That Air Canada 787-9 Dreamliner landing at 14:15 has my heart...never seen anything so gentle
16:47 also...goodness
17:37 guess i have a soft spot for Dreamliners
787s are amazing!
@@cyrildarku8689 honestly they had the softer landing
people tend to shit on the toothpaste livery but it really shines in the snow
This has to be one of the best winter plane spotting vids ever, FANTASTIC camera work, loved the closeups of the geese too!!!
Thank you ☺
And the geese didn’t need any deicing!
I can see passengers and crew, lol. Amazing!!
@@She-travels thank you
This certainly is an excellent video. If you want more snowy planes check out Casey Planespotting at Salzburg, it's almost as good and there's more falling snow but there is no ATC. ua-cam.com/video/CzQSr7TXzSs/v-deo.html
7:36 I just loved how the bright green anti ice liquid fades away to white while accelerating, that was amazing.
Agreed!
Never fade away, its the angle of the camera that makes it look that way
Coyote is injured, left back leg. And birds flying ...
Beautifully captured video. Thank you very much. :)
Air canada rouge 767 from Toronto just fell to the ground. Ouch
Yeah, ouch indeed
Suspension test. Damn!
kinda looks like the other pilot tried to intervene at the last second but it was a little too late. maybe a new pilot to the 767?
Yeah that made me react out loud, "yikes"
that was a text book landing ,in bad weather u put em down fast.
16:45 softer landing ever...great captain!
5:04 damn, that hard landing tho
youre right but I thought it would bounce but it stayed right on the ground
Damn that was hard. On purpose due to conditions at all?? [edit] Wait, then I saw rest of the video. :)
Even though this video is almost a year old now, this is one of the best planet spotting videos I've come crossed so far. Maybe it's just the perfect setting. The time of day is good, the visibility and the snow cover really make the plane colors pop beautifully. It was also a special treat to see that Convair 340 as well.
Thanks for not ruining it with music. The atc communications are great.
4:28 poor old Wile E. Coyote has a bad leg
Yeah 😔
Is there a wildlife rescue in Vancouver? Coyote would be good at bird control. If any birds could survive this weather.
sad :(
@@hs7921 There are probably 10000 coyotes in the surrounding wilderness those animals are a big problem being in protected environments has caused overpopulation they will kill and eat anything do not feel sorry for them. Not a dog.
Daniel LeClare yep in my state Michigan were able to hunt them year round as long as at night, they’re a big problem and over populating, nothing like yote hunting with night vision goggles, they’ll eat your little dog or cat without hesitation, if like to see all these softies pets get snatched by one then see how they feel about them, that’s why I have a big dog to protect my land.
11:31 snow intaked, awesome!
Wow, this has to be one of the cleanest snow plane spotting videos I have come across. Very nice shots of the wild life and great camerawork overall.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the episode!
24:56 - smoothest landing ever?
Possibly
Like falling onto a bed of feathers.
Damn. What a landing by a fellow colleague.
The first Air Canada was pretty darn smooth also
@@tomdavis3038 Yup, better than any of my landings to be fair.
No one could accuse you of being a fairweather planespotter, ET. You're out there even when it's pretty harsh. Always appreciate the YVR wildlife (looks like our coyote friend has a lame leg?); and the focus on YVR's support workers (de-icing and snow removal teams) - neither of those jobs look easy. One of those Convair CV-340's (C-GKFF) is over 66 years old! Amazing she's still in service. Great video, as always, ET!
thanks bro :D. yeah I'm not sure whats up with him :(. agreed they are working hard out there. I agree, its unbelievable that the still do weekly flights
5:13 man that hard landing tho
14:23 that's awesome you can see the reverse thrust being activated.
Those Canadian pilots are beasts. They laugh at our weather in the states. Phenomenal flying
Your captured footage is so satisfying to watch. Chapeau! One question though, was the wind too strong for your microphone's 'dead cat'?
Thank you! Sometimes it was yes.
Bruh it’s a simulator

i certainly know how it is filming in these conditions... well done!! I loved the Convair appearances as well...
Many thanks bro 😁 same here love seeing those birds
Hope you enjoy this special edition of plane spotting 😁. I apologize for any shaky or sudden movements, it was fairly cold for my fingers and my tripod fluid head. 😋 Cheers
thank you, :D
*Snowy* condition was even smoother than a regular condition
Best snowy spotting ever! Thank you for the long hard work. You're the best of the planespotting community!
@@oschot58 thank you 😁
That was great to watch! It was funny seeing the Sunwing plane covered in snow!
18:47 & 25:16 Butter landing! The tilted landing gears makes it so satisfying to watch!
They are the butter machines!!
Amazing how these pilots so elegantly take off and land these beautiful birds in any kind of weather.
Especially considering its a simulator.
where I live we don't get this much snow. TBH it's ice seeing that first 777 land just puts a bright smile on my face it's so cool.
