Hei, Peder. I just wanted to tell you that you inspired me to choose Norwegian as the main language for my Scandinavian cultures and languages studies. Tusen takk!
So glad I found this video! Exactly what I need, I started a Norwegian class, it's very intimaditing, but I think this will help, thanks :) I can listen over and over to get it just right!
sacredbanana I will upload a new episode every week for a few months to test it out. If that works well I will continue to do it after that as well. Thank you for watching! :-)
Thanks so much! I am Norwegian but my family lives in the US and had for a couple of generations. I love the culture and want to visit Norway once I finished collage and maybe even move there.
Good news: new episodes will now be released on a weekly basis on my UA-cam-channel. I have not decided what day of the week I will upload new episodes, but I'll let you know next week!
Learn Norwegian Naturally can you speak english on the beginning because the subtitle goes away too fast And i Moved from united states to norway so i need help with that
Was needing this. The pronunciation of å always gets me - methinks now it's the rough equivalent of the portuguese (my native language) ô... whereas ø is more like our ê... and æ is like á! :p So, tusen takk!

Hello Peder, learning Norwegian with your videos is a great pleasure! Thanks a lot! ☺️😁 Warm and Best wishes from the UK! 🇬🇧🌿 P. S. I'm a beginner! ☺️☺️
TAKK SO MUCH (I'm still learning but tip for the other learners, keep a diary in Norwegian! Have a 'rule' page in your native language and a vocab page at the back, its useful!)
My bff are Norwegen and I am Malaysian. Kinda tongue twisting to pronounce but it is super fun to learn. This is my fifth language too haha. Jeg eldker det ;)
I'm going to be studying abroad in Norway this coming up January.... It'll be very scary there in my opinion with a different family but I'm kinda glad channels like this exist so I can actually some what understand things! Thank you some much for you help through all your videos!
I‘m happy I can use the rolled r in norwegian, I can’t pronounce the french r... I have no problems to say r in italian, swiss german and norwegian, I have nearly no problems to say it in english, but in french I have big problems (and in germany and Austria they will recognize that I am from Switzerland cause we use the rolled-r in german)
You can also hold down on the ‘a’ and ‘o’ keys (same with other keys such as ‘i’ and ‘e’) and wait for more options to show up. On Macs, you need to press the number that’s associated with the letter you want while still holding down the selected key (e.g. you’d press ‘2’ if you want ‘é’ and still hold the ‘e’ key). For iPhones, iPads, and iPods, you have to hold down the key and then slide over to the letter you want (e.g. you have to slide a little to the left if you want ‘ü’ while still keeping your finger on the screen).
I've been listening to Peder's music for years now. Somehow I didn't realize he was Norwegian-- I thought he was German! A couple weeks ago I started to learn Norsk, and tonight I find out Peder has a Norwegian learning channel?!? Jeg er sjokkert!
Veldig smart da å snakke norsk i hele videoen da det er 100% sikkert på at bare utenlandske mennesker vil se på denne videoen Ikke har han engelsk tekst som et forslag heller
I'm bengali recently I'm into different language learning so far i learned Korean, hindi, urdu, spanish and English is my 2nd language. I came here to learn Norwegian here.
Really nice and relaxed video. I am amazed how much different and yet similar all the Germanic languages are. With some fantasy I can understand what it's about. Greetings from Vienna 🤗
The order is intersting. You say Æ, Ø and Å. In Swedish we use the order Å. Ä and Ö with the ö in the end. never thought before that we have thrown them around at the end between our languages
I started watching the wave and I was so interested in the language I came and looked up your video! I had fun pronouncing the letters with you! Thank you! The trickiest one for me was “W”!!
I'm having the hardest time with the letter "J" I can't properly pronounce it for some reason! I'm starting with the alphabet and this video is perfect! You take the perfect amount of time so we can hear the pronunciation perfectly! I'm just gonna have to keep practicing "J"
Hei! Jeg vill norsk lærer. Jeg liker dette språket. Dennoch muss ich Englisch lernen. Naja, ich bin mir sicher, dass ich beide Sprachen gleichzeitig lernen kann. Takk für die Videos! Vi sees.
The cute flowers spinning around in the breeze with the background music and the alphabet just makes me feel like I am in kindergarten all over again.
:)
@@jeficdequina6986 ppppppppppp
Where the heck did you go to kintergarten? Sounds pretty awesome!
Time for a juice box and a nap nap.
I 'm french and it is really hard to pronounce your language but I like the way it sounds
Yeah that hard 😅
Oh tu trouves? Franchement je trouve que c'est un peu "aer" ber" "cer" et tout donc ça va.. ^^
Pareil
I get what you mean. French is my second language so some of the Norwegian letters I find myself pronouncing in French instead
you might be talking about the language in general but the alphabet's pronunciation except for a few letters is actually pretty close to french
Takk!
This is great, Peder. You are speaking much more slowly and clearly, and I can use the subtitles to keep up with you. Månge takk!
I look like an absolute idiot when I repeat the letters after him out loud......but it's worth it.
ikr
Cool
Ify 😂
😂😂😂
lol, gotta start somewhere

I like when you show your mouth pronouncing the letters slowly. Seeing what your mouth is doing is very helpful!

Hello Peder, learning Norwegian with your videos is a great pleasure! Thanks a lot! ☺️😁 Warm and Best wishes from the UK! 🇬🇧🌿 P. S. I'm a beginner! ☺️☺️

Very easy, thank you!
TAKK SO MUCH (I'm still learning but tip for the other learners, keep a diary in Norwegian! Have a 'rule' page in your native language and a vocab page at the back, its useful!)

i thought æ sounded like ä
I have no ability whatsoever to make the rolling rrrr sound :-(
I had the same trouble, but it came with practice. Easier said than done. Keep trying!
I‘m happy I can use the rolled r in norwegian, I can’t pronounce the french r...
I have no problems to say r in italian, swiss german and norwegian, I have nearly no problems to say it in english, but in french I have big problems (and in germany and Austria they will recognize that I am from Switzerland cause we use the rolled-r in german)
same it suck lol
Holly A I can do it because i speak spanish.i love languages.you can try doing a kind of vibration with tongue like a truck.
Being a romanian helps me soo much with learning new languages....
YAY æ ø å!!! BTW, I use a mac, and on the mac you get the extra three letters by
æ = Alt-' (that's an apostrophe)
ø = alt-o
å = alt-a
:-)
æøå ty!
or :æ-ae, ø-oe, å-aa
And press ALT + SHIFT you will get the capital letters: ÆØÅ
You can also hold down on the ‘a’ and ‘o’ keys (same with other keys such as ‘i’ and ‘e’) and wait for more options to show up.
On Macs, you need to press the number that’s associated with the letter you want while still holding down the selected key (e.g. you’d press ‘2’ if you want ‘é’ and still hold the ‘e’ key).

Siobhain - “dobelt veh” would be how I write it phonetically (“dåbbelt-ve” in Norwegian) :)
