I found a hack to deal with the lids being hard to open because of dried paint. I coated the jar threads with white lithium grease (has no scent) left over from another project. I would think petroleum jelly would work too. No more stuck lids for me so far. I like Fusion and the glaze they sell. I painted a couple of wood railings, then "glazed" them. I'm seeing no wear and it seems you can wipe the railings with a damp cloth to clean them.
Thank you so much for your great videos. I am a mental health therapist starting my first private practice to serve First Responders in my community. I am finding ways to save money as well as want to do my part for the environment so I am going to refurbish pieces I need. I checked out another one of your videos painting velvet. I was gifted a great velvet chair but I’d like to change the color so I’ll be trying your paint product for as well as refinishing a desk, end tables and coffee table. I’ll definitely share my fished projects. So excited to try your products! Thanks again for the thorough videos. I’m not much of a DIY gal so I’ve been a bit intimidated but your videos are giving me the confidence!
Just took Fusion Mineral Paint in my store " Heritage Paint & Home Design ". Very excited to start displaying some pieces for product uses and color combinations.
I really need help. I ordered fusion mineral paint from a paint store near my place and I think they didn't give me the right brush, I asked for synthetic bristles which is what they gave me but I see strokes and my roller is microfiber and see roller marks too. I've given 3 coats and still see them. What can I do please?
Hello, the surface would have to be fixed and smooth. Our paints are high coverage but will not cover topical variations on the surface. Hope that helps
Do you recommend putting a wrapped brush with paint in the freezer to hold it in case you n need to stop overnight? I know we've done this with regular paint.
I adore this paint although i defo always need to use more than 2 coats for a perfect even smooth finish , don’t think I’d ever use anything else now 😍
I painted my wooden chairs coal black but i find it too matte, i heard you say you could add some wax to it to give it a bit of a sheen, what kind of wax would you use?
We would recommend using either our Furniture wax or our SFO in natural to uo the sheen and protection. shop.fusionmineralpaint.ca/products/stain-finishing-oil-all-in-one
@Talletc Sorry, people usually use a primer, but Jenny Lin recommends first applying a medium, like a grey, before applying the light color. It's not a primer, but it's sort of the same idea.
I’m finishing a kitchen drop leaf table. Sanded and filled nicks, two coats of primer and two coats of fusion white paint. I have no coverage with the two coats. Now what do I do?
This is personal preference, sometimes they are in bad condition and need some love an care, other times just a clean and a wipe over with our Beeswax Finish.
A stir never hurts but it isn't usually needed. Many do use it in a sprayer, be sure to wear the proper respirators to protect your lungs from particles airborn.
We recommend Staalmeester you can find them at your local Fusion™ Mineral Paint merchants or online shop.fusionmineralpaint.ca/collections/staalmeester
Is it okay that the brush strokes are showing through after one coat of primer and one coat of fusion paint which was applied with a recommended paint bruch
Painting light colours over dark surfaces can take up to 3 or more coats. See more inforamtion here > shop.fusionmineralpaint.com/products/transition?_pos=1&_psq=transistion&_ss=e&_v=1.0
A very useful guide. But I can't help but add - how perverce we humans are... spend money, time and expertise painting up a cabinet to look fresh and new only to give it a 'distressed' finish 😳😳
Very informative about the color! I wasn't sure how this color would look like on a piece of furniture. Now I do! Thanks the presenter!
Beautiful color, but the handles look upside down?
They are 😂
Thats what I said. She should put them up right. Beautiful piece
Yeah they arw
😂😂
Was about to say the same 😂

That is a beautiful color.
I want to know about dealing with a veneer that’s peeled off in places. Please advise. 😊 happy to send close up photos
I love fusion mineral paint, I am new to using it. ❤
Just took Fusion Mineral Paint in my store " Heritage Paint & Home Design ". Very excited to start displaying some pieces for product uses and color combinations.
Why did you put the drawer pulls upside down from where they originally were?
It was a whoopsie :)
I want to know if you put a top protective or wax coat on your painted pieces?
I used fusion paint for the first time and now have brush strokes. How do I get rid of the brush strokes

