Please tell me I'm not the only one that Claires intro make smile 🥰, like it just put so much joy in me, I really love the long content video, they feel so engaging and like I have company when doing my planty chores!
Hello Claire, you out me in tears while watching your video. I missed my baby 4y/o American bully who cross the rainbow just 1 month ago. He always accompanied & watching me every time i’m doing my plant chores. Missed him a lot.🧡🐶 Happy planting.🍃🍂
I'm very down today. Thank you for this long video. It helps me have hope. In days like today's I'm just feeling like a plant killer. I have been living in the UK for 30 years and I'm struggling with loneliness. Plants really help me but I'm so bad with them. I just hate losing plants. Your videos help me accept to be ok not to be good with everything I do or try.
@malgosiawnukowski5465 I'm Welsh but I have been living in France for nearly 20 years now. I also struggle with loneliness and feeling like I will never quite fit in here, no matter how hard I try to follow all the rules. It doesn't matter how well you speak another language, it's never quite the same as being able to talk to someone in your first language. The cognitive load is huge and exhausting!
I’m sorry you’re struggling with loneliness here in the UK. Our western society has split people up into “independence” but it leaves us far from family. ❤
You are your own best friend! From another plant murderer hahaha and the friends you don't kill talk to them 😂 your neighbours will think your strange and send you an anonymous letter(like in my case) but just tell them go chew a d*ck 😂😂😂 and walk around naked all windows open 😅 it will give you great entertainment I don't even have a TV! Until you make the unconscious conscious it will rule your life and you will call it fate (Carl lung said that) good luck put on some fela kuti and 💃 ❤
@@angelabrown8458t yeah the more "successful" a country becomes the colder more isolated and childless they become look at Japan on paper great but in reality they are loosing game aging popopulation and young people marrying a dolls 😂😂 oh yeah and first world problems are very real thing😂😂😂
I don’t know why but I just love hearing you just keep on talking and sharing random things about you and your plants and everything! I have lots and lots of plants but don’t have a plant handle, but you are inspiring me to! Love watching you repotting ❤
I live in Massachusetts in the US and love watching your videos. Since I’ve been watching you plant in semi hydro I wanted to try it with some of my plants but none of the plant shops or nurseries know what it is. So I’ve started making my own 😊 and my plants seem to love it. I decided to take a count of my plants and was amazed to discover I have 182 😮 😅have a great vacation.
I'm from France and I assure you that your videos are so great and always make me feel good and make me want to carry on doing stuff like job, plant chore and my studies !! Thank you so much hope you still find joy and passion in your life of youtube content creator !! Hope to see more of your planty journey !
I discovered that there's the plastic film yesterday when I opened my second set and the top one's film was already peeling. This means that the first set are already in use with the film still on :-(
Your points on personal social media vs your niche is so relatable, I spent 8 years as a full time content creator amassing over 1m followers in total across 2 accounts but hated the content I was making and how it made me feel, so I stopped and now I film TikToks and UA-cam videos of my plant collection for myself and I’ve never felt more free, there is a true difference between health and hype!
Oh! I just think you’re a wonderful person. Thank you for being consistent, even when maybe your viewers are not 🤗 I have really enjoyed your content over the last few years- you have taught me a lot! Thank you again.
I have been watching less UA-cam videos during summer, with vacation, travel, and just being outside there is not enough time, and I guess it's the same for many other viewers. I hope it gets better in autumn! Thank you so much for this video, I do need to get my planty chores done too, but tonight I had another more urgent task (reorganzing my whole closet) and your company helped me stick to it. Have a lovely vacation, and I hope all your plants survive and thrive!
Omgosh! I love your videos and I watch them all the time. I love your plant collection. I’ve learned quite a few things from you and appreciate you. Thank you!
My favorite plant videos! Yes I do every thing myself (Hair nails, facials ,groom my dogs etc) Just do not trust them to do it the way I want plus yes it does add up money wise Also I have very long hair and the charge would be even more -Love listening to your videos when I work So grateful you do not have any back ground music!!
Hi, yes I agree on the ‘no background music’. Sometimes I have to close some of the really good plant UA-camrs because of their choice of music. Sets my nerves on edge!😮
I found that with these poles it’s easier to have your moss prepared and use your moss box to hold done one side and then your hand on the other then lay your moss down and then close up the pole. 17:45
Hi Claire, I'm in Colorado Springs Colorado. I love watching your videos. I'm a 3yr planty lady. I love how you are so yourself, also how you talk about your life and struggles, triumphs too.❤ 1:34:00 1:34:05
My boss was getting rid of 12 pallets, I took 4 and made planters out of them, kind of got the bug with filling them with flowers, then came across this channel and just ordered 8 house plants, lol, love the videos Claire, thanks for all the useful info for a complete newb.

