The whole front makes much more sense in a sports car than it does on a hatchback. Those front lights are to squingy for the golf.
Just a small detail, i think you made the back wheel a touch bit small.

Every test has shown that the new Golf R goes from 0-60 MPH in 3.98-4.03 seconds in reality. It’s power and acceleration are way underrated from the factory.
sooooo essentially you just remade the VW Arteon but as a 2door coupe (available in germany idk if its available in amerika)

At least in the two American countries I've lived in, (Canada and the US) I've never heard of nor seen the VW Arteon. It's nice looking, but in my opinion, his redesign looks like a very modernized Scirocco or Corrado from the early 90's.
VW recently started selling the Arteon in America, or atleast in the USA as far as I know
I thought just the same when it was sketching it, at first I though he would go more towards the old concept vehicles, with living space only in the center…
There is no 2 door coupe version of the Arteon

It really looks like the Cadillac ELR, aka Doug Demuro's least favorite car.
Nah the ELR is very tall and bulky, the proportions are more like a Prius

I think this redesign makes so much sense because the new Golf R's features resemble so much those of super- / sportscars.

This was a great video and the redesign turned out surprisingly good-looking. It’s weird because it looks like a golf until you look at the golf and then the difference is striking. VW should think about hiring you (; …could you do something like this with a fiesta hatch?
Or they could just make the scirocco R with elements of the new Golf... simple
The last Scirocco was just nothing more than a Golf with a new body. So a new Scirocco R with elements of a Golf, would literally be just a new Scirocco R. As long as you aren't speaking about the body of course.

Many cars that you might not expect to be hatchbacks are hatchbacks, like the Jaguar F-type, Tesla model s, SUVs are hatchbacks too.
What a beauty the W12, it’s so german! Still a very good looking car today.

Awesome design. I guess it should be called the Golf SS (Super Sport). But it still looks like a front-engine Car though, because the hood is not low enough. The only thing missing is a tail spoiler. However, the original rims looked better. These rims look aftermarket.
By the way, your permanent hatred for door-handles have not gone unnoticed.

May I suggest a little bit of positive rake in the stance if you can? I think it really improves the aggressiveness of a car.

I like that you love the Scirocco it is design-wise the best car volkswagen made in the last 20 years. And im lucky enough to own one. I wish VW would make a new Scirocco 😍 but one that is not completly focust one the finacial aspect... They need more emotional focused cars they had them in the past and thy were their most legendary ones. Like the Beetle, Golf GTI, Corrado, Scirocco,...

Nice work it really looks nice. You definetly got the SUB. Plus I have to say here in Germany the GOLF is overly used as a 4 door hatchback. We rarely see them as 2 door coupe hatchbacks.

Im going to say an interesting thought exercise, but not the way I would go. I would much rather see a Golf R Supercar as a Super-Sleeper. Something less flashy than the GTI Mid engine W12 one off. Having it AWD would solve much of the handling and traction problems the W12 had. I think having it 2 doors, mid engine-ed but still looking like a regular Golf R for the most part is the way to go. Something that wont attract too much attention, but could spank more expensive super and hyper cars.
I'm confused. Didn't you say it was mid-engined? Maybe a four banger transversally in front of the rear axle? But then where are the air scoops?

Congratulations, you've created a Volkswagen version of the Cadillac ELR.
So to turn the Golf into a supercar, you have to first turn it into a concept hatchback, then a wagon, then a crossover coupe, *then* a supercar. Proportions funi.