I sanded down to bare wood. can I paint right over that? Going to use the Coal Black.
Yes, for sure it works great over prepped wood.
Tips for spaying FMP? It runs out so fast!
It look great. If I repair some veneer damages of a piece, does this paint can hide it?
Hello, the surface would have to be fixed and smooth. Our paints are high coverage but will not cover topical variations on the surface. Hope that helps
mam you have painted this on what kind of wood ?
Can we use mineral fusion on a baby crib?
You can yes, Our Paint is lead-free, phlalate-free, formaldehyde-free, ammonia-free, and therefore virtually odourless.
Do you recommend putting a wrapped brush with paint in the freezer to hold it in case you n need to stop overnight? I know we've done this with regular paint.
What colour has been used??
I adore this paint although i defo always need to use more than 2 coats for a perfect even smooth finish , don’t think I’d ever use anything else now 😍
Are you using the right paintbrush? The Stallmeister brushes really do a great coverage job. Though they do require extra care.
I would take the drawers and accesories out before cleaning and painting. I would also paint the drawers separately.
Do you recommend this for a dining table top? Should it have a top coat?
Why would you not use a foam roller?
Dd you sand between coats of paint?
I did not, if you find there are lines or texture you can :)
you don't have to prime? Painting over a varnished finish?
If you clean and if the surface is shiny a little scuff sand. Fusion has a primer built right into the formula.
did you even watch the video?? lol
Can you spray this paint on?

Which color do you use? Really beautiful🤩🤩
She says the name in the video and in the notes
Can you use the metallic paint on door knobs through out the house??
Our metallics work great on metal, just clean with TSP and if shiny scuff sand and paint away!
thanks
Can you paint over any surface such as shellac as long as you use TSP and scuff the piece? I am going light over dark wood.
Not an expert but I
Yes, they recommend priming before going to light (from dark).
@@catty2chattywho is they? That’s not what they did in this video, the advantage of the paint is that it does not need primer
@Talletc Sorry, people usually use a primer, but Jenny Lin recommends first applying a medium, like a grey, before applying the light color. It's not a primer, but it's sort of the same idea.
Can this be applied over a previous Annie Sloan chalk paint job?
Yes
Can I paint fusion mineral paint direct on mdf
On their website they have a prep video for many different surfaces
I’m finishing a kitchen drop leaf table. Sanded and filled nicks, two coats of primer and two coats of fusion white paint. I have no coverage with the two coats. Now what do I do?
Try adding another coat, they should be thin and good dry time in between coats. Happy painting
If you are painting a dark piece, do you paint the inside of the drawers? The video didn't show what you did.
This is personal preference, sometimes they are in bad condition and need some love an care, other times just a clean and a wipe over with our Beeswax Finish.
How do I use this paint over plywood?
Where to buy in the US?? I can only find it on Amazon and the shipping is super hight, no prime?
fusionmineralpaint.com/where-to-buy/ You can find your local retailer here on the map
Do you have to stir before you start? Also, can this paint be used in a sprayer?
A stir never hurts but it isn't usually needed. Many do use it in a sprayer, be sure to wear the proper respirators to protect your lungs from particles airborn.
What brand / company is your brush and where did you buy it?
We recommend Staalmeester you can find them at your local Fusion™ Mineral Paint merchants or online shop.fusionmineralpaint.ca/collections/staalmeester
Do you stir the paint first?
Just give the pot a shake!
Would you recommend foam brush to avoid brush strokes?
I have the same question
Is it okay that the brush strokes are showing through after one coat of primer and one coat of fusion paint which was applied with a recommended paint bruch
I thought that as well, the handles look upside down.
I want to paint my front porch would this paint work on that? Would with stand the elements?
Fusion is excellent for outside projects. Check out all these projects fusionmineralpaint.com/?s=out+doors
I painted two small sheds 1 ½ yrs ago. Still look the same as when I painted them.
Does fusion paint have an odor when using it?
Fusion™ Mineral Paint does not have an odour when using it. :)
I'm open to new ideas, but the handles look sort of obviously upside down to me.
They are indeed! good catch ;)
Three coats later and the dark original color of my piece is still showing through the paint........
Painting light colours over dark surfaces can take up to 3 or more coats. See more inforamtion here > shop.fusionmineralpaint.com/products/transition?_pos=1&_psq=transistion&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Can you paint leather or vynal with fusion paint!
Teria como colocar legenda em português?
?
Aren’t you supposed to rinse TSP off before painting
Yes, but ours is a non rinse, eco-friendly, non-toxic formula. :)
Handles put back on upside down.
Good spot ;)
I thought you were supposed to rinse off with water after using TSP🤔
Yes, but ours is a non rinse, eco-friendly, non-toxic formula. :)
Lowes or HD also sells non-toxic TSP that needs no rinsing
Why downplay the “time” it takes to do each step? It takes the time that it takes to do a good job!!
The drawer handles are upside down. Please flip them. It’s hurting my eyes!
The handles being upside down are making me crazy. 😂
Yep the hardware is upside down 😂
We didn't notice until after someone pointed it out to us :)
