I would bet my left nut which isn't much that they'll release a double stack 9mm version and it'll be priced up there with staccato. I'd go with staccato. The pioneers of the 2011.
@@thatguy3139They aren't the pioneers of the doublestack 1911 design, but they were in the market early, and their real claim to fame is making reliable mags for the concept.
Where is the 1911 double stack? Preferably that takes P320 mags or traditional ds 1911 mags.
i mean the BUL magazines are technically superior to both in capacity, and in price and reliability they beat normal 2011 magazines.

Forget the double stack - or 9mm - what we want is 10mm , there are actually ZERO currently produced 1911s in 10mm with both rail and red dot ready - would be a huge hit. Especially in brushed stainless! I’d buy it in a second. I’m waiting until 10mm. 10mm 10mm 10mm.

Looks good. My second gun ever was a Sig 1911. The ones I had worked fine. Problem is that was over a decade ago. The platypus is gona put a hurtn on these manufacturers considering their price point.

So besides an ergonomic change and a slide cut, what sets this 1911 apart from others? None of the features mentioned are "new" or "innovative", no bobtail for the carry model, and yet we are charging premium price tags for it (around $1,800 for the model that comes with a red dot). Plenty of manufacturers have released their premium 1911 models in this price range, so why is Sig trying to come into a very saturated market, when the current fashion is double stacked 9mm 1911 and that market is very open?? A 2011 that takes Sig P320 mag will blow the market up and yet we are treated with this half-baked cash grab.
Next step Sig 1911X LEGION please! Haters gonna hate no matter what. I have red dots on older Sig 1911s. Nice to see optic cuts on em from factory now.

That’s the real question. By appearances, I would guess yes.
No, it's been confirmed that the holster is too small and the Sig gets stuck in it. You have to get a blacksmith to cut the gun out of it or else all is lost.
Low-capacity single stack magazines...and it requires using a safety...both are deal breakers for any pistol I'd ever consider carrying.
It's probably a nice target pistol though.

I bought the 1911-X with the XRAY3 Day/Night Sights. Supposedly mounted at Sig.
After the first 150 rounds the sight wobbled on the slide. It didn't help accuracy.
If you get one check yours first.

Springfield missed the mark on the new TRPs with no optic cut. Plus anyone else see how we’ve almost come full circle ⭕️ back to 2000s Para-Ordinance DS 1911s with the the STI, Staccato, Prodigy? Get a Para-Ordinance Warthog fitted for a RMR and be ahead 25 years ago.
My one problem with Sig pistols is their lock of modular parts. Say for instance you got the 226, but your magazines are 226 Legion mags, they arent gonna work. They should have just made a 2011 that took P320 magazines or traditional double stack mags. This just feels derivative.
You can customize a 2011 through Stealth Arms for less. The new Platypus will take p320 mags. So this is the dumbest move in the gun industry this year. So far..
Also Tisas makes a DS 9mm 2011 that's optic ready for under 800! 😂
Hopefully SIG will offer it in other calibers soon. Fudds hate red dots. Why chamber this gun in 45?!?

if you guys are waiting on a 1911 double stack, be smart and do not buy this... there going to release a double stack 1911 after this release. Your going to buy this and then see the double stack 1911come from them, then you'll run to sell this to buy the double stack. Common sales technique, sadly all companies like double dipping.
Instead of something new, Sig took their existing 1911 platform and just cut their slide to accommodate their smaller Romeo-X (carry version). Sig…Just buy out Oracle Arms and do it right.
Tested the trigger at a gun shop,,it was horrible 😢,, not even close to what a 1911 trigger should feel like. Tested the older models and they where good. Sad,, I really want this gun, but???

Be careful with these folks. In proper sig fashion, mine is defective right out of the box. With hammer back and safety on, I get sear movement when trying to press trigger, and when the thumb safety is disengaged, hammer falls to half cocked after doing so. THIS IS NOT NORMAL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Evidence of an improperly fit thumb safety that can lead to more severe problems in the future.

With my past experiences with sigs customer service, no. I didn't waste my time, as if trying to send a handgun via ups, fedex, etc isn't short of anything but a pain in my ass. Besides, I trust myself to fix it more than the goons they're hiring there. Nobody takes pride in their work anymore, and made in the USA doesn't bear the same meaning it once did because of it. I ordered a new safety and am gonna fix it myself. You'd think for 1500 bucks, it would at least be safe. Wishful thinking coming from sig, I suppose. Super disappointing, and fucking embarrassing to be honest.