I am such a plant addict but been in a slump not taking care of them as I should as many are really great well known plants growing amazing 60% Hoyas but some issues with damn mealy bugs... UGGGHHH. I just trellised my hoyas a couple months ago on those same style trellises and they are so happy. I'm sure yours will start filling in like crazy now! Have a great vacation!
2 tips and tricks for you in exchange for this long and entertaining video ! *superman song* - I have the same poles and I add a good layer of bark in it, just behind the moss 1/ to mimic the trunk of a tree and my monsteras love it, 2/ because I find the bark keeps the moss hydrated longer (I live in the south of France, and our summers get really REALLY hot and dry), 3/ I'm so afraid of fungal diseases on my plants and having bark with just a layer of moss calms down my anxiety by showing me that it's okay, it's still breathing (if that makes sense...) 🐒 - I use transparent orchid clips to gently settle my plants on moss poles or sticks without compromising the aesthetic. It's sturdy enough to keep the stems in place for as long as the plant needs to grow its roots and stabilize itself 🌴 Have a lovely trip and give your dog a big boop on her cute snoot 🐾
I started making my own moss poles this past year. So much cheaper and you can size them to what you need. Love hanging out with you and your plants 🪴 💕 Thanks for sharing another fun video ❤
I got a tiny Cordyline for the price of a cup of coffee today. I was on my way home from my favourite coffeeshop, when my feet just took me to my local florist. How could I resist that tiny spiky plant with pink edges? While listening to this video I repotted it, cleaned my bathroom windows, and pottered about with my plants. Heaven!
Totally agree with you on these plugs. Drives me nuts. They SAY oh, it will rot away, but I've had plants for years and still find that stuff. I take it off and my plant starts to flourish. Growers need only to sell plants. They don't necessarily care if it lives long, because if it dies, you'll buy another. So frustrating.
I think speak for everyone (except the haters😂) but we love ur vids I got all my plant chores done I was dreading it hahahah also glad to know I'm not the only weirdo who stops to appreciate the plants outside haha
Hairdresser of over 10 yrs here ! I totally understand about your worries being self employed and sudden drops! Summer can be a scary time when your income relies on other people's value of your worth ! Wanna trade plant advise for hair advise ?!? I can talk you through how to cover the / get out the blue and help make it at least look even!
OMG! The story about your hair made me laugh to tears! It sounds just like a scene from a very funny romantic comedy! I can truly see you and Emma trying to figure out what to do next. Honestly, I've done so many disastrous things to my hair that I can relate.
Just FYI, if you don't object to shopping at Temu you can buy these same moss poles for half the price. They also have packages of six or eight of the same size.
Hi Clair! I have used those acetate moss poles and find they work quite well. I even stacked two of them and just braced them with a garden stake. Have grown a beautiful syngonium on it. The poles probably aren't good for big heavy plants, but my syngonium is quite vigorous and it's holding up just great.
Thanks for the video Claire! That hoya looks amazing! I have heard that when trellising if you have the tips of the tendrils pointing down they don't grow leaves and the vine can die back. It's best to let it grow long enough so you can wrap it around and have it pointing up again. I haven't experienced it myself yet as I'm still relatively new to Hoya so if you know this not to be true, just ignore me and carry on 😄Happy growing 💚
I have a chihuahua who has mostly blue eyes but one has a touch of brown at the edge, everyone comments on her eyes. Also the stuff the tissue culture comes in is agar! They usually add other things to start the process but the base substance is agar.
