Vigor could corner the market with this game. Haven't come upon a similar game with the same concept. They had a great foundation for this game. There was so many signs leading up to this point. They tend to screw with things that shouldn't be touched. If it aint broke don't fix it. Apparently, no one ever told them this growing up so they kept messing with it. LOL. As a Partner we can't always share everything we know or we get given time frames before we can, but I do feel that the Devs themselves don't help the situation sometimes. The bigger issue with the Halloween changes was the removal of all the fertilizer from all the maps. This is always the problem with the Devs at Vigor, they never do anything at all to benefit the players, only punish them. So their idea of a "fun" Halloween event is to make everything dark, add a bunch of non-functional pumpkins, add a bunch of random noises to make it harder to play, and remove the resources people need to collect to advance. To add insult to injury, many players were given a "collect 300 fertilizer" daily immediately after all fertilizer was removed from all maps. Either the devs were deliberately trying to get people to quit, or they are so profoundly stupid as to not realize that removing fertilizer and asking people to collect it is going to piss people off. All of this stems from the core problem that the devs do not play the game. They think they play, but they don't. They create accounts, then they gift themselves resources and weapons rather than doing the actual grind it takes to get them. So they don't realize how their changes affect the average player. For them, there is no need to collect fertilizer, so why should anyone care if they remove it? Similarly, this new "donation" system. Previously 10k food got you 5 crates (15 items). Now 10k gets you 1 create (3 items) and 20k gets you 1 crate with 1 item. They _claim_ that this item can be a plan, a ticket, a skin, etc. However, we all know the vast majority of players will only get tickets. 20k donation for 1 unlock ticket is NOT what the players want.
Firstly thanks for you comment and honesty I knew there were issues with loot, but didn't know it was fertilizer only. Interesting. I like the Halloween update as it has evolved over the years, but the constant darkness gets too much. Your comment makes me wonder why we don't loot the pumpkins for fertilizer in the Encounters as this would make it fun. This new Donation Hub - you are right? I have been sharing as much as I can on our discord about the figures. You will have to donate over 1.2K % MORE food to get 1 Special Issue crate or over 1.7k % MORE to get a Donation crate with will give you a chance at a plan, 2 Special Issue crates OR 2 Booster Tickets. This is a major nerf in my opinion and I feel others will feel it too when they try it. With this and no console crossplay until January 2025 and the announcement that Switch will not continue in the future.... It's hard to be positive right now
I still enjoy vigor. Definitely don't play it as much as I used to. It also doesn't help that people are complaining about the game everywhere I look. Honestly, I just want to have fun. With this new season, I lost a bunch of my friends that I used to play with. Mostly due to the stamina being nerfed, no crosshair, and having to hold buttons for interactions. At the end of the day, I will be here till the wheels fall off.
As someone who's been playing the game since the ps launch seeing how the potential is being wasted and the quite surprising decisions happen over the years has been super depressing

The PC release was a huge mistake and released to early and the lack of testing before releasing updates makes me angry, how they are destroying this unique game. Got to say as an EX-VIGOR PARTNER, one of the reasons I left the partnership was because all the promises made about the game and then all the issues that came to light. This game was a great game for me, but unfortunately with all the bugs and issues it just sank from the love of my heart and now I haven't played the game properly in about 8 months. Season after season of being told things will be done then destroying it. I really do hope they can bring it back but it's going downhill... Quickly.

