenever you have thoughts or opinions about the song, it would be best to pause the video and discuss your views. Don’t stay silent the whole song haha we viewers still care about what you have to say. And that way you don’t forget some lyrics if you wait till the end to discuss. Good reaction!
Aaayyyyeeee wassup fellow falcons fan🤘 haven't seen any of those in a while. #riseup
Request Sum Funky Shiii rise up homie!
I'd love to see your thoughts on So Far Away and Nightmare
Save Me is in the same vein as So Far Away, but better . The message is still how do we deal with The Rev’s death, but it is more intense musically, plus, at nearly 11 minutes, it is just more of a good thing.
You should pause it at certain points like after the first chorus and after the solo to chat :)
If he wants to know what Avenged Sevenfold meant with this song then you should watch the "Making of Afterlife"
you've gotta react to Fiction by Avenged, the song was written just a few days before the drummer's death (The Rev).
Yeah..I guess it's not only the song..I think he wrote even the drum, piano, etc notes too
Actually, finished three days before his death. He had to know it was coming. But I am happy that with Fiction, he showed by example what he talked about in Afterlife. He seized the day. He didbl ‘t wait to say goodbye to his friends. He left them with a beautiful musical goodbye and with a song that showed the faith he had that they would survive his death.
I think it's definitely about someone who dies too soon and definitely wants to go to Heaven but isn't ready to leave their life here behind. I completely understand that feeling.
Or better yet someone who is stuck in a coma like state while dreaming up a false reality with spiritual entities being the main cast to the deception of the imagination. Especially when you fall in love with one of these entities and start to cross paths into their multi-dimensional world.
For me this is what gives this song meaning to me, as well as being haunted by spirits I like to listen to Bat Country, for example “No oasis here to see, the ‘sand’ ( material world ) is singing deathly words to me “ “Mental fiction follows me, show me what it’s like to be set free” “Take a trip with me, but don’t be surprised when things aren’t what they seem”. All relating to the devil’s abilities to haunt you in reality ( waking life ) through momentary illusions and deceptions, like the illusions that the middle Eastern’s used to have when walking through the desert in starvation and or thirst and see a fake illusory ‘Oasis’ ( more than likely created by demons poking fun at you while on the way to dying ).
For a good reference play the Evil Within game, and how the main character is stuck in this odd astral like planes of reality and keeps waking up in a certain place, every time the character wakes up. Or the Lighthouse movie and how Robert Pattinson goes mad.
Y'all should do beast and harlot. Half the lyrics straight out the bible
michael norman did you find it? We did it😀
You should listen Brompton cocktail by Avenged Sevenfold.
Also, great way to analyze this song.
They are my favorite band on a very personal level. I've always been afraid of death whether it be losing a loved one just facing my own death. When I listen to them, they make me feel like it's ok, it's ok to pass on, like, when my time comes or if any of my loved ones time comes, it may not be a bad thing. This band is the very last thing I want to hear on my dying day.
LOVE A7X!!!!!WOOOO!!!!😎
The way I interpreted this is that being with this girl is heaven, but he's not personally ready to be the man he wants to be for himself and his significant other, so he escapes the after life until he is ready for her
Avenged sevenfold- so far away.... based on a real experience and please listen if you haven’t
If someone did have the experience it probably would've been "The Rev" cause he was the one who really wrote the song and stuff. You would have to ask him be he took his own life years ago
He didn't take his own life, he died of an accidental prescription drug overdose/interaction. Don't spread things if you don't know the facts, it's rude.
No, that idea was discredited. There was never a finding of suicide. If you suffer from a bothersome malady like he did, sometimes, you take one medication, then maybe try another to get relief. I suffer from chronic bronchitis and I’ve wondered how close I have come to death, at times, because of the combination and amount of things I took just to relieve my symptoms. That is what, officially, the coroner believes caused his death, an unintentional reaction of medicines taken to telieve his symptoms.
that solo always gets me!
They have a song called "dear god" that he wrote for his wife that is really good!
React to God Hates Us Avenged Sevenfold but on live version where Matt is talking in begining of the song.
God bless you.
Marko Slash The "we probably shouldn't be playing this on Sunday" one? Lol
Thats the best one lol
You guys are awesome! I’m a Christian but have fallen from my faith so far. I need to get back to the basics. But I don’t have the drive to. I really don’t know how too... I need help
Thanks for this... I might even go to church this morning!
You are welcome. Keep seeking, asking and knocking!
Im trying... but I don’t know where the door is
@@justinloser3346 If you still need help, always you can count on ur fellow christians around you that will help you, but THE MOST IMPORTANT thing is pray and talk to Jesus, get close to God.
You can read your bible or hear it audibook. Listen to services, christian podcasts that possibly will talk about topics thar you probably have questions. I think will be helpful to follow christian accounts and posting pages of really helpful messages about God. It will help a lot. Believe it, God can talk throughout social media too.
