I'm also blond but my beard have a lighter shade, that combine with bald spots,

There is a mad stereotype out there that blondes can’t grow beards, makes sense a little considering it’s lighter therefore harder to fill in but.. once they do fill in they become the envy of even the darkest of beards ;)

Watching this video made me start my beard journey nearly 1 year ago (Oct 15) and I started with a patchy beard. Now nearly 11 months later I have what many call the epic beard / mustache so all it takes is time and patience. I highly recommend at least a yearly trim as a good trim can make it look more full (lost about 1/2-3/4" in my trim and now sit at a little under 7")

I am so happy I just found your channel! I have a tri-coloured beard with a blond moustache as well so I know exactly what you’re talking about. Mine definitely doesn’t looks as wide as yours though, so it grows over the lip super easily and looks super weird, I tried growing it I’ve my lips too but I keep getting comments from my friends and my barber that I should trim it. Today I was so fed up that I gave in when he asked to clean it up. Now I’m realising it was a mistake. Probably cut of 1 month worth of growth and awkward stages and now I realise he could have cut it differently for the transition period. Maybe I’m just not the person to rock this style even tho I love it on other guys. Definitely excited to try it your way now!

I was genuinely happy watching your progress. Not only did it make me feel better about the possibility of my beard filling in, it also encouraged me to persevere beyond my initial goal of 3-4 months of growth to 6 months and beyond. I'm a little over a month in, now - hoping for the best. I have a weird space on each side of my goatee connectors that are a little under an inch wide. I'm not expecting them to fill in - just the jawline, hair on the side of my face, and goatee connectors. If I can achieve half of what you have, even with the spaces, that would be awesome. Thanks for the video.

Hey Scott, this was, as you phrased it,..."a kick ass video." It was timely for me to see this because I started my beard growing journey in October and also used no shave November as the impetus to let the beard grow. Though I have watched many beard growing and grooming vids, the mere fact that you chronicled your journey in one vid was awesome.
It reinforced the importance of...PATIENCE!!!! Thanks for sharing your journey as it has strengthened my resolve to remain patient and let it grow.
    Cheers!

Yes ... If I had seen the end result before I watched the video, I would not have bothered.
The "full" look makes you look like an animal than needs a heavy duty jaw to chew rough foliage - the "tankard" look - big jaw and small (looking) cranium!
I am 4 months in, and have trimmed my beard shorter and shorter as it has thickens up - not contemplating going down from 3/8" to 1/4"... even thinking about trimming it more than once a week.

Alickz Rider its all genetics, there is nothing you can do to speed it up or fill it in. it's all in your blood that your mammy and pappy gave you. also as you get older your beard will grow differently and by that I mean in your 30's it will fill out more in your 40's even more than your 30's and so on. patience is the key. good luck

Okay, about the neck thing... Sure it looks more thick if you're standing in front of someone and looking at them while being completely static. But as soon as you move your head, they see this atrocious neck hair. Fat people use this tactic to hide wrinkles/double chin... It's just bad. It doesn't work. Always respect the REAL neck line.

The keys to growing a beard is time and genes. You can't change your genes and you can't cheat time. I let mine grow for a solid year before letting the barber do his handy work, and it looks great. Granted I struggled for a year and often trimmed the mustache.

dude, I have watched this video a few times now, so I decided to ask you: I have 20 years old and I can barely grow a beard and also I have a lot of space on my face which doesnt even grow a beard. Is there any way to accelerate the process (or make it easier) of having a "full beard"? By full beard I mean the ammount of facial hair in my face not the length.

I have been shaving like day yes and then 2 days without shaving and then shave again, to see if i grow more hair. I have shaved in the areas with no hair(the white/yellow facial hair) to see if it turns black, and its kind of working out: those blank areas are mainly my cheecks, cheeck bones and off course my jaw bones have way less facial hair then my chin and moustache, which also have little facial hair. right now, I have a week big of facial hair and I'll let it one month to see hwo much it grows(to compare to before) and then I'll shave all my face again. When I first shaved my totally blank areas(with the yellow hairs) (the first few times) it kind of burned me but I saw all the yellow hairs getting out (had to use a certain angle where the sun hit my face, otherwise couldnt see them being cut or at all) and now wwhen I shave there it doesnt burn me that much. I'm 20, I think when I'm 23 I will have a lot of beard(because of dad photos) but until then I'll try to shave as much as I can to see if I don't get stuck with any blank spots. Don't know why I did such an explanation, it might help you, I don't know xD

+Always IMO I bet you probably have already seen this on youtube, but I ran into people using that minoxidil stuff. if you haven't already go check out the " spanish beard " channel on UA-cam. I've even tried it and it works. look up before and after minoxidil pictures too. trust me I kinda know what your going thru because I'm 23 and the hair on the side of my face was more or less thin rather than patchy.

no offence brother u look like santa with that mustache. I love beard style and stuff i got too but to be honest u look way better in the start of the video. usually the Really long beard type is for ugly people who get better when they hide their face characteristics. No offense but its true . I got friends who got a full beard like urs and when girls see them without it they are like Wtf he is ugly as fuck. U are a good looking dude keep ur beard as in the beggining of the vid. Dont get mad at me its just my opinion

    • @deisumus1

+Ca- Blaze No offense but it's wrong. Of course girls thought they suddenly looked ugly because they compared it to when they had a beard. This guy's beard looks great (I'd shorten the stache a bit though). Watch the video backwards and notice how he loses badassness and charisma. That pretty much speaks for itself.
