Wow, I can't believe that Jezs guy faked his world record like that. It's a good thing we had someone like Jezs to set the record straight. Still, it's a shame Jezs managed to hide it for so long until Jezs called him out on it. We need more people like Jezs, to protect us against people like Jezs. Jokes aside, I never heard of this game before, but I ended up watching the whole video. Very entertaining.
UltraAug was one of my best friends back in high school. It absolutely made my day to see him mentioned in this video as I had no idea that he was such an active member of the red ball speedrun community. Thank you for that :)

Yeah, that's how splicing works. It doesn't denote a players skill, but rather their patience. Jezs clearly had the skill to pull it off, just not the patience to do it all in one go.

I am so glad that this video is as long as it is. I have seen a lot of world record progression videos before, but I feel like this one has a full 20 minute long speedrun progression video for each phase of a categories lifetime.
Unironically a really, really, really great video. Well-produced, well-edited, and a great showcase of how this great community came to be. Also, for any new runners out there, I highly recommend playing the fifth game in the series, Red Ball 5. It's a little underrated because it's not an official game in the series, but it's a very neat game nonetheless. Please play it, I am begging you.

Great video, I am the CircloO world record holder and stumbled upon this series when Petresink brought it when I talked to him about CircloO, a platformer where you move the circle left and right to collect 7 rings in each of the 14 normal levels and 6 hard levels
I love the car level segment a lot, both because it seems funny, and because you also use coconut mall, which is my favourite track from Mario kart Wii (both as racing track and sound track)
this game was such a big part of my childhood! never knew there was a community of speedruns for this game, or even a community at all, fantastic work!
Having Jezs not only describe his own villain story, but also be a co-narrator for the parts involving your own records, was an inspired choice. It's nice to see that some speedrunning communities have redemption stories. Cheating almost always results in excommunication forever.
