My old manual can opener has a bottle opener I use to release the vacuum of glass jars. The metal lid's center pops up and then it's easy to twist off the cap.
Thank you for this direct, concise video with the links. I listed 3 that I am going to purchase today. I'm copying your link and sending it to friends who are in the same boat. Cheers and Happy Holidays
My Kitchen Mama opener works on pop top cans, too! No sharp edges or lip for food to hide behind or cut my rubber scraper. My 😺🐈 appreciate every morsel and less rinsing before the recycle bin! me: hEDS with hand/arm pain & reduced strength
I personally have crippled hands as well as wrists so the jar opener that has different sizes didn’t work for me. I ended up hurting my wrist trying to use it so I just wanted to make people aware if they also have wrist issues. I have a big electric jar opener that takes up counter space but I’m going to get the small one you suggested since it can go with me if I need it. I had tried a couple that were terrible. Need to get that knife. Thank you.
After some research I bought myself a plumbing tool called “belt wrench”. Works like magic for opening jars. Very comfortable handle. Not limited to specific lid diameters. For ultimate comfort and safety I actually bought a second one for holding the jar while twisting the lid. I might probably start a jar opening business now 🤔 … Seriously, belt wrench is an awesome tool. Highly recommend 👍
This video almost brought me to tears. I have radiation brachial plexus neuropathy. I’ve been struggling with my hand for over a year and have resigned myself to not being able to do a lot of tasks. My question is how do I find a good occupational therapist? What questions do I need to ask?
I'm so glad it was helpful! As far a good OT, I recommend reaching out to your PCP or a hand specialist to see if they have any recommendations for OT's in your area.
Two requests: Could you add a link to purchase the folding stool please. The other thing... I have trouble tightening and removing the blender base on my large Oster Pro 1200 (about 1cm diameter base). Suggestions?
Bracing can really help with supporting the joint during activity. I love my Push MetaGrip thumb brace for similar issue. I also like a good handle design on kitchen tools like the OXO Good Grip series of products.
So you're lucky enough not to NEED adaptive or ergonomic items. How nice for you. Why are you watching these videos then? Nobody's making you. I mean, are you duct-taped to a chair and being forced to watch?
This was very informative. Newly diagnosed RA. It’s a new world for me and your video will save me months and years of frustration. Thank you.

That look when you realize you're closing the jar while demonstrating how to open it one handed lol.

Which one specifically did you buy and where ? I googled this device and numerous come up at different price points and quality levels.
@@msr1116 I bought the cheapest yellow plastic one. Sturdy enough and doesn’t look too brutal. Purchased online (don’t remember which shop exactly)

What is the name of the device that is used to pots/pans in place in order to remove the food from the pot/pan? I’ve been looking for it everywhere
Is there a link, too, for the bag clips to use instead of twist ties? I didn’t see it below. Appreciate the many hints! Thanks, Linda
Sure!

Sorry, can't find the inexpensive Dycern rolls you mentioned. If that link is out of date, has anyone else perhaps found a source?
Thank you Equip Me OT!
You’re welcome!
Can you do this for hair tool. Hair curler
Yes, I’ve been trialing with a few different products to see which one I like and how to set it up.
Wow yay!!!
I bought bar b q scissors, supposed to cut thru bones and so forth, use it for chopping.
Me too.
I HAVE ONE OF THOSE ROCKER KNIVS
Hi. Do you have a listing, or at least a brand or height for the stool? It's not mentioned at all on the website.
This is a different one then the video, but it’s 18” high and I’ve used them recently for a client and the quality was good.

@@EquipMeOT Thank you. Hubby has a back injury (Thanks, US Navy!) and he's the main cook in our family. He needs one of these.

I have found a few products recently that work for those types of bottles. Here's a link to my current favorite.

Numbness, weakness fatigue...PAIN!
Paid to push their product.
I do not accept any financial support from any product I demonstrate. I choose based on my experience and what has worked for my clients in the past.
