Maurice seems like such a lovely guy. I'm so glad he achieved sobriety in the last 10 years of his life. There's something soothing about his speaking voice.
I love all these talk show clips because you can see how real these guys were (and still are despite Maurice and Robin passing on) as well as their incredible talent as singers and musicians. It is wonderful to see such awesome and down to earth talent.
Ok, so I’ve been a huge fan of the Bee Gees for ever, but only discovered this interview today. I knew they were breathtakingly talented, but the acoustic set here, whilst sitting down, takes it to another level. It’s talent that has never been replicated.
When you hear Robins part of the song at the end it just hits you on an emotional level as well as them all together. Robin had this distinctive “something” to his voice that was so lovely. Massachusetts is another one among many. Legendary group, the BeeGees. Not another like them before or since.
It's called a vibrato! It's when you make your singing voice 'shaky' in a way that it fits in the song. Barry's voice was unique because of his falsetto while Mo's voice though less heard was also deep and nice sounding.
amen amen you said it all right there, i can hardly listen to any other without longing for the Bee Gees ... there's a new facebook ad using one of their songs and I stop cold everytime I encounter it, I want to kneel down and say thank you for this contribution to my life.
The most precious brothers ever!!! Never tire of hearing them sing or carry on conversations...they are so down to earth, and so cute, each in their own special way. I just LOVE the BeeGees!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Maurice's voice shines in "I just gotta get a message to you". I love his high vocals live singing! His lovely voice is spectacular whenever he is singing live in a show.
Barry got it spot on when he says they are people people! Absolutely! This comes across in every interview. Great guys who were loveable, likeable and effortlessly talented and didn't let their fame go to their heads
Barry said the reason they did split up for 16 years is because they did let their money, women, & fame go to their head. They were too young to know how to handle it. When they were young, they stayed in big trouble. They stole stuff, burned things down (Maurice didn't). Barry smoked weed, Robin took pills, & Maurice drank. Barry got them together one day & said, we can be famous or end up in jail. He took the knives they just nicked & threw them in the lake. Thank God they made a decision to give us all beautiful music & joy to our lives. (Hope I didn't text too much. Thought you might enjoy)!
These guys were very down to earth. They appreciated their fans and always had time for them.I met them on three occasions and it was just like talking to a friend who you'd known all your life.Their music will live on forever...it is timeless.

I love Robins voice. So unique. Robin has it all. He's my favorite always. Gorgeous, sexy.so 🔥. Miss the Bee Gees. I miss Robin the most. Love love love Robin.
I am also binge watching The Bee Gees during the pandemic in April 2021. I am really appreciating their music and their wonderful personalities. RIP to the twins and to Andy. Love and long life to Barry. ❤️
They wrote/write their songs with passion, from the heart and meaningful. They will be remembered and never forgotten. I like this interview. It has sense of humor.
Sir Barry Gibbs, Maurice Gibbs, Robin Gibbs are gifted, authentic, ICONS. They wrote songs with passion and from the heart. God Bless them all. Maurice and Robin and Andy are the angels beside Sir Barry Gibbs.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful voices and songs 🎵 ❤️ Bee Gees forever ❤❤❤ RIP Maurice and Robin together again in Gods Choir ❤️ 🙏 Forever missed, but your music lives on
This interviewer is doing everything she can to get them to say something negative and these guys are just as sweet and diplomatic as they can possibly be. Good for them for not allowing her to entrap them into saying something stupid or something that would create bad press.
I love these guys. They are so much fun with their jokes and craziness. I like them all, but I love Robin. He is a nut and very sexy and handsome. Rest In Peace Rob and Mo. You are truly loved and missed. ❤️🌹❤️
Wonderful interview, and music 🎶. The Bee Gees music will go on for eternity. I love the Bee Gees especially Robin. Robin, Maurice and Andy are very much missed. Love to Barry and to the entire Gibb family. RIP Andy, Robin and Maurice. Barry please keep writing, producing and singing. 💕
Amazing! they just picked up guitars in the studio and played and sang absolutely to the known sound. Who can do that these day? They have no equals! Sad that their day is done now. But what a legacy they have left. Love the BeeGees.

