Hi everyone! I hope this video is super helpful. I linked everything I talk about in the video description. Again, these are the things that work best for me. We all have different bodies and preferences so if you have any tips of your own, feel free to leave them in the comments here. We can all help each other :).
Dearly Bethany when is it okay to wear a white bra? I recently bought a Lacey white bra but I’m not sure when to wear it. It shows through lighter tops but I’m worried to wear it under dark clothes due to color transfer you mentioned.
Girls, regarding to bra sizes - as a brafitter (10 years practice) try on smaller band and bigger cup (one or more sizes) as you buy usually - especially if you are pettite and your breast are not that pettite. For example try on 32 D/32DD instead 34B. We usually wear to loose band and too small cups. And one more thing that's not everyone know 34B has the same cup size/depth as 32C only different band size (34B=36A, 36B=34C=32D in cup size ) I hope it's helpfull. Sorry for my English - it's not my first language ;) PS: please read comments bellow, there are some more information.
So, if I understand, 36A cup size is same as 34B? How about the band size? Because I experience 34 to be slightly small (it creates the bumpy line right behind my arm area) so I wear 36A. I only ever found one bra that fits me well, by Natori, and they no longer make that one. 😔 (I need bras that have more space in between the cups; that’s another reason I buy 36!) Thanks for your advice about size equivalence!
@@666mooncat yes, pettite girls are more likely 32 band or 30 or less (28 is Holy Grail, it's hard to find) if they have slim figure.. It's all about measuring. You should try different sizes of the same one bra model. Until you find perfect fitting.
BRA SIZE TIPS: Not everyone can get to a bra fitter so as someone who has worked fitting bras :) here are two tips! 1. If you're back strap is riding up, so not horizontal if you look at yourself from the side in the mirror, this means that it is too big around the back (you should be able to fit 2 fingers between your skin and the back strap, if you can fit more it's too big so go down in band size). Most of the support of your bra should come from around your ribs, not your shoulders, we are just supporting your breasts where they should be. 2. When you take your bra off, if you're finding that your bra is leaving cup marks below your breasts on your torso/stomach so there is a gap between your actual breast and the mark, this means that your bra cup size is too small, so go up in cup size.
I'm uncomfortable in thongs but I love skinny jeans. That means that most of the underwear I own will give me a pantie line. So, a year ago I figured out that wearing longer boyshort short underwear doesn't have a pantie line and it still makes me feel comfortable.
This might be a year too late but there are comfortable thongs out there. Try La Senza seamless ones, or Under Armour. The lacy ones are the uncomfortable ones. Thongs don’t ride up when wearing skinny jeans so you don’t have to rearrange them to not get a panty line after you have your jeans on.
i wear mostly nippies as well during the spring and summer as well so i don't have to worry about straps. then i wear strapless nude or black bras during the fall and winter under long sleeves. i hate anything padded so i usually wear lightly lined or bralettes. they are just more comfortable and look better under my shirts. since im african american it's hard to find nude bras in my skin tone that are affordable for me as a student. so i bought mine at target or aerie and some are seamless and they usually have matching seamless panties as well.
Something that I’d recommend in the summer is wearing a bikini underneath. As a surfy girl myself I never know when I’ll be hitting the water so it’s very convenient with a casual outfit. The strings can also be quite sexy if you’re wearing a more conservative outfit and they’re poking out.
Really helpful video Bethany! I wouldn't recommend Victoria's Secret for fittings, the staff usually aren't properly trained and they are taught to give you a size that they sell, regardless of your actual size. I would go to a department store or something to get a proper fitting.
@@MaxTheCorgs I've experienced this at VS. I even let the sales associate know I was wearing a push up bra and she said that it didn't matter. I have a small chest and I usually wear 34 B she measured me for a 34 D.
Thank you for this lovely video :) As a petite girl with an apple-ish hourglass shape who likes to wear boxy tops, I try and minimize my bust as much as possible because that suits my fashion style much better. Unlined bras changed my life in this regard! Also, as someone who exclusively wears high-waisted bottoms, high-waisted underwear totally changed the way I feel about my body and I absolutely swear by them. I find that a longline bra also helps to avoid visible bra lines and helps me feel more comfortable in tighter tops.
I have ordered from Bare Necessities for years. I love the Le Mystere Dream Tisha T-Shirt Bra because I like the full coverage, but on the weekend I wear a thinner bra with nippies. I like what you said about adding bulk to an already bulky sweater or shirt. I had not thought about that. Thanks for all the recommendations!
I was suprised to hear you mention Intimissimi, I didn’t know they also sold in the U.S. I only wear their non-padded lace bras, it’s pretty much like wearing nothing. Same goes for their slip dresses, they’re a dream to sleep in :) thanks for this video! X
As I was watching this video, I did my laundry. And right when Bethany brought up accidentally dyeing her bra purple, I pulled out a white shirt to fold...I'd accidentally dyed it lavender lol. Never mix new dark clothes with whites.
