Minor correction: the Rubik's void cube does not have a core. The edges hook directly into the corners - you can pop the outer part of the edge with a flat screwdriver and see the mechanism.

The reason why I like cubes of Rubiks brand, and have quite a few of them:
After doing a few solves on Rubik's Cube(s), when you do solves on your main speedcube(s), you feel extremely satisfied and happy.
Also, the tiles are a really unique design.

What I like about the void cube is that it can have a parity error even though its a 3×3. It's a cool concept and helps you understand mathematically what actually happens in the parity errors.

3:11 - for your response, I'm French, and even though you're right that you can't translate a pun, they did find one.
on the english part, for some reason, the pun word is "new" and not "hole", but in french, it's the "hole" part that is highlighted in green.
it's meant to say "Un < tout > nouveau défi" which means "a whole new challenge", and they switched < tout > with < trou > which means "hole".

Yes, the inscription in French makes sense😂 and here's why:
It says "Un "trou" nouveau défi" and it translates to "A whole new challenge"
The word game is similar to the "hole" and "whole" in English, cause in French there's the word "trou" which corresponds to "hole" and "Tout" that corresponds to "whole". "Tout" is not written but just as we imagine "whole" by reading "hole", we imagine "Tout" by reading "trou".
So yeah, a nice little word game🙃

Hi ! writing from France, and actualy, "un "trou" nouveau défi" is a quite accurate translation, even with the play-on-word a "hole" new challenge.
to be specific, "a whole new challenge" translated in french is : "un tout nouveau défi", so you got "trou" meaning "hole" taking place of 'tout" meaning "whole". nicely done.

I got the Rubik's 4x4 about 3 years ago during my first time playing with cubes (now is the second time, after three years of break) and this reminded me just how scammed I felt when I got an OfFiCiaL 4x4 from a local store. I since have trust issues in the Rubik's brand, but O didn't buy online back then. I mean imagine being THE brand that the whole invention is named after (I mean I know they're both named after the inventor but you get the point) and the only brand to be found in your average physical stores and you literally can't turn some of the sides sometimes and have to go opposite direction 3 times. That's what being scammed feels like.

A video entirely on the explanation of parity on different cubes would be really interesting! Maybe you could start a series on the mathematics of Rubik's Cubes, like why edges and corners can only have an even number of swaps and flipped edges (unless parity but there would still be an even number of swaps in total) among other things.

3:13 The French translation can make sense because "a new rubik's cube" in French is " un tout nouveau rubik's cube" and "hole" in French is "trou" and "new" "tout nouveau"(sometimes we don't need the "tout" because "tout nouveau" is for something that was just released.) And "trou" and "tout" are almost similar.
Sorry for my bad English if it was bad.

In the first iteration (un trou nouveau défi), the word “trou”(french for hole) actually resembles the word “tout” (french for “whole”, or “all”). “Sacré”, however, litteraly means holy (so no word play). Holy is used in french as a hyperbolic adjective, so you could say they pulled it off.
