It looks really cool, but I would've loved to see more inspiration on the double headlights
Yeah that's what I was hoping for🙁
but it has a honda logo on it and the honda type r had the rectangular headlights
@@shashankreddy6843 true
Yeah a needed an actual Acura front end.
It's looks nice but honestly this is just a slimmer, sportier looking 2 Door Civic, it doesn't really feel like an Integra imo!
I thought same too.
@@OTHERJ4M33L it's a shame cuz he's made some seriously great redesigns before but this one was kinda "eh" for me
Completely agree, it's a 2 door civic type r, very nice..... not an integra.
Same
I thought I clicked off the video for a minute when I spaced out and all of a sudden he's working on a civic. . . Definitely didn't have an ITR feel but a cool CTR...
Looks less like an integra and more like an civic type r coupe.
You think you could do a "JDM Headlight" version of it or in the future do both JDM/ADM versions of older cars.
Sketchmonkey drops a vid at 4:30pm
Me: *hey boss, I gotta clock out early*
or you can go to the "bathroom" and watch it in there that's what I do sometimes lol.
This really looks like it could be a real production car
It should be. It’s literally an SI. 😂
You forgot the lights...rounding them out on the inside wouldve been interesting to see
the rectangular headlights they got in japan always looked better imo
finally integra i clicked so fast
Man, I love your work, obviously all your design are not going to be liked by everybody, you are not designing $100.00 bills. That being said I would like to give you some critique. As a Honda Lover this one is a no from me, is like a stretched civic (that is your start point with this design) a Integra Always was an Exotic option to the awesome Civic, it do not shared almost anything with the civic design wise. I think if you removed the grill, make the front more slant, merge the light with that and put the logo in the hood it would looked more like an integra. And of course this is just my mere opinion, keep doing your amazing work man.
No need to butter him up, he has been click-baiting us for quite some time, as someone that draws myself most of his work is a massive shortfall. He looked at the dc2 then shortened a civic?...thats an insult to the dc2 a next gen dc2 should no less be on the tlx type s platform.
@@christopherdaniel2747 I think he just don’t get the Honda vibe, I think he did he’s version of the new 2022 Civic Hatchback and it was not pleasing to see. But in my opinion Honda is falling short in design lately. With Honda I go from the FK2 back to the SB1, skipping the 7th gen sedan, that thing is bad. But from the 10th to now is like Honda have lose he’s mojo and the new 11th have like a german taste to it, I feel Jetta vibes with it.
Something that caught my attention, is it a legitimate Integra type R modified to 4wd at the beginning of the video?! Or a conventional model converted to look like a type r?
BTW another great video
There are conversions out there
It’s just on an awd dyno
@@tspectuning Interesting, i imagined that all the rollers needed the traction of the wheels to move in a dyno awd, how does this happen, of the rear rollers to move in a fwd car?
@@patrick1916 the awd dyno has a setting to be able to select tuning preferences from using all rollers (awd) just the rear rollers (rwd) or just the front rollers (fwd) load won’t be utilized on the rollers that aren’t power driven in selected modes
You can either make it awd yourself or buy a kit for it, it’s a pretty common mod.
Ohohohohoooh, I've been waiting for this for a while. Fantastic.
Another Beautiful Redesign Bembli, I can see it being a revival of the Integra
The redesign of the dc2 Integra is the DC5 RSX.. the civic looks nothing like the Integra line up.. should’ve done a redesign of the RSX using the RSX platform to start with..
The dc2r looks nothing like the 11th gen civic
All he did was edit the new civic into a coupe lol

I have a request. The newer Toyota Rav4 remindes me of the corolla ae86, could you design a modern ae86 with the design ques from the newer rav4?
How the hell
@@T0astedR0asted what
In what way other than the badge does it remind you of an 86
@@Ganjatraining hard to explain, but when I sees a newer rav4 the ae86 crosses my mind, especially white one with black details alla the one from initial D. I can agree that it's abit far fetched, but I would still like to see an modern ae 86 with a hint of rav4.
@@sbu93 yea it would be a fun video idea
I have been waiting for years for you to do this one :D I am excited
Thank you for making this video!
I asked for this video a few videos back!
i miss those honestly , they look so good , and with the right motor , its a dream race car
Badass concept. I would love seeing this
the car world would look a lot better if sketchmonkey was a high requested car designer for brands like mercedes, bmw etc.
