    I bought a Vitamix through Henry...
    AND I LOVE IT!!!!
    Today I ate more fruits and vegetables in my (first) Vitamix smoothie than I have in the past week. Yeah! Totally depleted my carb cravings. No frozen yogurt, muffins, or chocolate for me this evening. Amazing what proper nutrition does for our body.
    :)
    Thank you, Henry!

    I think I saw that sunflower seeds could certainly yield around the same amount of butter as a peanut or a cashew, but...wow, after seeing this, I did do a combination sunflower seed/peanut butter in my Vitamix 7500, and wow...after tasting it off the spatula as I was transferring it to a container, I have to wholeheartedly agree with you, Henry. Wow.

    Thanks for clearing that up for me Henry. I bought the 5200 thinking it would be the last blender type kitchen gadget I would ever buy and it looks like it's gonna stay that way. Keep up the great videos!

    Hey henry I received my vitamix 750 today and I love it thank u so much for all the stuff u offered. At first I thought they were sendin the stainless steal one but instead got the all black one. So I called brenda and told her my disappointment and she sent me the other cookbook I wanted for free so great customer service. Plz do more recipes soon we miss u!!!!!

    No problem midnightslasher83, thanks for your support. The new low profile container is 64oz. It will not "work" with the 5200 base. It fits but it will not work. The blade is larger and requires more power. The new Vitamix machines have a 2.2.Peak horsepower motor. The 5200 has 2Peak horsepower. The new container will burn out the motor. Vitamix does not sell this container separately for that very reason.

    That's awesome Tiana and sorry that mixup happened but you got a very nice one. I actually love the look of the 750 in black. That was a limited edition model last xmas. I am very happy for you and yes, Brenda takes very good care of my viewers. Let me know if you have questions. Stay tuned, I have a very big video coming shortly. I promise you I've been working hard on this one.

    The biggest feature on the next generation machines (such as the 7500) is the new low profile blending container. Fits under most cabinets and it's blends more efficiently due to the container being wider at the bottom. Keep your 5200. It's signature of Vitamix. In fact your 5200's container is more versatile because it's narrower at the bottom. Easier for making sauces, dressings and ice cream for one. The new wider container requires more ingredients to cover the blades.

    Hello Henry I just subscribed to your channel because of your demos. I have a older model vitamix (I can't recall the model number). You have motivated me to start using it again. I've already done peanut butter but I am going to make the sunflower butter soon. Keep the videos coming.

    Thanks for responding so quickly Henry. What size is the new container with the 7500 and will it work on the 5200? It looks like you don't need to use the tamper as much with the newer container. Sorry for so many questions.

    Hi Tiana, the "Simply Fresh" cookbook is the one that comes with the 7500. If you buy the 750 it will automatically come with the CREATE cookbook. Vitamix doesn't offer the choice of which book to get in the package unfortunately. Yes, you can buy the recipe books from me, however it seems to be that the Simply Fresh book is not part of the books for sale. I'll have to check on that after the weekend and get back with you. Thank U so much for referring your friend to purchase through me! :-)

    One quick note for those who are making this for someone who may be allergic: make sure the seeds were not processed or roasted on the same machines as peanuts! Cross contamination might be an issue.

    Hello! I made sunbutter for the first time today, my sunflower seeds were raw and unsalted. I didn't add any ingredients. Can anybody help me figure out how long it will last in a mason jar? It tastes delicious I spread it on a wheat cracker with sliced bananas and it was sooo yum

    Great demo, especially for those with food allergies (you're clearly a nice uncle). Incidentally, halwa in some Eastern European countries is made with sunflower seeds rather than sesame. I'll bet you could adapt a recipe for the Vitamix.

    Another great video Henry! Last year I bought a 5200 from a road show at Wegman's for $450 and now I've noticed that they have the 7500 and other models that come with pre-sets. Is there any real reason to upgrade other than the convenience of the pre-sets and being able to say that I have the newest model?

    Hi techiediva2011! Thanks for your support. You will not regret it once you make that sunflower seed butter. It may take an extra few seconds longer to churn to the same smoothness as peanut butter but it will be so worth it. Try it with the chocolate. It's a great Nutella substitute. :-)

    Hey Henry! Just curious, why don't you use the dry container to make nut butters since you're grinding dry ingredients? Thank you!

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  9 років тому +2

      FeatMilky The Dry Blade Container works opposite of the Wet Blade Container. The Wet blade (while can be used to chop nuts) draws the ingredients downwards towards the blades at a constant motion. This extracts the oils from the nuts or seeds forcing the ground nuts or seeds to turn into a butter. The Dry Blade Container pushes the ingredients upwards away from the blades. By doing this the ground nuts or seeds will be forced to turn into a powder to create flour. This upwards pushing action cannot extract the oils from the ingredients so butter cannot be created.

