I was hoping that he would bring it up in the sync chapter but he didnt - people PLEASE try FMing the synced vco ! Since the oscillator is synced it cannot go out of tune by increasing the fm depth. This means there are ENDLESS ways to get musical FM with sync!

Awesome idea to rotate SMR with a copy of your drum loop! I’ve been thoroughly satisfied with the great many results I’ve seen others cultivate from SMR, I guess I shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting to use it to copy somebody else’s ideas, since I haven’t yet really been able to use it in a way that I feel is my own.

There's plenty of tutorials on YT already :) Use 4:3 format, add grain and a vintage film emulation color grading.