I’ve felt the same, and I stopped grinding the game like I used to. Loved the game, loved the concept, loved the friends and the haters I met in this game. I want the best for the game, but I even gave up hope for it if I’m honest. Great video Tiny
Aw thanks sweetie and thanks for the honesty too. I was scared to share my feelings, as I didn't want people to think I hate the game, but it seems that alot agree. The Vigor Community is special and will always be, what ever happens to the game.
I feel bad for vigor but I wonder why the game is at 1991 and it's stuck there and no more new technology new guns if vigor is at 1991 since the beginning , I think it's time to get new years in vigor to be in the year 2000 so the game could got more guns, technology and new consumables

I don't know that the game will die in a spectacular explosive fashion, as long as some people are drip feeding in money it will probably limp along - I'll certainly keep trying to ride this over-flogged horse for a while yet. One additional factor I would add in is that this has been an abysmal year for game studios in general - there was an excellent article about it in the 30 October edition of the Pushing Buttons gaming newsletter on The Guardian, worth a read for some context in terms of the wider game development sphere. Without changes to the dev team though, a slow death does feel inevitable. If they could pump in some more human resource, perhaps spend one season on just working on fixes (would the player base tolerate that?) rather than new content, and try to be more actively engaged with community (even if they do it "second-hand" through Discord mods and Partners) then I think it could keep marching on. It would be an absolute shame to lose this game, there's nothing else like it on Console and I hope they keep working on those unique aspects rather than making it more like the tacky Battle Royale games that so many people seem to want to play. Appreciate you, Dizzy, Riley and the community you have built alongside this game, and glad that you'll hopefully keep on keeping on, hopefully with vigour, even if not with Vigor.

As much as I enjoyed my time in Vigor (honestly more just getting to know you, Diz, and your awesome community) I just don't care about it anymore. I didn't even make it a year, although hearing you talk about it may have been the worst year to try haha. I still can't believe they devoted resources to a PC version and ignored the console playerbase. PC has so many games similar to vigor that are already established or depending on opinion just better that it has baffled me from the first time I heard it. I may circle back to vigor at some point, but for now it is uninstalled as it felt like less and less fun everytime I turned it on. I will always be happy I tried it though cause I met you all though so that's nice.

To be honost, i Don't know why snodekt has open exits anyway...its the same map so i made sense withe the locked exits. Map after death helps alot against teamers 👍. And If Servers are running,i will even Play Vigor without battlepasses ...
Thanks for your comment and honesty. I like that you will play the game regardless (Are you the number 1 die hard fan?) You say about the locked exits. Locked exits were not part of the game to start with, they have come in over time. Also the fact of having them in is not the issue, it is the communication from the Devs confirming that they were known issues and then taking them out, then bringing them back again. They just needed to be like - this is change! Outlanders like transparency and this goes a long way. Like I said in the video, if the Devs told the community that PC was on the table, then they would have been happy - it didn't need to come out the next season, they would have just been happy with knowing it was on the cards, even it was going to take years to come. I'm glad you are still positive about it and feel you are confident it is going no where?

From my own experience the devs ignored constructive criticisms from their most loyal players so far. They ask people to post their experiences with bugs in their official Facebook group but when I've done so the devs have never even replied to me.
This is sad to hear. Why reach out and ask for feedback if they don't even acknowledge it? All I could say about this, is that the team have lost 2 CMs, so this means that communication with the Community may be affected, as there is not enough time in the day to do 3 peoples tasks. Its not an excuse, but may explain it, but it does depend on the time frame you are refering to. I feel we have a rocky time ahead Thank you for the comment and honesty
@TinyOnline I commented on a post this season specifically asking for sound bugs they can fix. I told them there is music that plays when you start an encounter on the new map even if you have the music turned off. They never replied and the bug is still there to my knowledge.
@@SpiritBox_ Yes that bug is still there and yeah, I shared that on the video. It seems a little silly on its own, but it's annoying and not the first time this type of bug has happened. When we got Bridges, it had the same music bug for ages. I hope it gets fixed soon as even though not game breaking, it is an unnecessary bug. Thank you for sharing
Vigor has way too many issues to fix. The weapon balance has become a joke, rifles with no cross hairs and white weapons which have more expensive ammo than gold weapons. The amount of XP needed to get from level 49 to 50 used to be about 83,000 and now it's over 200,000. I've not even finished the last few seasons as it's too much of a grind. I finished my shelter years ago as a lot of people have and there's no reason to keep playing other than to finish the season which has now become a massive chore. If they did add something to the shelter it would have to be a completely new resource otherwise you'd just use up all of the stuff you've got in the shelter now. The game needs stripping back to basics, lose the portables, armour plates and all of the other crap which doesn't exist in real life. It's no wonder new players don't stick with the game when you have teams of sweats hunting them down from the off, the games become more of a battle royale, and a lot of the sweats just leave when nobody is left to kill. The whole cheating thing was never dealt with properly, people blatantly cheating with cronus devices or running two or three other players in the same round, I know someone who used to play three xbox's at the same time. Devs would fix one bug and add two more. I could go on and on.

