23 isn't that much better. Having rt GI and still not looking as good as games that don't use rt gi is hilarious. Not to mention the shitty filter they have over the game. It looks hazy regardless of what time of day it is.

You are comparing an at launch (or at least very early) game to a totally finished game. FM7 didn't come with all 900 cars from the start. It like every other Forza game, got a number of its cars later, and included cars that were already available in previous games. Got to love how whatever Forza game is current gets hated on until the next one comes out then suddenly the last ones was awesome. The same thing happens every single time with Forza Horizon games, too, by the way. I'm not saying Forza Motorsport is perfect or that they didn't live up to some of the marketing, but I think the amount of hate it gets is more a matter of it being the cool new thing to trash almost everything that comes. Things can have flaws that will be fixed and still not be complete garbage.
Sound on FM7 is genius...but i like the Graphics from FM8 more. Because there are no Pixel/Staireffects on new Forza8. And for me Colours looks better...because on 7 it looks allways a little bit black&white. I play both only on SeriesX🖖

You re not the only one...less cars...less tracks... I have both installed but I m still leaning towards 7. Motorsport could have been much more. halfbaked like so many games these days
While it's true of how the car sounds more raw and thus sounds better, it is not accurate. This car is quiet and sounds lower pitch IRL due to the turbocharged engine. FM8 does it right in this case but it's not fully there. It sounds more of a Mercedes GT3 car rather than the BMW GTE itself.
In new game They have improved environment but cars quality looks same. For cars They should bring ultra resolution texture pack or something and high quality sound.

@@MoJo-2977 That was an anomaly (and honestly they went too far with that) and everyone did that when jumping from the 7th to the 8th gen. We haven't seen something like this since, GT7 and GTS are pretty much indistinguishable when looking at them.
Minus the flood lights and red/white flags, Kireth showed that at night they do have Neon lights and parties. I wasn't expecting that. Still doesn't change the fact the whole track is still 100% inaccurate
I feel like they used baked lighting on all the cars on previous games, which is why the materials look more shiny, and in some cases some objects don’t reflect on the car. And in the new Forza Motorsport they use real time lighting an shadowing on the car which is why materials look a bit off. And I also think this Forza was a test for the new hardware. I’m sure the new Forza Motorsport in a few years will look jus as good as FM5, with the new Forza physics
The physics model in 8 is far far superior to 7. It's by no means perfect sim quality but it's still an improvement. The track detail is significantly upgraded as well as general PBR material and shaderwork of the cars and interiors. Still though, Gran Turismo is better in so many ways. I suppose they both have their pros and cons at the end of the day.

Gt7 looks better than pretty much any racing game on the market, the only other track racer that can rival it is assetto corsa with mods but you need to,pick up good mods
I think the new Forza Motorsport is a disgrace, the laziness with the sounds and the copy and pasted v12 sounds etc. and the game is an overall disappointment. However, it CLEARLY visually looks far superior to FM7. So I don’t know what planet you lot are on.
I totally agree. However some cars are not up to the standard of other cars… but ultimately it’s about the racing and the physics… and the physics imo are pretty good but the racing can be better… lobbies need to be sorted better. Just copy GT, have a quali session and then sort the drivers into lobbies based on their pace AND safety rating.

They just redid the trees,textures and added more crowds which don't get me wrong, looks pretty good, I like how there is a crap ton of people spectating the area, but the track model itself is objectively still the same model as it was in FM7. That right hand kerb into the Sabine corner is too high and it appears in both games. The trees look fantastic but are they placed as they should? The reason why a lot of people shit on them is because they heavily marketed the game as "Built from the ground up" but in reality most of everything is just a port from FM7 beside the legitimate "Built from the ground up" features like the reworked physics, some features regarding the graphics, and some more trees added to the circuits . GT6 to GT Sport IS a game built from the ground up and what I wanted to see with FM8 is exactly how GT did their reboot. That's why people are upset. It's fine to be a fan of the series and also shit on your favorite series for not doing a good enough job making a proper "Built from the ground up" game. They could have done better with this game.

It is normal for simcades to have low accuracy tracks. GT7 also has low-quality scan of Nordschleife with absolutely smooth road surface.