I'm at 34DDD and there is NO WAY I can even go down three steps without a bra on (or holding my breast for dear god). I found that department stores (Hudson's Bay here in Canada is my fave) are usually the best places to get a proper fitting and bras that fit you and look good under more delicate tops. Nippies are a no-no for someone who is heavy-chested although they sound glorious
Frédérique LD Try Fig Leaves...they are my go-to for smaller bands with larger cups. And yes, nippies do sound glorious...the itty bitty titty persons don’t know how lucky they are!
Loved this. And I would also recommend spanx for briefs as well as shapers. They are the best I’ve found for avoiding VPL. Thanks for sharing all these recommendations!
Seamless underwear is my go to when I don't want visible panty lines. It's so comfortable you even forget you're wearing anything. It's like a second skin.
I have quite similar bodytype to Bethany just a bit thiner. Most of the bras used to really hurt me, after 2 hours of wearing it back pain would be killing me. I though maybe if the bras were softer, thinner or just very light not too tight bralets it would help. It didn't . Then I was recommended bra by a lady in a local brashop. it was quite different from what I used to wear. Lightly padded but structured with wide shoulder straps and very wide band around body. The closure was wide as well with 3 hooks instead of the usual two. And voila, back pain was gone. It fit very snug and was quite stiff but it didn't hurt my back at all. Those lacy bralets that weigh nothing can hurt like hell. Some bodies even with smaller breasts need real support.
I haven't tried many brands but I'm in loved with Calvin Klein underwear. I have tried some models similar to sport bras but comfier and everyday and a bra that doesn't have a wire or cups it's the most comfortable thing and also really flattering. I used to like cups and push up bras but now I'm all about comfort and embracing my true size : ) I have black, nude, white and gray.
I live in Florida and due to the heat, Nippies are a must! No more getting home and throwing off my super uncomfortable bra. Also, I tend to not wear underwear if I can help it. I saw from another You Tuber that it's good for the health down there and honestly she couldn't have been more correct. It's a little weird at first but when you get used to it then it's a total game changer!!
When you tuck your shirts in, how do you avoid them bunching up and making your sides look larger?? I’ve been binge watching your videos the last few days and I’m obsessed! ❤️❤️ So inspired to start caring about my clothing
Thank you, this was really interesting. But, Victoria Secrets isnt a good brand anymore. They rearly have D's and bigger cups in the shops and the quality is aweful.
Yeah, I agree with the quality. I was not talking about buying VS. I was talking about fittings and if you need to find a place to get measured for your size... that or your tailor can measure you but there have been some great recommendations for where to get fitted in the comments here.
Ah I got nippies last year based on your recommendation! I mostly live in bralettes and lounge bras, so I needed something for occasion wear and certain tops. They’ve worked out great!
OMG! Beth... You just nailed it! And I realised how much of an ignorant person I have been when it was about intimate wares. If possible can you show the different effects the intimate wares have when actually put on, like over a white, black tops, sheer, non sheer like stuff. Please?
I love that you made a video for this topic! I have a lot of built up anger towards bras and underwear in general. Being a student means being frugal, and when I see the price of bras my jaw drops. I find it difficult to find a long-lasting, comfortable bra that does not stretch and ball up, while not paying a fortune. My other issue is finding bralettes. My experience with them has not been great, as they seem to stretch after only a handful of wears.
For ladies that may be short and not necessarily so petite, I have trouble with straps always sliding down even though they may be tight on my shoulders. I am guessing that the bra may be too wide across the front? So that the straps connect practically under my arm puts in a typical bra. I'm 4'11" but am a 38C to 38D depending on brand. While they don't work with a lot of shirts, I have switched to racer back with front closures. It keeps everything front and center but no tight straps sliding down my shoulders and then digging deep into my arms when I try to move. Anyone have suggestions for this kind of scenario but not a racer back that shows when wearing most shirts?
Thank you for making this video. I love your videos and was waiting for this topic for a long time, especially when it comes to bras for a low cut V necklines that a lot of your outfits feature. Very nicely done, thanks again :)
This is a great video and discussion to have open! I honestly love to wear only nude or black bras the older I get. I have not worn any white bras for a very long time now, so I don't even bother buying them anymore. I do need to check out these nipples because I don't like straps showing in the summer months and I just never bothered to buy them, but you have kind of influenced me to try them. Thanks so much! xoxo
I switched from 36B to 32DD after getting fitted at Dillards (Nordstrom does this too). This band size is hard to find in stores, unfortunately! Wacoal makes bras in my size, they are comfortable, pretty, and last for years.