You should write up my next script ;) The last season and this one, I will not complete the BP for once as I refuse to level up with crowns as this is what they want us all to do - I'm not doing it anymore. Less than 2 years ago I had always finished the battle passes, even as a casual player, so it shows how much it has increased. Like you said 'I could go on and on'. @TinyOnline the whole thing has become a cash grab at this point. It's a full time job if you want to finish the battle pass without buying it. I get that people want to customise their characters but the cost of everything in the store is ridiculous, I rarely see anyone running around with the latest outfits or weapon skins. Removing the legacy seasons was another bad idea. Does the game need anymore weapons, fix what we have now before adding more. The game needs the bugs fixing, shelter upgrades and maybe a more urban map.
You are right, it is a great game idea and has potential, which is why the community get so passionate when they mess things up. So you don't think the game is over then?

The xp grind is what killed the game for me and looks like going to kill the game as a whole. 5 million up is absolutely insane.... Bye bye vigor I was gonna give you another run, but for what to not finish the battle pass. I'll save my time and money....
It's really disheartening to see team members leaving an not being replaced. It seems like they've made a mistake by trying to move to PC, it almost feels like it was their final attempt at saving the game

IMO vigor went downhill when they simply slowed the game down. Sprint reload got removed, okay cool because new players dont know how to do it. Then they removed the setting (performance mode) no idea why. Then they removed the ability to regain stamina while moving. They messed with the guns, they messed with the bugle, removed crosshairs for the rifles.
Thank you for sharing this and you are right. Many have complained about the game slowly down, but yet some have also praised it as it is like the old days. I feel on its own it would have been fine as changes aren't always bad, but with the bugs and glitches, it has made it unpleasant for a play style and therefore made those players move on

Thanks for your message. I can say now, as it's just after the Dev stream, where they confirmed this. Console Crossplay is due in Season 21, but will not start immediately! They plan for it to be active in January 2025, but it depends on the technical side.
Oh, so now people can talk about what many have already said and have been combated by fanboidom all the way. Incompetence and ignorance to any constructive criticism is what springs to mind about the dev team of Vigor. With Every dev dairy deflecting any real input to try to give the game life and just pandering to will you add moustaches and more pants and shirts(sarcasm but not far from the truth). The game has lacked content fullstop with a circle of death revolving around mechanics being implemented and making the game more frustrating to play along with what just seem like broken promises. I criticised this game through frustration of seeing the potential that this game could be something great, but it's just been squashed by devs that dare to dream or listen, it seems. Unless they've had their hands tied by higher-ups, then I apologise. But again, this is where transparency to the player base would of helped. I would have played money for more interesting content p.o.i's and activities, or different game modes in Vigot, but now it's this far down the track with more games out there that have better things and replayability for myself I've moved on. I wish you guys(vigor and the players) good luck, and I hope all your games are good ones✌️

Is not just that, for me the dev are just not gamer (just watch them play🤣) and to use that insane potential that this game have they need to really use the communty, like serously who have the idea to add a quick match button and nobody wanted a New knife (sorry if my english is shit)

There have been loads of community ideas bought into the game over the years, which I think is great, but I think you trying to say that - the devs use the ideas of the community rather than coming up with their own ideas - maybe You are right, no one asked for a knife, but we have been asking for years for an axe!
Speaking from an old console player & PC player, Vigor just feels abandoned. The discord mods barring Tobias are absent at best, draconian and opaque at worst. The game is barely populated because of mostly cheaters which the devs just seem to not care about? It's been an abysmal launch, and the dev team hand-waving away concerns with content and cheaters with pleasantries and borderline lies, frankly, I hope the game dies. The way the PC launch has gone, and the devs tone and attitude towards the (at least PC) playerbase deserves nothing less than massive failure as far as I'm concerned.

