Hi Carl Thanks for the informative vid here. I've always been doubtful about this device's ability to learn the rider's riding style through throttle positions and map it to the ECU. Is this ability technically available to this device or is it just a figure of speech ?
I believe it is available. It just looks at all of the inputs and logs that data to the device and then when done you tell it to write that data to the ecu.
Can you verify the pins wiring colors for the harness plug please. U mentioned pink and grey. My harness was snagged and pulled out the harness from the solder joints

@@CarlRecktenwaldJr have you tried the flash cat from embedded computers it supports SST26VF032BI was reading data sheet on chip from Digi key I think they marry the flash chip to pic chip and then the flash chip is also married to the bike via the vin number therefore I do not think a blank chip put in place of the stock chip would work the pic chip would not recognize it the chip according to data sheeet Security ID: - One-Time Programmable (OTP) 2-KByte, Secure ID: - 64-bit unique, factory preprogrammed identifier thats the part that marrys pic chip to flash if you could get past the read and write locked area via the programmer with commands you could dump flash AND edit vin in hex editor and unmarry "virginize" flash chip I await your response I am really interested in this. Do you have an email or website?
Maybe that will work. Unfortunately the 26 chip has a odd way of the read and write and behind my programming skills. I am also afraid that the vin is permanently in the OTP section of the chip and will give you a vin miss match error.

The FP3 pin out is: Pink to pin 1, black to pin 2, gray to pin 3 and red to pin 5. Pins 4 and 6 are empty.
So if I get DSPIC33FJ128GP out and place it on breadboard, I should be able to read the VIN number right?
I guess either DELPHI or Assembly language?
I tired using the programming port and it said locked.
this was during the initial prompts to auto tune set up
So is there a way to remove and install and open chip or do u think it will work for diagnostics and ecm tuning without that chip all together
i have not been ableto read the chip, it is locked down.
I also got fuelpak on table. Have you tried to solder flash chip out and read or it was left inside pcb? Thanks.

question if I tried starting the engine when it said to turn on (now iknow eletrical only) well could that have fried my circuits?
+Paulo Rusto the circuits in the fp3? I would not think so, the fp3 would be excepting to see voltage regardless of the engine status.

I am trying to see if I can. I have not been able to reset as of yet.
Would be awesome to change that chip for one that can be rewrite..

No. The chip is write protected and can’t read the code on it.

It has one time programming so not sure how there coding works.
