Here's an episode I recorded a few months ago about the Norwegian alphabet. The Norwegian alphabet is based on the Latin alphabet and consists of 29 letters. The difference between the Latin alphabet and the Norwegian alphabet is that the Norwegian alphabet consists of three extra letters: æ, ø and å. Let's learn more about that!
Good news: new episodes will now be released on a weekly basis on my UA-cam-channel. I have not decided what day of the week I will upload new episodes, but I'll let you know next week!
If you have any questions or feedback, it's appreciated if you leave a comment here on UA-cam or in the forums ►www.learnnorwegiannaturally.co...
Talk to you later!

The cute flowers spinning around in the breeze with the background music and the alphabet just makes me feel like I am in kindergarten all over again.
:)
@@jeficdequina6986 ppppppppppp
Where the heck did you go to kintergarten? Sounds pretty awesome!
I look like an absolute idiot when I repeat the letters after him out loud......but it's worth it.
ikr
Cool
Ify 😂
😂😂😂
I 'm french and it is really hard to pronounce your language but I like the way it sounds
Yeah that hard 😅
Oh tu trouves? Franchement je trouve que c'est un peu "aer" ber" "cer" et tout donc ça va.. ^^
Pareil
I get what you mean. French is my second language so some of the Norwegian letters I find myself pronouncing in French instead
you might be talking about the language in general but the alphabet's pronunciation except for a few letters is actually pretty close to french
This is great, Peder. You are speaking much more slowly and clearly, and I can use the subtitles to keep up with you. Månge takk!
So glad I found this video! Exactly what I need, I started a Norwegian class, it's very intimaditing, but I think this will help, thanks :) I can listen over and over to get it just right!
+Katie Hartmann That's great! I am glad you like the video. :)
Please keep these videos going :)
Your channel is one of the few decent Norwegian learning UA-cam channels out there.
sacredbanana I will upload a new episode every week for a few months to test it out. If that works well I will continue to do it after that as well. Thank you for watching! :-)
Thanks so much! I am Norwegian but my family lives in the US and had for a couple of generations. I love the culture and want to visit Norway once I finished collage and maybe even move there.
Hei, Peder. I just wanted to tell you that you inspired me to choose Norwegian as the main language for my Scandinavian cultures and languages studies. Tusen takk!

Norway men
Im from Sweden but its Easy to learn Norweigan because they both have the similiar culture and my brother lives at Norway❤
Was needing this. The pronunciation of å always gets me - methinks now it's the rough equivalent of the portuguese (my native language) ô... whereas ø is more like our ê... and æ is like á! :p So, tusen takk!
Hello Peder, learning Norwegian with your videos is a great pleasure! Thanks a lot! ☺️😁 Warm and Best wishes from the UK! 🇬🇧🌿 P. S. I'm a beginner! ☺️☺️
This was very helpful... Tusen takk!! 😊
I like when you show your mouth pronouncing the letters slowly. Seeing what your mouth is doing is very helpful!
I loved how letter f was pronounced ♡
Thank you ❤ it helped so much ❤

Really nice and relaxed video. I am amazed how much different and yet similar all the Germanic languages are. With some fantasy I can understand what it's about. Greetings from Vienna 🤗
Tusen takk
I'm going to be studying abroad in Norway this coming up January.... It'll be very scary there in my opinion with a different family but I'm kinda glad channels like this exist so I can actually some what understand things! Thank you some much for you help through all your videos!
How was your experience?
I like the way you teach :-)!
TAKK SO MUCH (I'm still learning but tip for the other learners, keep a diary in Norwegian! Have a 'rule' page in your native language and a vocab page at the back, its useful!)
BTW, I use a mac, and on the mac you get the extra three letters by
æ = Alt-' (that's an apostrophe)
ø = alt-o
å = alt-a
:-)
æøå ty!
or :æ-ae, ø-oe, å-aa
And press ALT + SHIFT you will get the capital letters: ÆØÅ
You can also hold down on the ‘a’ and ‘o’ keys (same with other keys such as ‘i’ and ‘e’) and wait for more options to show up.
On Macs, you need to press the number that’s associated with the letter you want while still holding down the selected key (e.g. you’d press ‘2’ if you want ‘é’ and still hold the ‘e’ key).
For iPhones, iPads, and iPods, you have to hold down the key and then slide over to the letter you want (e.g. you have to slide a little to the left if you want ‘ü’ while still keeping your finger on the screen).
Windows? Anyone?
Thank you!
Thank you 🌷🌷♥️

Wow this videos posed 7 years ago. And it's great. I'll start my learning process with you and duolingo.

I have no ability whatsoever to make the rolling rrrr sound :-(
I had the same trouble, but it came with practice. Easier said than done. Keep trying!
I‘m happy I can use the rolled r in norwegian, I can’t pronounce the french r...
I have no problems to say r in italian, swiss german and norwegian, I have nearly no problems to say it in english, but in french I have big problems (and in germany and Austria they will recognize that I am from Switzerland cause we use the rolled-r in german)
same it suck lol

How would the name John be pronounced? Like Yoon? Or Yawn?
I'm having the hardest time with the letter "J" I can't properly pronounce it for some reason! I'm starting with the alphabet and this video is perfect! You take the perfect amount of time so we can hear the pronunciation perfectly! I'm just gonna have to keep practicing "J"
the letter J is just like the english Y in "yellow" and "yolk"
takk

I'm confused... What's the difference between A and AE (couldn't find the letter) and the difference between O and the A with the circle on top?
