Thanks a lot for this tutorials , i just started editing airports and i am so confused but your videos help a lot , i found other videos but not as detailed as yours , sorry fo my english .
You are the best SDK tutorial person in the world! You're even so genius on using the real color palette from real life! And that Krita software was amazing! Thanks for helping me build my airport! I've watched some of your other videos, definitely the best out there. I'm just wondering if you know how to add ILS/RNAV etc. to MSFS, I'm trying to create an airport with this, but there is no video about it so far, and all of the written information is either super outdated or makes 0 sense. Also, a video would be much better for this type of coding stuff, just wondering.
@@myphysicalworld3958 Yeah this was the one I was mentioning because it is literally the only video on UA-cam about ILS (actually only video on youtube about ANY nav in SDK at least that I know). I know it is kind of not in your sphere of SDK though because you're more of the artist type and builder, these navigation stuff need to be hard coded into the XML. Also, I posted the comment above before I managed to get this working, so thanks for the helpful video because it worked! The Krita software was amazing. Also, the custom painted lines tutorial that you gave was also pretty useful but getting the gimp thing to work took like 5 hours but there was no result. I used another video (Benny Boy) where they used Nvidia texture exporter (very useful). It converts the file from dds to png and then I used Krita to create the texture file I wanted. I realized that your video, only mentions using the normal line (default) as the one for the taxiway. But, a yellow taxi line outlined with black lines (very common nowadays) doesn't work with the default, so after a bit of searching, I found someone used the Edge Service Line Dashed line to create this and works amazing!
Great video, thanks for your easy to understand tutorials. I just subscribed. I have just built my first ever airport (actual two airports). All looks great except I cannot figure out how to get my custom text to show up - It is on a bush airstrip in BC Canada (where I live) and the runway and polygon parking spots are Ground texture. I want to have a number on the parking spot like - 1, 2, 3, etc. - but they are not showing up. I am stumped.
Thank you. Double check image size and format. Check priority. Many things can cause it not to show. I guess you need to be more specific as to what you have done at this point.
Hi, Really tutorials are precise and very easy to reproduce, congratulations. I have a question at 20'30 of the video you aprles of a specific font for airports, can you tell me which one please? Thanks in advance and congratulations again.
If I am understanding the question correctly, I created a folder called 5a1-materials inside the packagesources folder of the project AND created an assetgroup for the materials. This video ua-cam.com/video/7swpLtl66dk/v-deo.html shows how to make a materialLib assetgroup....about the 3 minute mark.
Thank you for your tutorials! I´m finally able to make custom stuff in msfs thanks to your vids! I would like to ask you for your help/opinion on how to make custom puddles in msfs, something like this ua-cam.com/video/oTGR9fOpVgw/v-deo.html, any idea on how one would go about this? The wet apron in msfs only lasts for seconds. Feel free to disregard my question if you find it to be irrelevant.

So glad you find them useful....mine are sometimes long and boring, but I try to be as detailed as possible. Thank you for watching!
ive also noticed if you click "load the .BGL twice, it will bring the green lines down flat with the surface. just a thing i do every time i load in.😉
Thanks!!! Excelent is tutorial!
You are welcome. Thank you for watching!

Haha. Thank you for the kind words. Flying Theston did a short video on ILS. I have not done one....YET.

I used Ariel Bold on this one.
@@myphysicalworld3958 Ok, but you are talking about a font used in airports, do you know it?
@@thierryfonade39 there are many different fonts used. There are no real standards...just just have to match as close as possible.
34:14 how do I create the textures folder you did to select like you did here, nothing is populated in the menu for me, thanks

So glad you found them useful! I'll have to do some research on that.
