To avoid stretching the metal out, I like to move the vent post out of the way, but that adds other challenges.
Good video. A late model car is a new car. An early model car is an old car. Think of late as the latest car made. If you update the title you’ll get more hits.
On the air-cooled Bugs late and early is defined by window size. 64 down is early 65 up is late basically.
Why is everyone skipping the door panel and latch removal steps??
Well this car as I recall already had the door panels off. And it's a late car so it's pretty easy as long as you know the arm rest has a metal bracket and needs to be lifted towards the top of the door. And we don't remove the latch mechanism for a regulator replacement.
Go buy a car you don't have to work on.