100% with you on the lack of views, I only have a tiny channel but recently have really been noticing it! Thanks for the video, really enjoyed as always 🌱
Watching you put that moss pole together I realized I did mine “wrong”😂 but it is working out 😅 I too have been “cooking” with a combination of medias for my non-orchid plants 🌱 (I do planty videos… mainly orchid related- Trish’s Orchid Life … I am taking time off at the moment as my Old Girl is coming to the end and I am having to do a lot of things for her) Love watching your videos (and seeing your pupper) and I always learn something new 😊❤🌸
50:00 I’m self employed too. I’ve had my own Etsy shop since 2010. I can tell you that sales have slowed to a snail pace in the past month or so. This time of year is usually slow every year but this year is scary slow. When you’re the bread winner for the entire family it can be stressful when the sales aren’t steady. I know the holiday rush will be here before I know it and I’ll be wishing for a break, but I still can’t shake the worry I have lately. So I totally get what you’re saying ❤❤❤
I have never seen anyone make a mosspole w/o moss down the whole pole. I love it. I just found your channel and absolutely love it. Do you have a video on stingray plants 🪴. 😊😊😊
I’ve heard the anti-clockwise thing about hoyas too and that’s what I try to do. The other thing I’ve heard is the tips of the growth points should always point upwards or the spikes stop growing and shoot out a new growth point somewhere down the vine where it is pointing upwards
I always think that about my pets, I se then as part of me and my life so I guess as we are the centre their core, they must dream and think of us moreover anything else. If that makes sense. I think they know much more than we give them credit for. My dog knows when I’m mad with someone as she will not interact with them as she does when I’m not. That’s my crazy rant 😂
Oh - I also have those exact same moss pole cases! And I've been propping my Glorious because the leaves are getting to a decent size now and I'd like them to be my starting point on a new pole :)
I've only just started posting planty things on insta. I used to post my lowcarb stuff during lockdown and after years and years, I've come back purely to post plants. I'm "Chaotic Planty Person"
Hy Claire! I love your videos so much! Thank you! Maybe it could be nice to show us some of your plants which are not so often to see.. i see often some in the background.
Claire, I am absolutely obsessed with your plants videos and general chit chat. Wanted to ask if you do any shorts on TIk Tok? That’s such a high traffic app that it might be good to direct fresh viewers to your channel. Just thinking out loud, I only watch you and Fern. As my stable content now. And I really enjoy the long videos ❤ x the hair looks fine by the way. Might also be a good idea to maybe react to comments. With a like old or new as it makes the viewers feel they are being engaged with. I hope you don’t mind me saying that. You probably do already. X
I have never seen a moss pole like that, that's so neat. I will admit that I'm bad about using moss poles. I guess that type are popular in the community 😊 Everyone has such helpful information here in your comment section! Thanks everyone!
That’s so funny my standard poodle butch stomps his feet at me when he wants attention and my little Shih Tzu shadow will sit and cry at me even if he just wants up on the couch even though he can get up by his self then he takes his paw and pulls my hand so I’m touching him at all times yes I know their spoiled but they both give me unconditional love and I like you often wonder what their thinking I wish we lived closer I think you’re such a lovely person and you have taught me so much you’re my favorite utube person 😊
Hi Claire! The Pictum Tricolor was my wish plant, I just love the pattern on the leaves. Mine bloomed last year and I was so excited. But a FB plant group told me I had to cut the blooms off or the plant will die. :( I did and only lost one bottom leaf. It’s blooming again this year. What are your thoughts on this?
did I see right that you just did the hoya clockwise while saying you're doing it anti-clockwise?! can someone please confirm because it's just right before the end... If I'm wrong I'll just blame the perspective error🤭 I'd assume it's not important whether you start from the right or left side of the sphere but you just create the anti-clockwise turns for the hoya...
Yes, you're correct @noora7773, I commented on the first day the video came out because it didn't sit right in my brain. I even checked another video of hers. I'm sure Claire will realise soon- maybe understandably in holiday mode! 😅
I absolutely don’t mean this question to come off the wrong way, but have you ever looked into possibly of also being autistic? I personally am as well as have ADHD and many times you explain things (like here explaining how colors or certain looks can come off jarring) similar to how they can be for me. It can be fairly common for one with ADHD to mingle into both (though obviously not always, and traits can be quite similar between them). You may have or not and I certainly do not mean to intrude or imply that anything is bad or wrong 🖤🖤 I just thought I’d throw it out there in case it wasn’t ever anything that ever came up before and could give you insight you were unfamiliar with. I know how open you’ve been about ADHD and dyslexia so I truly hope I cause no offense, I certainly do not mean it!! 🖤🖤🖤 Here is to all of our quirky neurodivergent brains!!
I was just discussing the topic of autistic people in the plant community with my psych on Thursday. Considering the depth you could go into - humidity, calmag or silicon supplements, lighting requirements, naming and reclassification of different genus, TC, etc, I would be surprised if you didn't find quite a few autistic people lowkey hanging out in the plant community. ETA - and then the sensory aspect of textures, colours, etc. Ps - I'm also autistic with a side of ADHD. Hello, planty friend.