Hi Bethany, firstly, thank you for sharing so much info from your own experiences. You are doing a great job. Wanted to know if you can share something regarding sport bras.
Thank you very much Bethany!I had asked you on Instagram about what type of bra you are using with deep V neck blouses. I am so glad that you have made a whole video! Kisses from Greece! 😀
Red underwear actually disappears under white clothing. I don't know what magic is involved but it works almost always, unless the shirt is extremely sheer.
If your bra stretches out or the straps do, just take scissors and some thread and needle cut it and shorten it, it's really not difficult (if you own a sewing machine it will be even easier) even if you're not skilled in sewing it will look alright, I promise, and it will allow you to wear your bra for a lot longer :)
I really like the brand Natori! It's more on the expensive side but it's worth the investment because it's way more comfortable than VS bras. Those suck!
Thank you for sharing your suggestions on this topic! I have yet to find a brand that I love, and I look forward to focusing more on this important part of my wardrobe.
Really interesting video! I love your voice, so calming and soothing.. love just to listen to your videos :) btw have not worn a bra for almost 3 years , just occasionally some lace bras and that is.. pure freedom! :))
Could I propose a challenge to you? Could you put together a wearable eye make up look WITHOUT using any black? No black eyeliner / no black mascara / and no black eye shadow! 😉 Some alternatives could be rich browns or purples for mascara, rich peacock colors for eyeliner and rich earthy browns or gold for eyeshadow, or rich purples or wheat colors. :) are you up for the challenge? I can't wait for the results if you do decide to take my challange 😆 this will be thrilling! You're amazing and have quickly become my top youtuber! And I just discovered you yesterday!😉 I wasn't kidding about how quickly! Keep up your awesome efforts :) so happy to have found your UA-cam 😊 peace 💖
Desparately needs help. I got a silk low back gown. The gown shows every line. I tried different panties but doesn't work. And decided to braless but can't pantyless.
This video is Tailored made for me. 🙏 You are so funny Beth.. i laughed throughout the video. Please make more videos like this and if possible put a picture on display.. that would specifically help alot. Or not.. Your wish ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Thanks for the Video! There are different spanx... so which one would go best with pants and dresses? Guess I'm doing something wrong... I always feel uncomfortable with spanx, they're so tight and it feels like I'm only wearing spanx and nothing else (if that makes sense). And I can see the lines of the spanx when wearing pants or especially tight dresses. What would help? :(
Such a helpful video, thank you so much!! I’ve been searching for a strapless bra, I’m ordering nippies! I’m so excited. Which spanx do you recommend for under slacks and skirts?
Hi. What would you wear with a light white linnen pant, when even beige underwear is seen through them? I really need some help with this, cause I love the pants, but never feel comfortable enough to wear them. :) xx
Love this ❤ Have you ever tried petite bras? I recently found out that they exist, but I've never heard anyone talk about them (good, bad, or otherwise).
WHITE SHIRT BRA TIP: I have found that red or pink work to hide a bra under a white shirt for me (I have a caramel skin tone). The deeper and darker your skin tone, the more red-purple will work under a white shirt. I found that a cherry red/pink bra does not show through when I wear a thin white tshirt. If you're lighter, try a light pink as opposed to a white bra, and if you're darker than me try a purple bra.
Love your channel! I’ve been searching for a good fashion channel made by someone with a body type really similar to mine so thanks for making vids for the short girls out there
I cannot wear nippies.I wish. But I'm a 30-32H and I've only found one comfortable brand (Primadonna) and their bras are upwards of 200 bucks. Change also have some cheaper bras in a large range of sizes for my bigger busted girls ❤️ This was a really helpful video though! Thank you for the panty line tips 👌🏼
This is a great video! I just bought the Siam Blouse from Sezane in Black & have no idea what to wear underneath. I was thinking of a nude bra, but was wondering what your recommendation is?
One of my favorite blouses ever. I wear either my nippies or if you are wanting to be extra spicy a black bra hehe. I have seen some people wearing black camis or wearing it under dresses. A nude bra didn't work for me.
VPL (visible panty lines) really ruin an outfit in my opinion. (Can’t unsee that- I get some love to flaunt that!) . There’s so much improvement on manufacturing technology. Jessica Simpson makes amazing laser cut panties that are so thin and very comfortable. You can find so many even at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx for a five pack.
I just love my small chest so so much. Daily, I wear the "belly tops" or baby bras that are more like cropped camisoles from the children section cus I hate normal bras and barely need them. I only have like 3 sports bras (the ones with the detachable pads) for when I'm wearing something tight or going out to protect myself from the cold. Otherwise, I don't need it. I can just sleep with the baby bras. I also have no back pains thanks to my small chest and can sleep on my chest (but I don't cus it feels weird), my small breasts won't sag if I get older and less chance of breast cancer. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
We have the same size. Shoes and bra but I hate bra so uncomfortable. I can do without bra cause my babies are small. I’m 4’11 ft. I wish I’m 5’3 or 4.