If there was a massive cultural shift in the dev team about interacting with the playerbase, cleaning up the cheating situation on PC, and actually engaging with the community, yeah, I can see it getting a second wind. People seldom change though, so I feel it's a case of shitting in one hand and hoping for change in the other, and I'm sure we both know which is going to fill up faster. As to the failure, I think the dev team is simply reaping what they've sown. Bringing Tobias on was the one good call I've seen the devs make. Forsythia was god awful at her role, as is the other mod I saw in the discord (some furry from germany is all I recall), past that, seldom little communication for the PC playerbase, and constant, bordering on comical, fuck-ups & following radio silence from the devs since the released into CBT/Paid Beta.

But then Wardog left the Partnership and streaming altogether, so I haven't gone on it since as it makes me sad. One day I may load it up again,but I have no idea what my PSN is. Consumable from store in ps4/5 also was it missing for weeks before to get fix it. And fuck yes, the amount XP need to be changes, even having the season pass i leaves the season about that. Lvl 36 I dont really like this game bc i hate the gameplay, i mean the 3° person shooter online games have it a bad gameplay, is like, the players thanks to the 3° person view have to be behing a cobert, kissing walls, trees, and rocks for even minutes after someone have balls to end with that. I play bc is the only one extration shooter in console.
Yes you are right. I believe on S20 release the Consumable Plans were not on any platform in store and then PC was fixed very quickly, with a few weeks later the PS side was fixed too. Xbox and Switch have had all season without the Consumable Plans, relying on the Feature Store rotation to full fill the demand. I am hearing more everyday confirming that they aren't completing the Pass this season and I don't think I've ever heard anything positive about the high XP yet. Vigor has always been 3rd person and I've got used to it, but I do understand that there is a demand for 1st person. Thank you for your comment and time

Aw thanks sweetie and thanks for the honesty too. I was scared to share my feelings, as I didn't want people to think I hate the game, but it seems that alot agree. The Vigor Community is special and will always be, what ever happens to the game.
I feel bad for vigor but I wonder why the game is at 1991 and it's stuck there and no more new technology new guns if vigor is at 1991 since the beginning , I think it's time to get new years in vigor to be in the year 2000 so the game could got more guns, technology and new consumables

Great video (as always) Tiny. Thanks for your honesty in assessing the situation. I don't know that the game will die in a spectacular explosive fashion, as long as some people are drip feeding in money it will probably limp along - I'll certainly keep trying to ride this over-flogged horse for a while yet. One additional factor I would add in is that this has been an abysmal year for game studios in general - there was an excellent article about it in the 30 October edition of the Pushing Buttons gaming newsletter on The Guardian, worth a read for some context in terms of the wider game development sphere. Without changes to the dev team though, a slow death does feel inevitable. If they could pump in some more human resource, perhaps spend one season on just working on fixes (would the player base tolerate that?) rather than new content, and try to be more actively engaged with community (even if they do it "second-hand" through Discord mods and Partners) then I think it could keep marching on. It would be an absolute shame to lose this game, there's nothing else like it on Console and I hope they keep working on those unique aspects rather than making it more like the tacky Battle Royale games that so many people seem to want to play. Appreciate you, Dizzy, Riley and the community you have built alongside this game, and glad that you'll hopefully keep on keeping on, hopefully with vigour, even if not with Vigor.