I just love the BeeGees! Gorgeous voices especially Robin’s vibrato beautiful, then when Maurice had the chance to not only write songs, but to sing, he has a superb voice! All three were gorgeous and there will never be another group that possessed so very much! I’m sure it was Judy Spiers interviewing them, quite a comic herself
Thank you God for these 3 men and You Tube. l get so much pleasure from hearing them in interviews such as these. They are such real people wanting to make a real contribution to this world, plus, of course, their music and humour is totally delightful. Thanks for posting.
Lovely interview with Judy Spiers she is very good and polite, and of course Barry, Robin and Maurice The Bee Gees , without there music life would be very empty for and millions of other people
one of their most beautiful songs ever I love it so much listen to it every day and the video is their most beautiful video ever and Robin's singing it this is as beautiful as the video..
I dont think so they. Are brothers they grew up together. Im sure they know each very well by this age Dont pick on barry even barry said. Robin. Voice. Was. Higher than his. Any way. I enjoyed it.im going to let it go at that.
i think his needling was his dry sense of caustic humor that he displayed with everyone, and he seemed to always be sulking because let's face it Barry took the stage, his charisma penetrated every arena, but often Mo took the reins and spoke up as well. Barry seemed very patriarchal and protective of the group and that's how they grew up, kind of a chain of command, just like they said their own father rarely complimented them but did direct them and guide them and they just accepted that. I wish that each of them had more of the spotlight and were more assertive especially Mo performing and Rob speaking up.
@@beeharbour You know, I actually have seen most of the videos of them together and I think they all loved each other, but in all encounters we all have to learn to manage our egos, which are usually ruthless and self serving first. Even do gooders often do it to be seen as "good" and flaunt their virtues. My take on it is that it was mostly his idea, and he enlisted them and they all ooozed with talent and intelligence, but Barry exuded sexuality without even trying, and that got them a lot of attention. I thought Maurice had charisma too, but Robin seemed sullen and seemed to not feel at home on stage. I often felt like these poor guys were relegated to "back up" singers for Barry most of the time. Even on Robins solos, Barry would be waving his arms emoting and his passion commanded some spotlight. It was a beautiful thing to watch him, but must have been very hard for his young brothers. But their rise to fame was when they were so young, and then they had to work hard to not have it fall apart. I just watched a wonderful you tube on the Jonas Brothers and was hoping Barry had seen it and could get some camaraderie from their honest, in depth sharing of their difficulties to keep it going, and in dealing with the highly critical public. Barry was dealt a low blow by life, losing his whole birth family, and others like Michael Jackson and Barry's manager, can't recall his name right now. I can still see the pain in his face, its post traumatic stress several times over. Ouch. Thanks for sharing.
@@beeharbour thanx again ... no I do not disagree with what you just said, but Barry's male energy is what I was referring to. I love love love watching Robin and definitely his voice makes me cry, its like sacred and mystical, I was just meaning that that is not commercial what most people get turned on by. I feel the three of them combined in a profound way which for me would feel transcendental. I wasn't surprised to later read that Barry was into Edgar Cayce and some of the Indian gurus, and certainly Robin went on to record serious music, as in fine art. They are each complex beings with their own trademarks and I would not be able to choose any over the other myself. Riveting for Robin is a great word, so is otherworldy, mystical, hallowed and of course haunting. Whereas words for Barry for me would be animus, mojo, magnetism and alpha. All are great. I think Mo was naturally in the groove, he could get down into the music and sway with it beautifully. Thanx for the exchange. We love these guys and they are a gift from God imo. I miss them so much, there will never be another that penetrates to my soul like the Bee Gees.
@@beeharbour oh wow you articulated so beautiful ... we are soulmates ... ironically they were so misunderstood as "pop" and "disco", and that was the tip of the iceberg ... they were troubadours of the highest order, and still are, and I think their depth went over the critics head, and lots of others. Recently I said to someone how I carry a torch for the BG and they said ugh, bubblegum music. What? Hello, have you ever really listened. They make me listen with all my senses plus my soul, not just my ears!!! Good to exchange with you, I notice that most of us are very sensitive people who experience something profound each time we listen. I get carried away when in one of the songs they just sing sha la ONCE ... wow, genius how they could insert an extra beat here, and take away one there. Never tire of watching or listening.
Effortless talent and wit..they were so blessed..and so are we to have their music..I grew up listening to them..the fabulous Brothers Gibb..🎇🎆🎊🎉💝💝💝😍😍😘😘🌹
