Their fish-like body shape is just too different from the standard human silhouette to make it work. Helmets and chestpieces would have to be twisted into something completely unrecognizable. Blizzard's signature giant shoulderpads would be basically impossible to implement due to the Murlocs' bulky, hunched, fishlike body and stick-thin arms. Ogres would be astronomically easier to implement since their body shape is still mostly human. ...flavor-wise there's zero reason for Murlocs joining the Horde either but that one's never stopped Blizzard

And his father not knowing to speak Common communicates with you drawing symbols in the sand. And he symbolizes his son as a... sun. And when you finally kill his son and give son's trident to his father, it's implied that the father cries. It's very simple quest with no intricate story. But it's one that I still remember even after what is probably 10 years now.

Big Bads like Deathwing and Arthas are fine and all, but I prefer videos like this about groups of smaller villains. Some other possibilities could be Kobolds, Quillboar, Defias Brotherhood, Grimtotem, Centaurs all that good stuff.

Murlocs did evolve into a sentient race capable of crafting advanced materials and forming a civilization. That's exactly what the Jinyu and the Ankoan are. They started out as murlocs and evolved over the years to develop increased intelligence, the ability to speak common and the understanding to invent new tools and improve on them over time.

Years later I started to play Hearthstone and after a fiew expansions, Murlocadin was in the meta game and I had huge flashbacks everytime a Murloccard was played. Murlocs are the perfect manifestation of chaotic evil! I can still hear the echo of there "Mrlglgrl" in my dreams...

Note that there are Murlocs and Deep Murlocs that are a part of the Unshackled, who all Worship the Shark Loa Graal (Probably the one being a Murloc has worshiped that was probably WORTHY of worship.) and are thus aligned with the Horde.

The murlocs that fought the Darkspears also spoke Common, or perhaps Orcish or somesuch. In any case, they were able to gloat to Thrall about how good at sacrificing they were.

The barrens is the only post starting zone that doesn't have any murlocs, why?! There are murlocs in Dustwallow Marsh which shares the same coast line but it doesn't work the same.
