just ordered mine for next winter! 40 years old and just getting into a sport I wanted to get into when I was 13 years old. Pretty committed to giving it my all, and not giving up.
Agent is a solid deck for most conditions. I ride out east where we get a lot of ice mixed with slush....it held a great line. I have several years of the agents from 20-23 and all hold their own. The new double kick takes some getting used to but the 23 imo is a bit more carvy than previous years. (Holds a line a bit better.) Looking forward to try the agent pro in 24. (Stiffer Rods and Impact Plates)....just don't hope it loses too much playfulness.
this is such a fun board to ride ! At 6’ 215lbs with at 157w it is perfect for slow & medium speed run . been riding for 20years with long break and was a blast to restart on and elevate my riding to another level
Would love to see some reviews on unisex boards please, when you get the change of course. I just recently had to return a board bc it's way too narrow, in fact many women's board are pretty narrow even in their standard sizes. Love your reviews.
rode the agent last season as my daily driver for first half of season...found it did well all mountain for sure...i'm a beginner park rider and thought it was capable ...i rode the wide version b/c size 12 boots and it held up pretty well for carving too. great review!
Rome guys know what they’re doing with those rods, they work. Single rods give extra snap and make board laterally stiffer in nose and tail, but do not affect torsional flex. This makes total sense for a park board. Double rods (in some of their directional boards) add torsional stiffness as well.
TJ, how much do you detune your boards? I’m a solid intermediate around the moi rain, but just starting in the park so I could use some educated input on this one.
would you recommend this board or the super doa? I am an intermediate park rider, but I do alot of carving. Im worried the super doa will be way too stiff for my level of park as reviews say its very stiff. Im able to get either for the same price.
I bought the 2022 version of this board last year and haven't ridden it yet. I've been snowboarding roughly three days a season for the last 6 years or so. Would you say this is probably too aggressive for a beginner? I've been thinking about selling this one and getting one on your beginner boards list from last year. Thanks in advance!
It’s a cambered board, so generally it cannot be recommended for a beginner who rides 3 days in a season. But if you are 1) in a good physical shape, 2) learning fast, 3) feel brave and 4) wish to ride more - keep the Agent, just be prepared to catch an edge. Learning curve will be hard, but more rewarding. Otherwise, pick some flat-to-rocker board and have fun.
@@AlexanderKontsevoy I appreciate it! I think I tick all the boxes there. I may just give it a shot and if it seems like too much to handle I’ll get something else for the meantime. Thanks!
@@ryanwallace3477 you won’t regret it. If you like to play on sidehit and coming in hot out of the woods you going to love it. Not a speed demon but forgiving and decent pop on small & medium jump. I got it last winter and its so much more forgiving than my older board ( oldshool Morrow Dimension)
I’m 5’9” 140 and got the 151 which I’m loving and find it super stable at high speeds, and still easy enough to Ollie and butter. I will say that I do wish I bought the pro for extra stiffness when I’m flying through chunder, but a second more freeride focused board would also solve this problem and be better for chunder and pow anyway.

I started last spring at 39. I feel you let’s go get it 🤙🏾

Would recommend for a beginner I’m on east coast too!
That's a good looking board. The double kick in the nose and tail reminds me of late eighties, early 90's skate decks.
Tom Knox double kick

i have the same weight and experience do you enjoy butter with it ?
@@sebthom3130 i still kinda suck at butter but its really good for press and also forgiving for a camber board
and the 158w is a lil harder to spin cause of the additional weight i would say
How does this board compare to the DOA in terms of speed, stability and buttering?
Would be cool to see the Ride Shadowban at some point! 🤙

Did it seem small I was thinking about getting it but I heard they run small even the wide version I have a size 12/13
@@blaikegibson1146 no, it didn’t ..and the wide is like 27 so pretty wide
Your the best I appreciate you for fast response if you have more input let me know bc I’m assuming we’re about the same size

Thats an interesting build idea. How does the bamboo work with the agility?

Excellent review. Lots of people talk about this, good to know more about it.
Did you get on more Yes Snowboards last season?
Is the Rome agent more stable at higher speed than the bataleon evil twin?
Definitely, 3BT is super shakey at high speeds
How’s it compare with the party mod? Flex? Edge hold?
a bit stiffer, noticeably better edge hold, sturdier all around. check out the review of the party mod for comparison 🤘🏼
@@BoardArchive thanks! 🤘🏼

If you're more of an intermediate rider getting into the park I think you would enjoy the Agent much more

@@ryanwallace3477 so did you have a chance to try it ?
@@th1_s138 no, but I got a yes basic and it was awesome other than I chipped the top sheet in two spots. Gonna try the agent I have out next time.