Is this a Steven Spielberg production? Just wow!!! Congratulations, this video is amazing!!!
Thank you 😁
I like the taxing, inbound, wild Coyote!
I have flown into Vancouver many, many times over my career of 45 years and your photography is SPECTACULAR! Thank you for sharing this:-)
Glad you enjoyed!
wow well caught winter ops on camera. Love the presence of the Convair props !
Thank you
Some of the softest landings I’ve ever watched
Almost like drag racing down the runway by yourself just to take off. The pilots have balls of steel.
Enjoyed this video, thanks! I really liked the snow geese too, nice to see some high wing aircraft.
Glad you enjoyed
It is so refreshing to see so much cold and snow everywhere. It is 2023 August and the temperature has been over 100F for over 2 months in South Texas. Wish I was there.
I would never thought I'd see the day when I'm watching a video of plane taking off and arriving LOL
Air China touchdown 23:15 was so graceful those pilots are on another level indeed. Great video in winter, all angles, audio is professional plus variety in there, the geese, coyote etc
Thank you 😁
Wow!You can just see a cute dog running around!
Man il fly from anywhere any time if your on station with your camera giving me the green light. you are the best.
I appreciate it!
The entire video is gorgeous, but the capture at 3:02-3:55 is just stunning! When the scene changed after liftoff from the airport to the sky? WOW
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video again man nice job and keep that uploads👍
Thank you, more to come
Twelve years in a JET-A truck at YVR. Kelowna Convairs during snow conditions were "interesting". Nice to see KFF. This video is a masterpiece.
OMG i forgot all about this channel but then found your channel in my sub list, ive been watching ur videos ALL afternoon
Thank you 😁
14:22 smooth like butter!
These shots are amazing! The steam created by the engines make them look even more beautiful. Great job!
thank you, agreed
Brilliant footage well done you must been freezing 🥶
Proper clothing 👌
I always wonder about the sun wing passengers coming back from vacation destinations so hot and as soon as they step out get hit by the completely opposite weather. LOL
Agreed
5:10 - The whole airport: “OUUU” 😬
Lol
even heavier than a ryanair landing
Yep not much flare there
Come on it’s not too bad. Look at the gear, it’s not even using full suspension on impact
That first landing was BEAUTIFUL!
Agreed
Right!!
You can see that one of the Props of the Air Canada Q400 had snow! Beautiful vid!
so COOL ... another Video that flashed me so much !!!
Nice going here mate, that's dedication to say it looks cold is an understatement but you produced some incredible vision, lots to like!
Many thanks bro, glad you enjoyed 😁
0:56 one of the perfect landings I have ever seen, Kudos to Pilots
@@joshualucas it was a smooth/ butter landing ; the wheels didn’t touch the ground hard
@@SS-eu2ef if you want to see smooth landing check 18:45, myth says that passengers believe that they are still in the air.......
Thank for for the ultra wide, I appreciate it
The visual is stunning..so smooth, so sharp..also the audio very2 satisfying..its like being there myself..tq nice job
24:57 This is wath i call ..... A Perfect Landing, just perfection !
Agreed 👌
love these historical documentaries
I just realized, parts of engine compartment also open up while landing !
so cool
It is the reverse thrust opening!
I've just discovered how satisfying it looks when the jets blow the snow in a big vortex behind them when landing and taking off. Thank you for this
Agreed, winter spotting is definitely the best.
@@eyetrapper Yeah, it does seem cool!
I want to try spotting one day. I mean I can't do it now bc I'm only 15 and don't have the resources to do it lol
would you have any advice for someone who wants to try it?
@Wut Guy Creations Great to hear you want to get into spotting. If you don't have a camera already, save up for one and look at flight tracking apps to familiarize the types of routes and aircraft that are at your airport. Knowledge of planes is one part to becoming a plane spotter.
Actually ET the green stuff is Type IV Anti-icing fluid. Deicing fluid would be orange color. Deicing fluid removes contamination and Anti-icing fluid protects the against precipitations. Cheers.
Correct!
I really do like the camera movement. I watched other plane spotting vids and they don't know how to work the camera like you. You are talented.
Thank you 😁
the fact this is only uploaded in 1080p60, and STILL looks INCREDIBLE, is probably a testament to how good this camera setup is. RX10 IV doesn't even look like cinema camera O.O
Haha, glad you enjoyed the video
Beautiful landing Air Canada.
11:55 those BIG engines!
Wow! Snow really makes everything better. + the heavy aircraft, WoW!
Agreed 100%
I liked those VFR geese doing a touch and go at the end.
Dude I came across your channel today. This quality is absolutely stunning.
Thanks bro! I appreciate it. Your model work is mighty fine man.
eye trapper thanks buddy!
That rouge landing at 5 min was like he was coming down on an aircraft carrier, get er down quick.
Agreed lol
Welcome to Canada!!!! BAM!!!!
Amazing plane spotting snowy. I liked seeing the flock of canadian geese..!!!
