Purple line at Mount Tsukuba isn't too bad, but there are some goods roads also left untouched.. Just have to travel to get to them..
They try to do stuff like that in the most popular drifting spots. There's places even in the city where they've added tons of new lanes/guardrails to stop people from drifting certain corners.
i sense an itch there. Driver wants to drift it but his conscience is holding him from performing.

I wouldn't call it gutter technique. Sure he put a wheel out of the concrete, but it was just a little out of it. A real gutter technique is hard to pull it of, but once done it right... man what a sensation of speed, adrenaline and momentum, only on 1 curve. Such technique however is too harsh to the suspension. Be prepared to correct it or change it on a garage if you are practicing frequently.

It's so fascinating and satisfying to contemplate well known corners in real life after attacking this road in Assetto Corsa and Beam.NG.

@@quontaviousoneiljamesthe3r839 Its strange, if this corner was further ahead then yeah I would see it, but considering Keisuke does the hairpin right before this and still does a corner tight enough to see that Takumi is using an 86, its more than likely it was the winding corners after the long straight no matter how ridiculous it seems that Takumi could keep up at such a long straight.

@@quontaviousoneiljamesthe3r839 Can confirm, it's here. My thought is they draw it out in the anime just to drum up tension. They go through like five or six corners in the first episode when in reality there are only like two. Same with the number of "consecutive hairpins." The anime states that there are five, but there are actually four.

Battle Gear 4 is the closest you can get to actually "racing" this road. Also, the finish line is over the bridge and into the town in BG4.

There are two Mt Akina track mods for Assetto Corsa but this one is the better of of the two. acmods.net/tracks/mount-akina-2017/
There are also 3 AE86 vairents in the game, stock, drift and tuned. The devs even included a Fujiwara Tofu Shop livery for them.

A round sign with blue border is the mandated speed limit. They generally match the numbers painted on the ground. I don't really recall many 'recommended speed' signs in Japan, just a lot of "SLOW DOWNスピード落とせ" "SHARP CORNER急カーブ" painted on the pavement or on signs before the corners.

This isn't meant to be Initial D's 86, though. It's the location of Akina that is being taped, even the video title states 'an AE86', as opposed to 'Initial D's AE86' :P

Why people in Japan respect the speed limits so hard? I mean is there much police there or speed cameras? I feel like both didn't pass the speed limit in all the downhill
I lived there 15 years. People drive really really slow in Japan. There are not many speeders. You stick out too much. Not very many police doing enforcement but when they do, the penalties are quite severe, they will give you a stern talking down to, and even if no cops around, societal shame is a real thing. Nobody wants to be that one guy not following the rules.
