2:52 The blue Bedford Van... my pops had one, a ‘62! Thing was geared so low that it would chug along by itself. Dad, being the giant he was, used to slide the door open on a grade.. pretending to strain pushing it and the look on the faces of passersby was GOLD!

Wow 👍🏻 fabulous video , the 60’s & 70’s are my favourites . Did I see a couple of ice cream trucks near the beginning ? Anyone who is lucky enough to still own a vehicle like one of these is sitting on a gold mine 😃 especially as everything retro is so hip right now .

Awesome video/pictures, of some incredible RVs, campers etc, when you see the creativity as to how some of these are made omg.
Back in the late 1970s, my dad bought an early 1970's motor home... it was yellow... my dad called it The Ugly Duck. It was sure an ugly thing...flat front, no aerodynamics in the design, but the interior was nice, it had a table the could drop down and the benches slide together for a bed, and then in the back there was a large bed and another small bed over that. It had a sink, cooktop and fridge and a small bathroom with a toilet and shower. Went on some fun trips in that Ugly Duck.

@@JimWaltz It*s tempting, first it*s a 4 cylinder, air cooled volkswagen camper, it gives better gas mileage, in comparison to an RV, I rather have the camper, I always can put an airhorn or a truck horn.

Anybody remember the Dodge Daystar class A motor home? They only made 16 or 17 of them back in the late 70s. Well I know where one is sitting unrestored. It looks to be in very restorable condition.

Holy shit these look strange most are cool enough that I have to wonder why they aren't still making them . To be fair two or three do look like a horse trailer is humping a pickup but all in all I find most of them very charming.
they dont make them like that anymore because people these days are more worried about fuel economy and safety than they are style. I love these high style rv's though wish I could find even ONE to restore!!!
I've seen these things sell for big money at auctions. The big GMC sold for three million dollars at Barret Jackson.

I think it was called a ranger it was a kit attached to saloon car.
@@raychambers3646 Yes it was. Cant remember the name of the company that made it but they specialised in making motor-homes on Ford chassis (particularly the Cortina and the Sierra cars. They also sold kit cars, again largely based on Ford running gear.
