    This issue is not talked about enough! Many of us have dexterity problems without obesity. surgery or other disabilities.I was able to manage fine until I had shoulder surgery. @@EquipMeOT Want the best? Get a garden sprayer and heat the end to curve it and then adjust the sprayer nozzle to clean your butt first, in Asia they all use a sprayer (lived there for 5 yrs) and you will find it heals hemorrhoids super fast and keeps them healed, and it is the best feeling and cleaning you will ever find, and you use alot less toilet paper as well. Trust me, try it once and you will be hooked for life!

      @@privatsitazen I bought the one called Juvo. I got it on Amazon. It has a button on the top of the handle
      and a longer one on the handle. They both lock the paper in place. It has 2 paddle like grippers to hold the paper once you lock the device. It’s very easy to clean it off with warm water and liquid soap.

    I have just had my dominant shoulder operated on, while my other hand is keen to assist, I have been surprised at how differently it handled 'activities'. I can see the thought that has gone into these aids, which happily for me, I have not yet needed. The spinal operation highway has already been travelled now the rotator cuff rebuild pathway is being explored. Thank goodness for women who can cover touchy subjects with such a clear, 'let us get this sorted attitude'. I need to get sorted, it is only day 6, and I am probably doing more that I should, but I now live alone and must avoid the mantrap of letting thing overwhelm me. You are a great inspiration, even if things deteriorate, there are solutions to bring them back from the brink of disaster without drama.

    I would also recommend a toilet-mounted bidet! For around $50, you can get one that attaches to a water line and has variable adjustments and pressures so that you wash away waste and get completely clean every time, saving a ton of paper. You might want one of these to use with a wash cloth for drying afterward. I will never not have a real bidet again! It eliminates urinary tract infections from not getting clean.

    • @lisagd22
      @lisagd22 Рік тому +1

      By the time I thought about getting one, there wasn't enough time before my shoulder surgery to get one and install it. One thing that made me hesitate is that the water line that it would hook to is on the same side as that shoulder, so I assume the controls would be on that side too, which would defeat the purpose.

Other than handle prob, the blue one has been OK. I do a little dif when using. I just wrap enough toilet paper to use a few times in one sitting. Tearing off as I wipe. Awesome video and instructions. Question: Do you still need to wipe if using the hand held bidet? What about drying yourself, or any residue on body?

      I find that a light pat down after spraying will dry things quick otherwise you can sit and drop dry for a minute.

      In my experience, most people release the toilet paper while seated. Typically in the front with legs seperated.

    Lindsay, I have a 6year old grandchild who, due to a genetic neuro-development disorder, struggles a bit with dexterity. What do you think about her use of one of these products?

      Definitely a possibility. It takes some practice and possibly a modification or 2. I would probably start with the Freedom wand because of the length adjustment potential since a kiddo will not need quite as much length as an adult.
