hi bethany! i just wanted to say thank you for helping me develop my style so much. im 5’0 tall and 20 years old, so i’m constantly being told i look like a teenager.
now that i’m doing my masters degree, i think dressing more stylishly and mature (as well as wearing clothes that fit well) has helped me be taken more seriously. i’m still not able to afford anything but thrifted clothes, but at least now i know how to put outfits together. lots of love from california 😘

Again, great advice. I am a mature woman who recently retired and followed my long time dream of living in Italy. I dress for comfort, but always try to incorporate a cohesive look. I vowed to not “let myself go”! Even when I walk the dog every morning, “I get myself together”. Why? Because it’s great for my self esteem, confidence, and happiness. I was a professional nurse who wore scrubs for 20 years in the ICU. Later I moved into administrative positions and got to play with fashion. But now, I’m my own boss, and having a great time traveling and dressing for myself and the occasion. I recently purchased a Louis Vuitton bag and a Versace blouse at a second hand store. Great prices, but it’s not about the label. The blouse has beautiful detailing and the bag is very practical. The point being, your advice is very timely and presented concisely. I too am petite and I’m in search of a tailor in my village. Good tailoring will give my clothes longevity and keep me from looking like a child wearing my mother’s clothes.

I got a couple pairs of earrings from mejuri last year after watching one of your videos. Including a pair of mini hoops, and they are my everyday earrings. Because they are solid gold with an integrated clasp, I can sleep, workout, and shower in them and don’t even think about them except on the rare occasion that I want to wear something else for a special occasion. Excellent video as always!

Hi Bethany! Can you talk about the steamer a little more in-depth in a next video? Like, does to substitute ironing? Can you use it with all your clothes? Is it faster than ironing? And so on... I hate ironing! Although I don't need to iron as much as I used to, I still have a few pieces that needs it. And that's why I only have a few pieces. I love blouses but don't wear them as much and one reason is because of the ironing. A steamer would be a great investment. Which brand do you have?

Bethany, I am Beyond Grateful that you are so thoughtful and show an accurate and deep understanding of fashion and design! About 5 months ago ( and with my 30th birthday approaching) I stumbled upon your channel after a hard look at the style I've acquired throughout the years, and my wardrobe. I was half filled with contempt, a quarter filled with content and a quarter filled with serious confusion upon my wardrobe assessment... In summary I was sort of feeling hopeless.
I've managed to acquire a few really solid pieces throughtout the years but I've always felt stuck in the style I've (somehow) gravitated toward.
At the time I discovered you I had a firm desire to "reinvent" my personal style but Zero direction!
Your demenour, transparency and candor (as well as chic style) has truly helped me develope intention when I choose clothing, shoes and jewelry.

That gutted feeling when I realize I donated a replica of that lovely collared blouse. Purging closets is risky!
I know that feeling... What I tend to do these days is declutter it from my wardrobe what I don't think I'll wear but hide it somewhere to review few months later. There were some things I took back but most times I don't miss it & give away. Very occasionally I think about those donated items again 1-2 years later, but I know it is good to move on, because you're not that same person anymore.
But did you wear it a lot? That’s the important thing.
