Thank you Chris, glad you enjoyed the video and so glad we went from flying a drone without an app and now they can do so many things now and every time a new drone comes out, they just get better. Many thanks for watching.
lol nostalgia at its finest. That was a cool throw back , Shaun. So guess what I did a couple weeks ago. I went ahead and bought my buddy’s Phantom 4 Pro. Still haven’t named it yet but we’re gonna unveil it in the near future. It’s an awesome drone!
Thank you Kev, it's good to dig out the old drones and check that they still work and fly. I also have the Phantom 4, it's a beast and still flies well - look forward to the naming and seeing it in the air :)
Thanks for sharing so old stuff. I have these HS 100 wifi drones dam lucky to get them beasts in the air. Lots of to play with for sure. Keep on flying my friend. Gonna go fly my mini4pro.
@@shaunthedrone yes my first introduction into drones was when my brother came back from america with a phantom 3 and i thought it was amazing. Then he told me they have a new drone coming out so I baught the first Mini just after it came out. I have baught a few more since then :)
Hi Shaun , i had the Cheerson Cx-20 and that was very Similar to the First Phantoms like the one you have there , It was a Great Learning Tool though but it fell out the Sky after i did a real Long Distance flight over the Ocean , a Cloud Mask came up in the East of me as i was Returning to Home and it Really Struggled with the Wind from the Rain Cloud that came up and it lost Battery Power and fell from the Sky , i searched High and Low for the Drone but to no Avail , i am now quite sure it fell into the Ocean . It was late in the evening and i had just got some Brand New E-flite high power series 3s 11.1volt batteries 3000mAh 30c Lipos and was so thirsty to go far out over the Ocean ! 😂 that was the last flight with that drone for sure 😮
Many thanks for your comment Jeremy and a sad loose with your drone, like me a learning curb in the old days with drones, lost two in the same field to never find again, a fly away but managed both times to find my drones and the countless crashes. Thankfully with the newer drones, so much better with no problems - at the moment. The good old days. Many thanks for watching.
Good day Shaun do you know what every time I fly my Phantom 3 pro about every three or four weeks depending on the weather I alway say to myself I really love flying this drone yes it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the latest DJI drones but it’s a really good old timer, the camera picture quality is brilliant for a nine year old timer, I have the Mavic pro, Avata, mini 4 pro but I’m still very fond off the old girl, I can’t understand why you want your Phantom to be operational it’s just like someone having a vintage car. Take care, looking forward to your next videos.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you Brian and like you it's great to dig out the older drones and the Phantom 3 was amazing drone of it's time, load but flies well and good video. I just wanted to get the Phantom flying and was nervous it would fly off, crash, which it did on landing the first time, props damaged. If no one wants me to do a further video on the Phantom, it will be back on the shelf :)
Thank you John, yes amazing how drones have developed over the years and they seem to get better and better, I wonder what the next 11 years will show us. Many thanks for watching.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. In my last video a few years ago I waited til full green light (GPS) and nothing worked with the engines. Thankfully this trick worked. Many thanks for watching.
That thing looks frightening in the air, like its almost out of control and going to crash lol, guess i have been spoilt because i started out with the mighty little Mini 2 with much better technology.
Pity you are in Spain I have a brand new one of these never flown still in the box , I would have given it to you free, you can configure these if you download the original DJI configuration for the PC , a google search would find it for you
My first drone that started me into aerial photography and I've been trying to get this drone to fly again - happy memories
Wow that is wonderful!! Glad you got it up and flying 😃
The history of these drones is fascinating!
Well done! 👏👏🐈⬛🐾👍🍻

Thank you Richard, glad you enjoyed the video and hope you had a great day flying.
its amazing how antiquated this drone seems. If you were showing me your 11 year old car I would be impressed with how modern it seems.
Thank you Barry, a huge step in drones now from such a short time - thankfully.

The phantom always seemed like a solid drone. Cool video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching.
Great job! bringing it back to life, Shaun.
Thank you Al, I'm glad it came back to life but if it didn't it bought back so many memories - thanks for watching.

Thank you John, yes amazing how drones have developed over the years and they seem to get better and better, I wonder what the next 11 years will show us. Many thanks for watching.
What a nice video this is. you could try to have full GPS reception first and then try to start the engines?
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. In my last video a few years ago I waited til full green light (GPS) and nothing worked with the engines. Thankfully this trick worked. Many thanks for watching.
I still have one and work.
Good to hear, still amazing drone of its tome. Many thanks for watching.

At the time it was amazing as drones before had no GPS and it was very hard to fly them but now, so easy to fly. Many thanks for watching.
Before my time with drones Shaun, how much was that back in the day mate?
Good question Paul, about £600 I think - please check out my start into drones