Thank you
Looks cool
This in 4K would have been STUNNING
It was recorded in 4k but it would be to much to export and upload in 4k
@@eyetrapper such a shame! But still an amazing vid bud, keep up the good work! Cheers from France
@@eagleonefr many thanks! Maybe this winter I will provide a 4K snow video 😉
So cool how the type IV fluid blows off the wings with all the snow/ice at just the right speed to give a clean wing right as it starts flying
Dude!! Amazing catch of the china Southern man!! at 16:49 😍😍
So satisfying!! ❤️ Keep on uploading the videos!! Much love!!🙌🏻♥️
13:24 holy shit that uke/tug was hauling ass!! O.o
One of the most beautiful video's on this subject i've seen.
Glad you enjoyed!
4:23 Aviation and Animal planet all wrapped in one...Love it.
It's cold enough, with the snow and the de-icing, but the dark clouds, seem to make it look much colder.

Hello student pilots, today we are going to learn about how to land a plane.
How not to: 5:09
How to: 25:16
Special thanks to #eyetrapper for allowing us to use their material.
Class adjourned.
agreed
@SunLi Tsong look closely
The bottom fell out on the first one, possible downdraft. While the second had the wind working with him or her?
Well, that 5:09 had "rouge" written all over it so... 😂
I cannot make out the difference
Super video what a well organised Airport in extreme conditions
WOOOOOOW I really enjoyed watching and listening plus it was great you also included the control tower communication .I have to subscribe now .
Glad you enjoyed!
For sure, this is the best winter spotting in the web so far ! Including the clear voice ATC and the sceneries with the animals living there. The planes are so sharp and clear to see despite the weather condition. The effective width seems more than 16:9 and looks like a film in theater. Thanks also for sharing with us on your channel some details of your equipments, software and experience.
Many thanks 😁
11:37 Snow-Wing :D This is amazing, great work, really inspiring!
😄 thank you
6:26 the wild coyote was chillin lol
It is amazing that some of the larger jets still want to take off with snow on their wings and fuselage.
i thought this was in 4K. the quality on this video is insane, not to mention the incredible camerawork. really well done!
this is stunningly put together, seriously. The ATC in the background and real zoomed in closeups, and the filming of random ground equipment, really makes it feel like im watching some minature model in action. truly brilliant atmopshere. thank you so much for this video!
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers!

8:03 That shot was mesmerizing!
:D indeed
This video is just amazing! Please give us more of your work 😍
Thank you, more to come
Air Canada near the end gave me chills
Awesome how you managed to capture the whole snowy winter airport vibe, not only takeoffs and arrivals that get boring sometimes. You got aircraft, buildings, wildlife, deicing, ground support. Plus your camera is amazing. Cheers from Seattle!
Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video 👌
5:00 what a hard landing, but a good video
Thank you, agreed
Haha true. Must have been an interesting discussion in the cockpit.
Firm landing, not a hard landing
It's to break up the snow.

Beautiful!
J'aime ces 350 avec le masque de raton-laveur!
Got to love those A350 with their raccoon masks!
Winter wonderland. On of the most breathtaking plane spotting video
thank you :D
Aircraft is the best thing mankind has ever made. The elegance of this machine is unmatched.
THANK YOU for going outside in the c-c-c-cold for us!!! This is great stuff. That Embraer taking off with the fluorescent green slats getting buffed clean by the airstream was so great! And that poor coyote. Poor guy. Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed!
What an awesome visual contrast. Big beautiful birds dropping out of the atmosphere against the backdrop of an angry grey stormy winter sky and touching down on an icy runway lined by the bright snowy white ground. You picked a great day for plane spotting. Sorry for your cold hands but thanks for enduring the elements.
Many thanks, all worth it
Really pretty presentation, Trapper. It's that Pacific Northwest light making really special. Good eye, man. This one was really special. Oh, and thanks for showing love to Brother Coyote and the snow geese.
Thanks bud, glad you enjoyed 😁
that is some smooth ass landings sheesh
Beautiful soft landing by the Air Canada pilot. Thrust reversers getting deployed also looked cool
Wow this was the best snowy planespotting video I had witnessed! You did such an amazing job capturing those moments. You received lots of snow at YVR and I am glad you were there that day. The snow effect was fantastic, along with other special footages of the wild and the birds. This compilation is 100% complete!!
Many thanks bro, glad you enjoyed. Agreed, perfect day
Great vantage point, fantastic camera work, amazing winter’s day, and those 787s are landing like… wait for it… a dream!
Glad you enjoyed the video 👌
Wow, very well filmed and super quality video. Great job ;)
Thank you!
a perfect lullaby
What is that "green/neon colours" on the wings? Well, that is De-icing fluid. It's made to melt ice and snow. If you'd like to know more, there is info and links in the description.
eye trapper Thanks!
I was surprised that there was still some on the wings after a WestJet flight from Halifax to Toronto.