Especially Lexus
Wow. I so wish they would make something like this. It looks freaking dope.
My best friend growing up had a '99 Civic Si, and that VTEC cam changeover never got old. I loved riding with him. It wasn't the fastest car, but that engine screaming always put a smile on my face. I wish they could bring that back, it was so distinctive.
I needed this video
The should make a slightly modified version of the Civic Coupe and call it Integra, using the engine of the SI in the base model and the engine of the Type R in the… well, Type R
It's amazing how we used to idolize these cars back in the day for being the absolute peak of performance but when you look at it now... 195 bhp??? Now we have 500+ bhp sedans and SUVs with baby seats in the back.
But heavier
Drive a 500hp modern sedan, then drive a dc2r.. you’ll immediately get a huge smile behind the wheel of an ITR. They’re still great cars compared to modern junk. I drove a 600hp bmw sedan and almost fell asleep at the wheel.
It's a 100% American issue as everyone else around the world have no hp fever from stock cars. If we like a car that comes with 190 for 30k and we want 400 we build that bitch not complain .
@@IntegraDIY lol I drove a Camaro SS 2019 and it was ok yes it's fast but that it. Seats were generic since it was a 1ss. Feels like a tub too lol. Shifting is fast thou in the 8 speed automatic and the sound is great. To he type r is fun as hell to toss and turn in and it's a Manual. It has more visibility too.
Has to be RWD? The whole point of the integra type R was making a good handling, fun FWD car
yeah idk why he said that lmao
Vtech !!! She's a screamer ! I had the 2001 type r number 14 of first 1000 they were limited hence the price... its called supply demand sadly I sold mine for 11,900 80k miles had titanium valve retainers, cam gears , poet polish, aem cold air intake , h&r springs .. pop out screen pioneer nt1 .. yes jfm has the wrap around
LMAO Honda's are fun and cool cars but chill out bro it has like 150hp
Nailed it !!!!!
2022 calendar year is the return of the Integra!!! I'm going to save my money for it!!!
Realy so good
The double round headlights was the US version and the Japanese-only version had the square lights. It's a popular modification to replace the front end with square
you are seeing into the future!
now that you’ve done this car do you think you could do a honda prelude modernization?!
Do people prefer square or circle headlights?
European Honda Integra Type Rs also came with the circle headlights. Only the Japanese models had the light bars in front and they came with slightly more power and the facelift, 98spec got even more improvements all around. The redesign is spot on, would look amazing in championship white!
the one with the square headlights was sold in Australia as Honda Prelude (not in the Type R variant) it was a slightly bigger car. The Integra is the one with the round headlights.
Really sweet
you just smashed it with a fly swatter
Brrrrroooooooooooooooo!!!!! VTEC JUST KICKED IN YOOOOOOOO!!!! I'm absolutely digging this one right here!!!
Looks better then most car designs
now that looks goood
Hey sketch monkey I was just wondering how would you restart all the Honda CR-Z the latest model how would you resketch it and make it look better and also the old Escort ZX2 I believe is what it's called the two-door model and make it look more modern to today's standards
Why did you leave the wind deflector at the top of the door?
Best wheels you possibly could have chosen
Nice Honda /Acura type R coupe, Sketch looks the business .... its got a bit of the Renault Alpine about it now 👌 👍 😎
You just made me realized that the integera is a squished version of the civic with 2 doors
Resurrect THE LEGEND!!!
Yes from what I read Honda introduced the car in both markets but JDM owners did not like the round head lights and got a redesigned front end .
I would love to see a tutorial of everything you did in this vid it would be super informative and interesting.
I absolutely love the integra's, the one I own now is my 3rd one. I sold the other two due to mechanical or body frame issues. I paid 1,600 for a stock silver 2001, Integra LS back around 2016. It's probably worth at least 5-8K, now. They're so hard to find now days, along with parts for them. That's what you call an investment!
How much did they have to pay irs ?
So this is what the 11th Gen Civic Coupe would've looked like, it's amazing
No it wouldn’t have looked like this it would have had a much shorter hood with smaller wheels and it would have been much taller as well
Now I just need bags of cash and the car, take them both to Chip Foose and say "Build this for me...and yes, rear wheel drive too....!!" done!
