    ...I'm a 60 year old accountant who always wanted to be a pilot (at least looking in as a non pilot - like any profession, I'm sure there are good days and bad days). I wish I could have watched this series back in the seventies. It might have made a difference!

      For sure Captain, Please keep those videos coming and I would like to suggest to start Tutorials/Lessons and cover parts of PPL/CPL/IR ... courses that would be helpful for your subscribers and especially those who are working their way through ( including me )

    Thanks for uploading a video again! It really encouraged me more to hear that from you. I had been thinking a lot about starting my PPL now while doing my engineering degree, it'll be really tough doing both but I decided that I will take the challenge. I have no time to lose, so hope I get funding haha.
    I'll be waiting for more videos!!

    Could you possibly go more in depth about the family life? I'm planning to spend the rest of my life with my beautiful girlfriend. And I just want to be sure how everything works. I'm American... If that changes anything. Thank you so much!

      ***** Thank you so much! Okay, since I'm only interested in doing short-haul flights/ medium-haul flights, will I get to go home to my family every night if I'm based 20 mins away from the airport? keep in mind, I am an American. Thanks again!

    Just out of curiosity, you mentioned that, at the time you obtained your typerating it cost around 30,000 Euro. Do most new recruits take out commercial (e.g., bank) loans for this or do airlines offer deduction-from-salary funding methods?

    Hi I am wondering if I can get PPL and obtain all the licenses which is needed for an airline, also have a lot of flying hours can I still get into an airline without grades? If so let me know thank you😊 I love all your videos keep it up captain!

    So it's better to get a CPL ME/IR & then buy the type rating separately , rite?

    Hello Captain! Thank you very much for these videos, they really good, informative and exciting to watching! I wanted to know your opinion on two topics, one that you metioned on this video and the other is one that I was unsure off when I had to choose flight school. I am currently doing my fATPL and before I decided my current flight school I was unsure if the aviation school I choose would matter or be a decisive point when airlines hire. Do you think or from what you know does the flight school you go matter when airlines look at your CV? My second question is one that you spoke about, doing something else when your young, well here at my current flight schools there are diffefent opinions on how to get to an airline and I would love to do some bush flying or fly around islands for like a year or so once I'm done here for the adventure and experience of it, would you recommend such path or would it set me back? Hope you can reply to these questions.
    Thank you and hope to see more videos! :D

    Can I ask how did you mange to get the money to do your type rating? And did you have to pay anything to get the licences (PPL etc.) or were they all paid for by the college?

  • @benwroot8546
    @benwroot8546 8 років тому +1

    I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did you have to pay for all of these licences?

    So if I follow a similar program to the one that you went through in highschool, that means that I don't have to go to university to become a pilot? I just have to take these tests to get an airline job?

    hello I live in the uk and I want to join the RAF (Royal Air force) before becoming a commercial pilot. I want to be a pilot in the RAF to fly cargo Planes do you think this is a good idea. Because my principal told me that the RAF would pay for my training

    Herregud är du svensk?! Snälla kan du adda mig på facebook? Min största dröm är att bli en pilot som dig, du är typ som en förebild för mig! Jag är bara 13 och jag vill ställa ett par frågor som du kan svara på och kanske hjälpa mig lyckas inom flygindustrin. Snälla skicka en vänförfrågan till Shahi Amedi (Facebook)