Just watched this and nearly at teh end my heart nearly stopped. Could you please NOT just casualy say stuff like "Oh, if babies cry they want attention"? That shit has been disproven for years now. Babies cry because they have absolutely no other means to tell you they NEED SOMETHING. And even if it is attention, it is a valid reason to cry. And honestly, wanting attention and body contact is a valid need for animals too. I am not sure what makes me more angry right now: That you spread parental advice that was promoted by Nazis, or the casual way you say "Oh, just ignore the being that is dependent on you and has no means of fulfilling their own needs and no other form of communication, it just wants your attention". Like, duh. That´s what crying is for, yes.
Yay! A long Claire video!!! 💚🌱🌿🌵 I love listening to these when I’m in plant chore mode
I don't know if this is helpful, but I am quicker to click on your longer videos then shorter.
And I love watching while I'm in the tub for a looong soak, lol!
Couldn't agree more, love the long videos. We've been waiting for a longer one, so thank you, Claire!

Bark is an excellent idea! My summer has been abnormally dry
You always motivate me to do my plant chores! I did a few propagations pot ups and combined a few same plants.
Needed this to get motivated to set up plant shelves. Great video as always Claire!

Spot on! The saying is trellis UP...As long as the end of the tendril goes up the vine will leaf up when attached.

31:20 I always cut my own hair. Much cheaper than go to the hairdresser. But I never have mine loose so any imperfections are hidden 😊
I just got the exact same moss poles in the mail today so this is perfect!
Hy Claire! I love your videos so much! Thank you! Maybe it could be nice to show us some of your plants which are not so often to see.. i see often some in the background.
Joli said WOWWWW
43:40 For me to see you have not cleaned the box before you put the pots back in there... my perfectionism is simply freaking out 🤣
Claire, I am absolutely obsessed with your plants videos and general chit chat. X
Where do you get your soil for your plants and how do you decide what to do. I would like to see a video one day on how you decide on soil mixture.
I have never seen a moss pole like that, that's so neat. I will admit that I'm bad about using moss poles. I guess that type are popular in the community 😊 Everyone has such helpful information here in your comment section! Thanks everyone!
Great video thanks 🪴🐶❤
Amen sister, you are telling it like it
That’s so funny my standard poodle butch stomps his feet at me when he wants attention and my little Shih Tzu shadow will sit and cry at me even if he just wants up on the couch even though he can get up by his self then he takes his paw and pulls my hand so I’m touching him at all times yes I know their spoiled but they both give me unconditional love and I like you often wonder what their thinking I wish we lived closer I think you’re such a lovely person and you have taught me so much you’re my favorite utube person 😊
Great video ❤
Bulbophyllum orchids are known for their stench too--it means the pollinators are flies.
I saw a video on tiktok where someone grows his Regal permanently in a Mix of sphagnum moss and the big brown lecca pearls in a nun Drainage pot
Love your vids 😊
I am exactly the same way with my hair! Trying to lift it on my own from black box dye wish me luck 😅
Have you got your hoya sarawak in soil still ? I have a cutting and maybe I should put it in moss hmm ?
Turn the band around so the softest side is on the plant 🪴
Hi, where do you get your moss poles from and moss also? From Amazon or? Thank you
Lechuza now do chunky pon.
I constantly cut the blooms whilst they're still forming and never lose any leaf. ❤
Just tried to switch my scalprum to semi hydro and he's not looking great 🙈
Gel like plant medium is agar
❤ I love your chatty videos
Hey so I bought a Hoya and it came in a plug, should I take it out of its plug. I have had it about a week now.
I would take it out. A week is fine for acclimating in summer. Enjoy ❤
Is there a film on the pole?
Can you tell me why Hoya should be trellisest counter clockwise
Because it's the way it grows in nature.
did I see right that you just did the hoya clockwise while saying you're doing it anti-clockwise?! can someone please confirm because it's just right before the end...
I want to put house plants in my room but my room has an ac, are there any ac tolerant plants?
I chopped my own hair one time. It was waist length, and I wanted shoulder length with banges.... I ended up looking like Lord Farquaad from Shrek
Instruction unclear, rewatching all Claire’s video now..

@@thelourensfamily8048 I absolutely agree!
@orchidquest. (I know you aren't an orchid person...but it's where I started. 🤗)