Hopefully you are doing great! Hoping that you are still in the path 🤩🤩🤩🙏🙏
Hearing the Revs voice always brings a tear to my eye knowing that his voice will never be heard again not in a song he will never say hello to friends and family. Rest In Peace jimmy
The explanation for the song is using the near death experience turned on it’s head, so to speak, as a metaphor for warning others to do the things you need to do in life (Good deeds) while you still can. After all, the lyrics state that those he is with in Heaven tell him he may as well stay, as he will be back in Heaven, soon, anyway. So, obviously, his current life will not keep him out of Heaven. But there may be things the protagonist still wants to do, wrongs he wants to right, or things he wants to straighten out. The message is, do those things while you can, for, once you leave this earthly plane for good, there is no turning back. Carpe Diem, in other words.
dunnnooo who these guys are. just stopped to hear the song haha
"Arrived too early" - every man has experienced this
This song fits directly into the conception of the afterlife of the early church. This is about entering into the presence of God unprepared - that the love of God is the very fires of hell.
feel free to talk whenever you like, your coments about the song is what makes your reactions different from others
React to Fiction if you can and Almost Easy
My only problem is that zero focus is on the music it's self. When it comes to rock and metal that's arguably more important to the song than the lyrics and sets the stage for the story being told.
Their first album was entitled Sounding of the 7 Trumpets, they are heavily bibled based besides their early screaming type of music the lyrics were always dissectible with biblical verses/stories
Give the people what the want!! Shepherd Of Fire!!
React danger line please c:
I feel like there’s three ways to interpret it.
Album flow: it fits the narrative of the album of fame and Hollywood not being all its chalked up to be and his girlfriend seeing the negative change in him (see the river by Good Charlotte
Video: M. Shadows said it best, in its literal interpretation it’s a story of a man finding himself in heaven
Here say: the rev is credited for penning this one and is about someone about to commit suicide but is interrupted by a vision of a heaven and knows he’s making a mistake taking his life
I'm not sure of anyone has mentioned it, most people aren't aware of what the song's content is truly about. But listen to 'Chapter Four' by Avenged Sevenfold. It's about Kane and Able. It's from their album Waking The Fallen. Nearly the entire album is spiritual in a sense. Good stuff.
afterlife is just a metaphor, in my opinion. Something that you might think of being heaven or something like that. It does not necessarily mean that someone actually came back from the dead and wrote this song XD
But such an experience is used as a comparison to what one should do in life. Do the things you need to do while you can, because, when you’re there for good, you can’t revisit the deeds you wanted to accomplish.
Avenged Sevenfold has always had religious ties, even if they try to break from it. Their name alone is from Genesis Chapter Four. Their late drummer, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan drew from Biblical inspiration numerous times while writing songs. Though their take is more “doom and gloom,” (Revelation) if you listen carefully, you can hear the moral lessons. “Nightmare” is the epitome of a “don’t be a bad person,” wake up call to what will happen to your soul.
Please listen to “Nightmare.” There is language that is honestly used as a filler, but the moral lesson is STRONG!
Listen to So fat away! It's a tribute to A7x former drummer (the Rev)
The High pug did it but it got pulled for copyright
Avenged Sevenfold is awesome and this song rocks.
Probably my favourite AX7 song. Amazing lyrics and music composition......that guitar solo!!!!!
And that bassline...WOW
I did an essay on the lyrics of this song. I got the highest grade in the class because I’m passionate of metal
That is awesome! Still have it?
Maybe it was all online so I might have it still
I love Avenged Sevenfold!! Got to see them last year for my birthday with Metallica 🤘🤘🤘
Hail to the king
I liked your commentary on After Forever by Black Sabbath and others, don’t worry about the negative people. There’s a plethora of reaction channels, do it how you’d like to. Good stuff! Also.. My own Prison by Creed.
"you told me they wouldn't mind" ..."I was wrong" lol
I always thought Afterlife was about a seemingly perfect relationship that he wasn't ready for
You can think that if you don’t look at the lyrics closely, but if youdo. There is no doubt that, either he was in Heaven, but felt he needed to go back and fix a few things or, this is a different take on a near death experience, using said take as an example to do what you need to in life now and don’t put it off, because we aren’t promised tomorrow.
I love their take on the military. Check out Gunslinger and Danger Line as examples of what I mean.
God Bless :)
Subbed!
That skull is just another form of a dove
Just came across y'alls channel. I was wondering if y'all can react to some Sabaton songs. I think the Pastor will like The Last Stand. Its about 189 Swiss Guards protecting the Pope from a force of 20000 mercenaries storming the Vatican City in 1527.
Cameron Douglas k y’all
Chapter 4 their song is about Cain and Abel it is such an amazing song
Yes it is referencing Genesis Ch 4 lol
they're stiff. this song is my jam. the melody just make me move and shake head. 90s baby!
Anyone but me that laughed when they saw that the video-compreshion actually made the video stop several places vecause they didn't move enough?
