Even though this video is almost a year old now, this is one of the best planet spotting videos I've come crossed so far. Maybe it's just the perfect setting. The time of day is good, the visibility and the snow cover really make the plane colors pop beautifully. It was also a special treat to see that Convair 340 as well.

No one could accuse you of being a fairweather planespotter, ET. You're out there even when it's pretty harsh. Always appreciate the YVR wildlife (looks like our coyote friend has a lame leg?); and the focus on YVR's support workers (de-icing and snow removal teams) - neither of those jobs look easy. One of those Convair CV-340's (C-GKFF) is over 66 years old! Amazing she's still in service. Great video, as always, ET!

There is nothing less usefull in aviation than the runway behind you, so I guess this was absolutely on purpose. Landing distance is increased significantly in such conditions, so it´s much more important to get the plane down as soon as possible than trying to break the record for the softest possible landing. There would probably not much time to be proud of, if you overshoot the runway.

I've been plane spotting at YVR since 1962 and have taken many photos and videos myself, however, your video is the best I've ever seen from YVR. Great job!

I'm watching the clip at 1:34 and I honestly can't tell if its real or not... modern flight sims look so good, that a real clip looks like a game to me haha

That is actually true, especially the color threw me off there aswell, it looks too clean to be real (if you know what I mean)

I sometimes consider myself quite lucky for haven´t ever seen "live" snow, and the mess (and costs) it causes. I've only seen snow in movies and pics. I am 45, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Up the Argies!

Really pretty presentation, Trapper. It's that Pacific Northwest light making really special. Good eye, man. This one was really special. Oh, and thanks for showing love to Brother Coyote and the snow geese.

Wow, this is so spectacular! What makes it even awesome is the color contrast between the sky and the snow!