    • @jmrcnslt
      @jmrcnslt 7 років тому +1

      I have made 2 batches using the wet blade (larger container on my 5200) and it took a long time to blend. On the 2nd batch it overheated the motor causing it to stop. The butter wasn't creamy and was more like crunchy peanut butter. My recipe also called for olive oil.
      Tonight I used the dry blade (smaller container) and it worked like a charm! Creamy and no discernable chunks of sunflower seeds. The Vitamix books that came with my mixer didn't have any information on which container to use. Thanks for providing this video.

    Thanks henry, so what if my container for the 7500 broke, will thw warranty covers it? Thanks again for your speedy answer :)

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  10 років тому

      No worries, if your container breaks Vitamix will replace it. They generally will have you send them the container and they will pay for shipping and then they will send you back the other one. Depending on who you speak with they most likely will send you the replacement first so you can get back to blending business. :-)

    Please take dried grapes, either black or yellow, roughly crush it and mix with butter.
    This will make sun butter more delicious. Dried grapes remain for longer time, so we can keep for longer time if needed.
    If you don't have dried grapes, you can add dried fig. Fig also gives very good flavor.
    Use dried beetroot for giving good color, crush it with sun flowers seed.

    Why did you get a Vitamix 7500, and how does it compare to the Vitamix 5200?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  10 років тому +1

      All Vitamix machines regardless of price or features blend equally the same. They all incorporate the same designed commercial-grade motor as the Vitamix machines in smoothie shops and restaurants. The 5200 is the staple of Vitamix and this style of machine is preferred by chefs due to it's narrow base. The 7500's container is wider and shorter and fits underneath most cabinets. It's quieter and has a more robust cooling system for heavy traffic usage.

    Question for ya, can I make this in my Vitamix 6000?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  10 років тому

      Hi Kim! Absolutely. You can easily make the sunflower butter on your 6000. For 3-4 cups of sunflower seeds use the timed setting of 1:30.

    • @KBPossible2024
      @KBPossible2024 10 років тому

      Thank you!!! One more question: my husband saw you making the corn pancakes out of the popcorn. Can the 6000 do that as well? We do not have the grain container like you do. We only have the 64 pitcher and I am not sure that it will grind it up like powder?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  10 років тому +1

      Hi Kim. While you "can" mill the popcorn into cornmeal in the included Wet Blade container I do not recommend it. The Dry Blade works in the opposite direction of the Wet Blade. The Wet Blade pulls the ingredients downward towards the blades to create drinks or liquifying ingredients. For example, the Wet Blade can make peanut butter while the Dry Blade makes peanut flour. The Wet Blade pulls the peanuts downwards constantly to force them to hit the blades and release the oils so it can churn the ground peanuts into butter. The Dry Blade pushes the ingredients upwards away from the blades at a constant to create a powdery texture. This is why it's ideal for making Cornmeal, Flour, milling Flax Seeds, making powdered sugar and even chopping nuts. It cannot force oils out of the grains. The Dry Blade will ground the cornmeal much finer and more efficiently.
      One other thing to note: Grinding hard grains will mar up the container due to the dry grains causing tiny scratches. It's cosmetic and will not reduce blending quality but in a short time the container will turn cloudy from the scratches. You do not want your Wet Blade to turn cloudy, it makes it hard for measuring ingredients. There's no way to fix this and it's not covered under warranty. Use the Dry Blade container those needs.

    • @KBPossible2024
      @KBPossible2024 10 років тому

      Henry PJ
      thank you...we will have to purchase the dry blade so that we can use it for the intended purposes of use. Glad I asked. :-)

    Hi henry, i just got my 7500 but do you know where i can buy an extra 68oz container that fits my 7500? Thanks

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  10 років тому

      Hey adrian! Congrats on the 7500 purchase! The container size is actually 64oz but unfortunately it's not for sale. It's designed to work only with the Next Generation Vitamix machines such as the 7500. Some customer that own the traditional style machines like the 5200 want the next generation container. It will "fit" the 5200 but it's not designed to be used with it and will damage the motor if it's used on the 5200 and thus will void the warranty. Vitamix wants to prevent the wrong customers from buying it in order to avoid having to void customer's warranties.

      I filled with hot sudsy water, used a dish cloth above the blade area and then dumped some of the sudsy water out and put the container on the Vitamix and blended until I couldn't see any sunflower seed butter left on the sides. I did a pretty good job before washing of wiping out (with my finger) any stray butter :) it was delicious.