Good point, but.... except I and others did pay for it. Also being free should not give it the excuse to not be to a certain standard. I play other free to play games and I don't feel the same way as I do about Vigor.
As much as I enjoyed my time in Vigor (honestly more just getting to know you, Diz, and your awesome community) I just don't care about it anymore. I didn't even make it a year, although hearing you talk about it may have been the worst year to try haha. I still can't believe they devoted resources to a PC version and ignored the console playerbase. PC has so many games similar to vigor that are already established or depending on opinion just better that it has baffled me from the first time I heard it. I may circle back to vigor at some point, but for now it is uninstalled as it felt like less and less fun everytime I turned it on. I will always be happy I tried it though cause I met you all though so that's nice.

To be honost, i Don't know why snodekt has open exits anyway...its the same map so i made sense withe the locked exits.
Map after death helps alot against teamers 👍.

You say about the locked exits. Locked exits were not part of the game to start with, they have come in over time. Also the fact of having them in is not the issue, it is the communication from the Devs confirming that they were known issues and then taking them out, then bringing them back again. They just needed to be like - this is change!
Outlanders like transparency and this goes a long way. Like I said in the video, if the Devs told the community that PC was on the table, then they would have been happy - it didn't need to come out the next season, they would have just been happy with knowing it was on the cards, even it was going to take years to come.

@@TheVigorMonster I know and I feel it too. I'm sad as I want to be positive, I have always tried to stay positive, but I wanted a chance to share my concerns with everyone too.
From my own experience the devs ignored constructive criticisms from their most loyal players so far. They ask people to post their experiences with bugs in their official Facebook group but when I've done so the devs have never even replied to me.
This is sad to hear. Why reach out and ask for feedback if they don't even acknowledge it? All I could say about this, is that the team have lost 2 CMs, so this means that communication with the Community may be affected, as there is not enough time in the day to do 3 peoples tasks. Its not an excuse, but may explain it, but it does depend on the time frame you are refering to.

@TinyOnline I commented on a post this season specifically asking for sound bugs they can fix. I told them there is music that plays when you start an encounter on the new map even if you have the music turned off. They never replied and the bug is still there to my knowledge.
@@SpiritBox_ Yes that bug is still there and yeah, I shared that on the video. It seems a little silly on its own, but it's annoying and not the first time this type of bug has happened. When we got Bridges, it had the same music bug for ages. I hope it gets fixed soon as even though not game breaking, it is an unnecessary bug.

Vigor has way too many issues to fix. The weapon balance has become a joke, rifles with no cross hairs and white weapons which have more expensive ammo than gold weapons. The amount of XP needed to get from level 49 to 50 used to be about 83,000 and now it's over 200,000. I've not even finished the last few seasons as it's too much of a grind. I finished my shelter years ago as a lot of people have and there's no reason to keep playing other than to finish the season which has now become a massive chore. If they did add something to the shelter it would have to be a completely new resource otherwise you'd just use up all of the stuff you've got in the shelter now. The game needs stripping back to basics, lose the portables, armour plates and all of the other crap which doesn't exist in real life. It's no wonder new players don't stick with the game when you have teams of sweats hunting them down from the off, the games become more of a battle royale, and a lot of the sweats just leave when nobody is left to kill. The whole cheating thing was never dealt with properly, people blatantly cheating with cronus devices or running two or three other players in the same round, I know someone who used to play three xbox's at the same time. Devs would fix one bug and add two more. I could go on and on.

The last season and this one, I will not complete the BP for once as I refuse to level up with crowns as this is what they want us all to do - I'm not doing it anymore. Less than 2 years ago I had always finished the battle passes, even as a casual player, so it shows how much it has increased. Like you said 'I could go on and on'.

@TinyOnline the whole thing has become a cash grab at this point. It's a full time job if you want to finish the battle pass without buying it. I get that people want to customise their characters but the cost of everything in the store is ridiculous, I rarely see anyone running around with the latest outfits or weapon skins. Removing the legacy seasons was another bad idea. Does the game need anymore weapons, fix what we have now before adding more. The game needs the bugs fixing, shelter upgrades and maybe a more urban map.

