Is the front bumper supposed to be asymmetrical? Following what you did on the right, that vent should be invisible from that perspective as it's wrapped around the side and deep into the fender.

Holy Hell...thank you!!! Back when Shmee got his M8, I made the comment that it reminded me of a Mustang. The damn BMW fanboys tore me apart. I had 54 comments telling me I was crazy and everything else. I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw it. Thank you very much! Also this looks amazing. You never know though, BMW could make this one day. They have some radical ideas now
One of yours best redesigns, looks gordeous elegant, yet keeps the best parts of the original. You put down a lot of work in this one, amd it shows
I think I’m one of the few who think it just didn’t need it. Looked cool but I don’t think you can beat that original look
I can see a massive way of improving it already

The steep and low hood really gives it a distinctive look than the other BMW's and also the grill and light gap,and can u review my designs I'm 14 yrs old

man i love those classic modernized box shaped cars, and i love the way you redesign them, you put some work on them, they feel like they didn't change much Yet again they look much more modernized, new and 1000 times better than what we see now in rl, you really outdone yourself.

You got it nearly perfect except for two things:
- hood line: it should be just at the top part of the kidneys and headlights, not in the middle of nowhere (this is a main design issue of lot of recent BMW cars)
- horizontal slats inside the kidneys instead of vertical lines. Audi has horizontal bars and BMW vertical bars.
U need to make the grill go up to the base of the windscreen-then it would look like a modern BMW!
there are some cars you just can't touch, this is the perfect example, just like an e38, but hey.
I still think you have some top-notch redesigns.

Great job on one of my favorite BMWs again. I would've kept the kidneys' grill vertical though, because the E31's front face is large enough and doesn't need, in my opinion, more horizontal lines. Keep up the amazing work!

I normally like your stuff, but this feels like you took the wonderfully simple original design and turned it into an updated Pontiac.

The new 8-series is a nice car and I like the looks of the coupe but the old 8-series is where it’s at
Another nice one. The reason the BMW 8 series came out looking the way it did was because the designers had to meet very strict aerodynamic requirements that was set for them.
Looks way better than the current 8 Series. I like that you kept the original design. Keeping the 8 series exotic

After watching you 911 video, outlining the history of it's tail light design, I never noticed how much the 8 series looks like a backwards 911.

Just to put my thaughts out: I belive, that the 8 series is verry well kept alive in the bmw i8.

The perspective is a bit off. I always found it helpful to flip sketches horizontally - it fixes that blindness for perspective mistakes. I wouldn't do it for sketches that are already published, though, that could ruin your day.

...you dared...and you nearly nailed it....still a lot of design tuning on this sketch but great job and right begining to go on with.....the front might be more inspired with BMW Nazca C2 prototype....
I love the long flat design of the original 8. This design looks like a propper modernisation. Its so clean, it looks like it could be an electic car to compete with the porche taycan it it where a 4 door version! Pop-up headlights were originally created to meet the required minimum height for headlights, so sadly this one wouldn't be legal as is. I think they have to be at a minimum 60cm from the ground.

You should do a series on all the pop-up headlight greatest hits and modernize them, stuff like the Lotus Esprit, Ferrari Testarossa/355/456, C4/C5 Corvette, Nissan 300ZX, Lambo Countach etc

Nice update. Is it me or is the perspective of the front end off? Seems like to side air inlet is further forward on the RH side of the car than on the LH side.
The kidneys are so small that i can barely recognize it as a modern BMW

(and this is once again a car that I hope I could own one day... V12 with manual 6-speed transmission... what an unicorn would that be nowdays... though I would have to fight the temptation to go with your redesign a bit, as that would probably ruin the authenticity of the car, which is a shame as your version looks absolutely awesome :) )
