My cheeks were so thin and patchy at first but after nearly a year of growth I get compliments all the time on how thick my beard is. People tend to just notice your beard as a whole, they don't notice the patches. They stick out more to you because you know they're there.

I've been struggling with a very patchy-beard for years. I decided to let it grow multiple times and as you said, I always reached to that point where I was like "This beard looks like shit". However, one day I received the FollicleBooster beard growth kit as a birthday gift and I decided to try to grow it up again. I've been using the product for a couple of months now and no lie, all my beard patches disappeared! With care and the right product's aid, I guess that everyone can fix their patchy beard!

Naegleria Fowleri Sometimes, if a guy is willing to rock a longer/thicker beard, you can fill in those spots as it becomes more dense. A lot of guy's beards will actually continue to develop as they grow older, even after puberty (The old saying: My hair left my head and traveled downwards). If you let it grow out, you're beard will probably cover said spots and hopefully even fill in from under over time. Win win.

My best advice for growing a beard is just plain not giving a shit. I remember the days where I'd freak If I forgot to shave, and now a razor hasn't touched my face in like 4 or 5 years. My beard is patchy and weak, but I just don't give a shit. Occasional trim with scissors, but that's it, and chicks dig it. So time and not caring or worrying. Just be hygienic and you're gold.

Talking about “wanting that support from your wife.” This made me realize how much he trusts me as I’m only a cosmetology student, never done anything with a beard, I’m not even allowed to use a straight edge razor. I’d have to go to barber school to be able to use a straight edge razor. But yes he does have a patchy beard and I’m honored he wants my help! ❤️

awesome vid. a tip for everyone with a patchy beard: take a flash picture of your facial hair and youll see very small dots of hair that a lagging behind, they grow very slow but eventually catch up and give a fuller look, you just need to give it TIME. and youll see those lighter hairs or blonde hairs that just dont seem to change color. if youre that concerned grab just for men one shade lighter than your beard hair (or the same if youre confident itll match) and use like a quarter of the product and lightly brush it in (do not rub into skin as it may stain skin because of patchiness. I usually do this on an off day of work so nobody notices the change. gradually work up to a darker and more match colour and the patches will eventually fill in . give it 90 days i promise youll see progress. also minoxidil foam.

My beard is naturally blonde ginger and white. I’ve used henna for a few years now in black which gives me a dark brown reddish beard that looks really natural. My two recommendations. Do not use just for men. Look at the thousands of bad reviews this product has gotten from men with chemical burns to the face. I learned the hard way. Number two fill in patches with eyeliner. Chinese pencil is the best and for me in dark brown and I just blend it in with the shaving brush. Also use a good beard shampoo and conditioner and like the man says resist touching the beard at all . Hang in there it’s worth it. Roughly takes about 90 days.

If your a man grow a beard and stop chasing a perfect beard everybody’s beard is different that’s the beauty of the beard

@David Caballero I couldn't agree more with that logic! As a bearded man myself, if there's one thing I've learned about one is focus on the stronger aspects of it and less on the weaker parts to incorporate a style where they meet in the middle, if you will (i.e.: length, density, face shape, etc.).

I'm 20 years old and have patchy cheeks. When growing it out for about 1 month my cheeks look very sparse but after that, the hairs kinda lay over each other and it begins to look nice. I'm glad i didn't shave before!

I'm on my like 4th month of my "yeard" it's not the ideal beard but it's encouraging to keep growing it mine doesn't grow too high on my cheeks but I am going to continue to just let it grow I am almost 67 years old so naturally I have a lot if gray I am considering of getting some Just For Men and trying out coloring my beard great video you motivated me to just keep on letting it grow!

I've got one real patch that I'm waiting to finish filling in. Once that spot is done I'll start growing.

Question, my beard consists of blonde and ginger hairs which don't really take on beard dye all that well and also i really want to keep the colour since most beards you see are brown, so i assume there is nothing i can do apart from letting it grow?

My weak spot is the neck, I do not have the neck hair to fill out the bottom of the beard. Not sure why my neck hair has not come in yet? My mustache grows super fast, have to trim it twice a week.

I feel like hair color is the biggest factor in this. Black obviously being the best for any beard, super thick or super patchy. You can make it work. But the worst is someone like me. All the the colors sprouting out. Red, blonde, and very little black.. throw in some patches in and boom you got my ugly mug.

I have noticed that my beard has few awkward stages(or at least annoying stages.), the part right as it transitions from stubble to the beginning of a beard, then a little while after that, but before the patchy stage(the stage that requires the most grooming to look decent in my experience.) is the scratchy/itchy stage, specially in the mustache region, then there is the apex this where the only thing needed to maintain a nice clean looking beard is maintenance, I personally use shampoo and conditioner about every other day, I comb it and use beard balm or wax to keep the odd direction my beard is when I don't maintain it, the right side tends to curl inward toward my chin then outwards (