The xp grind is what killed the game for me and looks like going to kill the game as a whole. 5 million up is absolutely insane.... Bye bye vigor I was gonna give you another run, but for what to not finish the battle pass. I'll save my time and money....

IMO vigor went downhill when they simply slowed the game down. Sprint reload got removed, okay cool because new players dont know how to do it. Then they removed the setting (performance mode) no idea why. Then they removed the ability to regain stamina while moving. They messed with the guns, they messed with the bugle, removed crosshairs for the rifles.
I used to play this almost everyday... season 20 they ruined the game for me. Goodbye Vigor
Thank you for sharing this and you are right. Many have complained about the game slowly down, but yet some have also praised it as it is like the old days. I feel on its own it would have been fine as changes aren't always bad, but with the bugs and glitches, it has made it unpleasant for a play style and therefore made those players move on

Thanks for your message. I can say now, as it's just after the Dev stream, where they confirmed this. Console Crossplay is due in Season 21, but will not start immediately! They plan for it to be active in January 2025, but it depends on the technical side.
Oh, so now people can talk about what many have already said and have been combated by fanboidom all the way. Incompetence and ignorance to any constructive criticism is what springs to mind about the dev team of Vigor. With Every dev dairy deflecting any real input to try to give the game life and just pandering to will you add moustaches and more pants and shirts(sarcasm but not far from the truth). The game has lacked content fullstop with a circle of death revolving around mechanics being implemented and making the game more frustrating to play along with what just seem like broken promises.
I criticised this game through frustration of seeing the potential that this game could be something great, but it's just been squashed by devs that dare to dream or listen, it seems. Unless they've had their hands tied by higher-ups, then I apologise. But again, this is where transparency to the player base would of helped. I would have played money for more interesting content p.o.i's and activities, or different game modes in Vigot, but now it's this far down the track with more games out there that have better things and replayability for myself I've moved on. I wish you guys(vigor and the players) good luck, and I hope all your games are good ones✌️

Speaking from an old console player & PC player, Vigor just feels abandoned. The discord mods barring Tobias are absent at best, draconian and opaque at worst. The game is barely populated because of mostly cheaters which the devs just seem to not care about? It's been an abysmal launch, and the dev team hand-waving away concerns with content and cheaters with pleasantries and borderline lies, frankly, I hope the game dies. The way the PC launch has gone, and the devs tone and attitude towards the (at least PC) playerbase deserves nothing less than massive failure as far as I'm concerned.

If there was a massive cultural shift in the dev team about interacting with the playerbase, cleaning up the cheating situation on PC, and actually engaging with the community, yeah, I can see it getting a second wind. People seldom change though, so I feel it's a case of shitting in one hand and hoping for change in the other, and I'm sure we both know which is going to fill up faster. As to the failure, I think the dev team is simply reaping what they've sown. Bringing Tobias on was the one good call I've seen the devs make. Forsythia was god awful at her role, as is the other mod I saw in the discord (some furry from germany is all I recall), past that, seldom little communication for the PC playerbase, and constant, bordering on comical, fuck-ups & following radio silence from the devs since the released into CBT/Paid Beta.

I dont really like this game bc i hate the gameplay, i mean the 3° person shooter online games have it a bad gameplay, is like, the players thanks to the 3° person view have to be behing a cobert, kissing walls, trees, and rocks for even minutes after someone have balls to end with that. I play bc is the only one extration shooter in console.
Yes you are right. I believe on S20 release the Consumable Plans were not on any platform in store and then PC was fixed very quickly, with a few weeks later the PS side was fixed too. Xbox and Switch have had all season without the Consumable Plans, relying on the Feature Store rotation to full fill the demand.
I am hearing more everyday confirming that they aren't completing the Pass this season and I don't think I've ever heard anything positive about the high XP yet.
Vigor has always been 3rd person and I've got used to it, but I do understand that there is a demand for 1st person.