Lol it's so awkward seeing people listen to metal like this and not headbanging! XD
Dudes dead as f*ck and stuck in heaven but wants to return to earth to finish his unfinished business. I’ve been dead once for 4 min had the whole near death experience and was sent back by the lady I came into contact with after she showed me somethings and told me it wasn’t my time yet. I love this song cause I can relate to every word of it
Anyone else feel the need to vocalize the guitar before the words start 😂😂😂
On the topic of near death experiences i have had one and went to heaven but just it felt wrong because it didnt feel like i was supposed to be there yet like the one lyric said "i dont belong here" and i did want to head back to earth because i was missing all my loved ones here also i wanna have pastor andy as a pastor cause hes one of the only pastors i do not roll my eyes at when he speaks of god
I’m offended. Beast and the harlot is an amazing song
Very interesting perspective Pastor. As Dennis Trusty mentioned. The band member Zacky Vengeance (Rhythm guitar/backing vocals) Describes what the song Afterlife is about. Makes one think about all the people who die at a young age that want to escape the afterlife and have a shot at finishing undone deeds.
Here's that video
ua-cam.com/video/kOwn23_L1ZA/v-deo.html
I don't belong here, I've got to move on dear, escape from this Afterlife..........all you need to know
Avenged sevenfold nightmare
I'd like to see you react and give your thoughts on The Stage.
I'm a new subscriber
you should review Avenged Sevenfolds Sheperd of Fire
React to So far away by Avenged Sevenfold
Well, i have to suggest this: Marilyn Manson - the fight song
I might as well of listened to the song on its own this is not a reaction wtf
IAmAdictiveX ouch!
Never talk through Synster Gate,, he is a great musician!
Your truly missing out if you never listen to avenged sevenfold
And also search up the lyrics video after before doing a full reaction so you can understand what they are saying
Please please turn on their first album for the preacher. Give him the real avenged sevenfold. SOUNDING OF THE SEVENTH TRUMPET. My favorite CD by far but extremely evil haha
They copyright all that stuff...☹️
I can't help headbanging on Syn's solos.
Hey BigKat TV I wanted to ask if you could listen to a song by a band called Motionless In White, now before I give you the song I wanted to fill you in on what kind of band they are. They’re a heavy scremo metal band that makes a lot of amazing songs despite the screaming sounding demonic (in a matter of sense) but they have a aggressive view on this song, read the description for it before watching it, the lead singer Chris Motionless leaves a message to people and I want you to read it before listening to the song because I don’t want you to feel like he’s doing something bad. The song is called Immaculate Misconception. The song is over all based on people who abuse the religion they believe in and say “God would want you to do this instead of this” stuff like that and everything. I really hope that if you ever decide to give it a shot that you don’t think I’m asking you to listen to this because it feels like it’s attacking a religion or all religions, I ask you to listen to it because you seem like a very open minded person and I want to see how you perceive that song. Anyways, if you read this, thanks for taking the time to read it and hope you have a great day or night, etc., whenever you read this comment. And keep up the great reactions to all these bands you’ve been reacting to, they all have made a few songs that I have listened to like Ashes of Eden and Evil Angel by Breaking Benjamin and a couple more by other bands.
You should hear almost easy
Lmao I’ve never seen anyone keep a straight face during that solo.
Oh this is a real pastor o.0 oof what I guess I thought it was just alias
Some of the on screen lyrics were missing... 👀
Have him listen to God Hates Us and A Little Piece Of Heaven, I’m genuinely curious about your opinions.
Yeah... it's a person taken too early and goes to the afterlife but realizes he has some unfinished business.
Yesss!!! Please react to Dead Flowers and Last One Alive by Demon Hunter the Christian rock band! Also check out Not Ready To Die by Demon Hunter!
Hah. Listen to the stage album. Its a conceptual album about the human condition.
Definitely do so far away by avenge sevenfold
Definitely want to see the pastor listen to some demon hunter, specifically Jesus wept, but some other ones would be cool too.
Y’all should do some reviews on some Nothing More Season songs
Kill or Be Killed-Spite because I think it would be funny.
I believe A Question Of Heaven by Iced Earth would be perfect to react to
Pastor lost all credibility with the beast and the harlot comment. That song is verbatim sections of revelations, try again padre
he stated he didn't understand revelations is why..
Please do a video on nightmare
I’m pretty sure this song was made for their drummer Rev !! That overdosed and died . Guess maybe should do a little background stuff first before trying to analyze a song .
2crazy2behere The Purger No. this one was released well before the Revs death.
This was released way before but I do agree they need to research the songs and band's first.
How about reacting to Chapter Four from Avenged Sevenfold?
We did😀
BigKat TV I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the reply!
You should do 10000 wings + wings for marie from Tool
can you do "to end the rapture" ?
Please react to a7x fiction please
Did you get the webcam at the thrift store?
I want to see what he has to say about one voice by for today.
You mean yin yang twins 👯