I remember the first time I heard you mention the nippies and they have been a life changer! I'm small chested so I don't really need support. But even more so for me, I have had a really hard time finding bras in which the band doesn't irritate the large scar I now have underneath my boobs. Nippies have been a godsend to wear- I'm still "covered," and I don't have to deal with irritate the sensitive scar. Who knew such a little thing could make life SO much more comfortable. Thank you!!

Please do a vdo about styling shrugs...as winter is coming
If your bra stretches out or the straps do, just take scissors and some thread and needle cut it and shorten it, it's really not difficult (if you own a sewing machine it will be even easier) even if you're not skilled in sewing it will look alright, I promise, and it will allow you to wear your bra for a lot longer :)
I really like the brand Natori! It's more on the expensive side but it's worth the investment because it's way more comfortable than VS bras. Those suck!
I got fitted at Imtimissimi and l have been sticking to them ever since. They just really know what’s up.
Thank you for sharing your suggestions on this topic! I have yet to find a brand that I love, and I look forward to focusing more on this important part of my wardrobe.
Thanks girl! This was a very informative and helpful video :)
Thanks Mandi! xx
I love your top but the link seems to be disabled. Could you please look into it?
Really interesting video! I love your voice, so calming and soothing.. love just to listen to your videos :) btw have not worn a bra for almost 3 years , just occasionally some lace bras and that is.. pure freedom! :))
Jockey Skimmies are a life saver. There is no panty line and they prevent chub rub under skirts and dresses.
Mam please make video on suitable outfits (colour) for black girls
It would be helpful if you left links to the brands you mention. Thanks.
Hi Bethany, please can you do a tutorial on how to film/take photos of yourself?
Zack does all the filming and photography for me :)
this was such a helpful video!! ❤️
Your laughter ✌️
Can u plz do a lingerie tips and recommendations , cause I thought I knew enough about bras and here I am amazed 😍❤️ thank you 🥺❤️
Could I propose a challenge to you? Could you put together a wearable eye make up look WITHOUT using any black? No black eyeliner / no black mascara / and no black eye shadow! 😉
Some alternatives could be rich browns or purples for mascara, rich peacock colors for eyeliner and rich earthy browns or gold for eyeshadow, or rich purples or wheat colors.
You look so elegant and classy and smart love it, love your hair 😍
Thanks Cynthia!
Love your videos. Please make video for hair lenght for petite
Desparately needs help. I got a silk low back gown. The gown shows every line. I tried different panties but doesn't work. And decided to braless but can't pantyless.
This video is Tailored made for me. 🙏
You are so funny Beth.. i laughed throughout the video. Please make more videos like this and if possible put a picture on display.. that would specifically help alot. Or not.. Your wish ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
This was helpful! I am on the market for new bras and underwear. Thank you Bethany :)

❤️would you like to support each other’s channels?❤️
gabriella s. Would love to😍❤️
Dearly Bethany looking forward for more from you😍 I also tried to listen on your podcast. Your voice is lovely 😊
Hi Bonnie! I linked the pair I have in the video description. :)
I wear more skirts but french knickers or pant slips are another option for panty lines
Hi. What would you wear with a light white linnen pant, when even beige underwear is seen through them? I really need some help with this, cause I love the pants, but never feel comfortable enough to wear them. :) xx
Do a video on nail care
When can you wear a white bra?
Love this ❤ Have you ever tried petite bras? I recently found out that they exist, but I've never heard anyone talk about them (good, bad, or otherwise).
I haven't but definitely want to give them a try. Thanks for the reminder!
I was always told to make sure bras fit on the middle book when trying on, just for weight fluctuations
Thank you Bethany, this is very helpful!
I’ve been searching for a good fashion channel made by someone with a body type really similar to mine so thanks for making vids for the short girls out there
Glad you're here, Maggie! xx
I cannot wear nippies.I wish. But I'm a 30-32H and I've only found one comfortable brand (Primadonna) and their bras are upwards of 200 bucks. Change also have some cheaper bras in a large range of sizes for my bigger busted girls ❤️
This was a really helpful video though! Thank you for the panty line tips 👌🏼
Hey Amélie! Have you checked out ThirdLove? I'm a 30F sometimes 28G and I have loved their stuff!!!
What kind of bra r best while staying home.
Usually I like going braless but it gets saggy n uncomfortable .
( ꈍᴗꈍ)
ikr, so practical ! small chest & Army Twinsies !
@@nanani6523 yay! (つ≧▽≦)つ
That was extremely helpful! Thank you so much
We have the same size.
Thank you!!
That's amazing! So happy they helped so much, Kacey 👏