This redesign is really good, its like a BRZ made by Honda/Acura
something about the front end doesn't scream integra... the headlights need a remodel/redesign for it to not seem like just another Civic version. Something to separate it from the Civic model entirely. maybe even a whole front end fascia redo.
Love the fk8s design, clear functionality too. That I’m itself is refreshing in a world of very safe European cars. It’s too easy to slate but if you research what the shape does in relation to allowing air to move around the car more freely it makes more sense. As a designer myself I can appreciate the engineering in the fk8.
Can we also get one for the 4th gen honda prelude??
Why? He is just going to do what he did for this one and call it a prelude
In Europe the Honda Integra Type R had 4 round headlights too. I had one (#610) almost 15 years long , 400,000 km.
My friends 3 Honda Integra type R s (yes, I said 3!) are all twin round headlights here in the UK. Jdm were the long headlights.
Nah this at it back to the drawing board literally
Sweet
miles better than the actual 2023 Integra
As other people have said, this just seems like a different version of the Civic, and while the Civic and Integra may have shared a very similar platform, the latest model made in the early 2000's looked different enough to the 4th generation Civic to be distinguishable as it's own model, and honestly I think it would've made more sense to start from that model(The DC5) and applying Acura's current design language to it, rather than starting with the current Civic and just giving it some "Integra-like" characteristics. As a Honda it doesn't look bad, but as an Acura it doesn't really fit how they look today.
Next gen Wrangler design coming soon?
Is that the integra that was crashed the day before it sold?
Can you redesign new challenger to modern plymouth 'cuda
The only thing that looks kinda weird is how the right side of the hood doesn’t go into the front end as smoothly as the other side
Could you modernise the Bentley blue train please it would look amazing
That’s all we’re missing from the 90s car revives as they already brought the supra and civic all that’s left is an Acura/Honda itr
I like 1994-2001 because around the wheel arches , fender is not flattened from up to down... Wheel arches surrounds
5th gen Prelude??
I would love the contemporary redesign of a rover 75 😂
i think ur onto something here, but i feel like we should get a complete 98 integra type r to 2021 modern conversion
If I had millions, I would pay this guy to design my unique car 😎😋
The new SI better look like this.
Me: Looks at Honda badge and see ACURA in the title
Dude, it looks nice. But you left the C-pillar in the middle of the rear window.
This is the comment I was looking for.
@@PrioCaptSend He must have been in a hurry, and forgot.
@@PrioCaptSend I was looking for someone to comment about the C-pillar so that I wouldn't be saying the same thing! Did he really forget or left it on purpose...? LOL
@@jamesaron1967 I think I heard him saying he left it there on purpose. But I might be wrong.
How about a redesign of the integras bigger sister, the honda prelude
Acura announced today there will be a 2022 return of the Integra. What are the odds
You should Redesign the 1997 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe and make it a 2022 design redesign.
The Honda had double headlights too. The single headlight design had to be a restyling.
if you did the same way to the another side of the interior,it would be looks perfect ~ btw, great job !even kinda reminds me the shape of the eclipse 😊
You can’t lie we all enjoyed that. However, that hood be looking too long there guy. I know this is a redesign. But, something about how long that hood was sticking out is penetrating my inner OCD. 😂
Looks pretty cool. Would love to see your take on a lamborghini hatchback. 😉
we need Pop up and down headlights
This video aged well lol
-SketchMonkey picks Honda light over acura
He is BASED GIGACHAD
idk if it’s been said, but this seems more like a new Prelude lol
Really cool design but can you do an Integra?
A flattened civic.
TLX TypeS wagon?
now lets make it a reality.
Is anyone knowledgeable enough about them to explain why on the Dyno it appears to be 4wd? Is this a conversion or am I missing something about how Dynos work?
To me, the car doesn't look that dated at all. Except maybe the rear lights. It's basically like the McLaren F1 in terms of aging.
There's also the newer DC5 generation Integra.
First thing I was wanting to see was what the lights looked like now I’m disappointed
The japanese market headlights were squared
That looks like a 2023 Honda Prelude Si.
He made a civic coupe……..
Ikr. There is literally nothing special about this redesign
Tbh u gave me an idea. You know how the new Honda Civic they said no more coupes what if they started making a new integra
They can make an integra type R again and make a type S and they can just put the type r and Si engine
I would try and use an acura base instead. This is a great redesign, but it's just a next gen civic coupe imo
