    I agree! I lost weight initially but then I was having a ton of butter in my coffee and whipped cream and such and I gained the weight back. As soon as I cut that stuff back out, I lost even more weight than when I first went Keto. Calories add up really quickly! And it's easy to get fat naturally in the foods you're eating through meat etc.

    I heard all the "excuses" on a fat carnivore diet if you don't loose weight and in the end it is the clients fault. Excuses from: first you need to heal, carnivore is not a weightless diet, maybe you gained muscle, just eat more fat (is good for your hormones and thyroid, and only with the fat what is fuel and low protein you can loose weight). I waisted over a year. In the mean time I saw the protein content and didn't want to believe it, but it works. Always happy with all your content THNX!

    I can’t eat a meal before working out at the gym, but I need something. I don’t eat fake protein shakes. I’m allergic to milk. So my pre workout is a cup of bone broth with a tablespoon of butter and MCT oil. This gives me the energy to push through a hard workout. Without it, I get dizzy and light headed at the gym. Can’t workout as hard, and am wrecked afterwards for most of the day.

    Hi from Aus. I was one of those people overeating keto. Honestly I thought I’d read some good resources prior to finding you but nothing changed until I started following the macros on your calculator. I was shocked to see how much I was overeating gosh. Now 2 weeks into refining the macros and slipping in some PSMF, most of my inflammation is gone and can quite comfortably exercise AND recover better and faster than before. I think they say ‘Comfortably stuffed’ which is hard to decide for many people. I think the reasoning behind that, similar to ‘priming’ is because the people coming straight into keto/carnivore are used to always eating for their previous many decades so constantly on the hunt for food. They almost need to feel sick-full for 10-20 minutes after a meal to wake them up to realize what full actually feels like when using protein & fat only.

    • @MariaEmmerich
      @MariaEmmerich  8 місяців тому +5

      I get that. But it is an extremely problematic suggestion considering the massive rates of obesity and food addiction in this country. There is no way to quantify "comfortably stuffed." What is comfortably stuffed to me might not look the same to you and we all have very different needs. If weight loss or healing are goals we always suggest prioritizing protein and macro tracking 💪

    So excited to listen to this video. Just watched and learned about FSMF the other day, as I was curious. Have been eating a lot of butter which was fine for awhile, cause I started carnivore underweight, lean and fit, and post menopausal, to fix symptoms like no sleep and hot flashes. Wanted desperately to gain muscle mass but recently after a year and a half, started feeling fat gain, as well. Did FSMF yesterday and woke up already feeling lean again. So glad I circled back to you and watched your FSMF video with you and hubby. Have watched Bronson before and love him too. I feel there's more light at the end of this tunnel. I like being super lean with muscle and no flab. Had chubby days in my youth, UGH. I'm 60 and like feeling youthful. THANK YOU!!! ALOHA!!

I was also recently diagnosed with CIRS - the brain fog is real so that may have been why I was having trouble understanding. I was on a program called optavia for over a year. I lost over 100 lbs doing that program. Eating every 3 hours of their product 5 times a day and one lean and green meal a day. Which consist of 4 to 7 grams of lean meat and 3 servings of veggies.
    I stopped the program a month ago because I wanted to stop eating prepackaged bio engineered food, and try carnivore.
    I’ve been eating the BBBE everyday and I just run to the bathroom right after every meal.
    I seen other videos saying eat butter eat butter . Ugh that’s not working lol.
    I have 30lbs I want to lose but actually I’m gaining weight. I’m going backwards.
    I seen you on another video with another person saying eat lean meats like Turkey , chicken, fish 3 days a week and then have a fat day.
    I’m gonna try that starting today. 😊
    So should I go back to eating a small amount of vegetables that are low carb as well or not eat any veggies? I heard vegetables are trying to kill us from dr. Chaffee .

      Any "diet" will yield weight loss if the calorie deficit is significant enough. Remember the guy who lost weight eating only Twinkies? It's about prioritizing lean protein so you do not lose precious lean mass as you burn unwanted fat off the body. You can eat a small amount of low carb vegetables if you want and can tolerate them, but you should always prioritize lean animal protein. Protein is the macro goal you want to meet or exceed daily. Fat and carbs are LIMITS. I do not recommend BBBE as it is way too high fat and too low on protein in most cases for sparing lean mass and optimizing fat loss off the body. The more fat you consume, the more you will store for later use :) ua-cam.com/video/mk7kPVdk8JU/v-deo.html

    People should target a monthly weight loss goal that is realistic. For example, a realistic goal for a woman who has 50 pounds to lose would be 4-5 pounds per month. If using PSMF and moderate fat starts peeling the weight off too quickly then that’s a good signal to ease up and eat more fat for a few days (go to maintenance). I think people lose site of the fact that this is a permanent change in eating, not a diet. There’s really no reason to try to drop the weight at an unsafe rate. Be realistic!

    Would love your take on Dr. Jason Fung and how he has cured many people from multiple diseases with fasting, intermittent to extended. I hear so many people say they have felt great fasting and have cured so many issues letting their bodies go into autophagy.

      Prioritize other sources of lean animal protein like seafood, fish, lean beef, egg whites, pork loin, etc
