Blue skies and Blue waters! Nice flying guys! 👍🏼🛩
Thanks.
Nice video summary of the flight...be safe and healthy
Thanks.
Excellent cockpit communication between you and Mike.
Excellent CRM and nice they gave you a 10L departure out of PBI. Much better view than the swamp to the west. Come back and visit again.
I agree with the view. It was a straight shot to West End off 10L.
Thanks for the video. Some beautiful shots of the clouds before the St Lewis approach.
Safe travels Cap!
What a landing, right on the numbers.
love your fixed, steady camera positions. You can see and "feel" what the plane is doing. Nothing worse or more useless than a head or handheld camera with the picture bobbing all over the place.
Great video Capt.
Thanks.
Wow great to see u here at my local airport in palm beach 👍🏼
Thanks for the video always great to watch
I think your vblogs are great. I particularly admire the way you two guys work together, total respect one for the other. Stay safe folks, from a UK puddle jumper (PA28) pilot.
i appreciate that Ian.
You n Mike make a great team.
Those screens gone wild!
..
Hello again, Capt...always cheering up my day..with your great smile, comments, stories, and very well-edited and thoroughly interesting videos...thanks again for sharing Jim...
Great stuff. I would love to see more of the stuff that goes on before and after the flight. Take care!
Thanks Jim & Mike
Glad you are getting some flight time.
they need to do some work on that westend runway. Thank mike for the nice smooth flight back to st louis and the nice landing there. Hope you and the family are doing well. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy!
Great to see you, thanks for the video.👍🇺🇸
Thanks Joseph.
I always love your videos. Thanks for sharing on UA-cam.
I like how you reply to many comments. That adds a personal touch to your channel.
Another great video. Stay safe. 🛩🎵
Always glad to see another of your videos. Stay safe !
Hi Larry. You stay safe out there also.
Cracks me up when Mike calls his own “positive rate” instead of waiting for you to when he’s flying!
I'm mainly jealous of a two-digit callsign :D
When the controllers are away, the pilots will play! I’m a controller at ZDC, but started my career at an airport and I do miss that environment. Love your videos!
thanks Brian. I appreciate that.
Hi Jim is always nice seeing you with Mike- 🙋♂️😊
Stay healthy 😷
Hello Captain great video as always, did you know that on the departure from Palm Beach just before the shoreline you can see Mar Largo. It's a very beautiful place.
Hi Darryl. I had no idea it was right there. I'll have to look for it next time.
Ah Good ol’ Ashley Smith still taking care of the West End airport. Nice to hear his voice on the radio.
First time I ever met him. He was very helpful.
I would like to see more videos of you flying the CJ1.
So would I but my opportunities are limited.
I was going to get a video of the CJ1 this upcoming week but, the owner decided to fly it.
I hope the XL is serving reliably and safely. N9U looks well-kept. I'm honored to have lots of hours maintaining XLs, Sovereigns, Latitudes and soon, the Longitude in Wichita. Worked a lot on NetJets birds. Not an active pilot but I love airplanes, and enjoy seeing them do their thing. So your videos are great.
Thanks. I love the XL and the XLS. Both are a pleasure to fly.
Afternoon captain getting ready to leave Lambert field dropped off some more medical supplies for your state wish we could meet for a cup of coffee videos are awesome be safe my friend hopefully I'll see you next time I'm in in your state
If I had known I would have come out. Fly safe Greg.
Love the Bahamas. Grand Bahamas is prolly one of the most uninteresting Islands of the chain.
Hi Capt. Another great video! Thanks as always!
Thanks Tom.
Howdy Jim. Nice to see you're keeping airborne. I fly a CJ3 and wonder if you can film any of your CJ stuff.
Hi Skyler. I'd love to fly the CJ3. At one point we were going to get a CJ3 but, it fell through. I'm right seating the CJ1 next week with the owner.
@@captmoonbeam Would enjoy watching some footage if you can get any! & yeah the 3 is a great aircraft all around especially for single pilot ops
Jim, what do you use to get such great audio from ATC and your conversations? I really enjoy your videos.
I have a cable that splits off my headset audio and plugs into the GoPro for recording.
👏👏👏
Nice flight. (first comment)
Thanks Chris..
@Captmoonbeam the avionics looks very modern on this Citation Excel is it a retrofit?
Hi Sammy. The two Garmin 750's were added when we did the ADS-B. The two PFD's and the MFD are the old CRT types. Sadly the tubes give you that flicker.
I like the pickup in west end, make them run and jump on them rotate. Lol
No point wastin time😀
Hahaha. Well, you fly safe.
Thanks Lemard.
You are welcome. I glad you are able to fly and come back home safely even though there is this global virus problem.
Do you enter your flight plan into both the GTN750 and the FMC or just the GTN?
When the Bahama tower tells you that the runway is clear, is that your landing clearance?
Approach is with Freeport and they have a tower. West End it's uncontrolled and doesn'. When we call West End, we're getting a runway report from the airport manager.
captmoonbeam Ashley Smith is the WE Airport manager. He’s a retired ATC guy. Nice guy as long as you stay on his good side. Show up on time and with your paperwork filled out. And case of Budweiser. Good to go. 😉
QUESTION -- Why are so many clients going to the Caribbean during the summer??
So WestEnd is a private rich island?
Are you and Mike locked in as partners for the duration of the pandemic to reduce any contamination from others? And how often do you get tested?
No we aren't. The amount of XL flying we do is down.
What does your shipmate do while you guys aren't flying?
He works out a lot and we go on adventures together. Bike rides, hiking, museums historic sites etc..
@@captmoonbeam That sounds great!Hope I'll get to work with people like that one day!
Wouldn’t that of been a little bit more economical to Park the Jet there in West End for an overnight instead of flying to Palm Beach?
7:26 Hmm... No new weeds.
That ALT alert is straight annoying 😂
It's worse than annoying. In the videos I pull the volume down.
👋🏻KSRQ ☀️🌴🇺🇸🛩
There's no pandemic.
This is very misleadingly titled. Don’t you know that this month, all aviation-related videos are supposed to be people playing MSFS2020?! Way to make us feel bad by doing it for real...
Nice vid Captain, I always enjoy your productions. Stay safe and be careful...later
I’m so jealous of you getting to fly around the Caribbean. I’m from closer to the St. Lous area so all my videos are filmed over corn fields. I love your videos!!!
Me too man. I just wish I could fly all those cool planes!
Thanks. I can relate. I spent my first four years as a pilot flying over rice fields in Arkansas.
Chad Dossett don’t we all! Keep after man anything is possible!
captmoonbeam the positive side to that is it’s really reassuring that if something goes wrong and you’re new there’s always places to land 😂
@@captmoonbeam very cool! I'm a Little Rock native and got my private in Bentonville, spent many hours over everything from the delta flats to the Boston Mountains.
Thanks for maintaining your UA-cam channel. I hope hurricane Laura has gone. It was concerning as it approached Galveston on the Tx Southern coast. After watching some air institute and FAA short stories of pilots having accidents, I appreciate your saying "keep the blue side up and brown down". Is it the attitude indicator screen?
🍰
I am curious about one thing sir how much longer do you see yourself lying I’m just curious
Welcome to Ft Myers! RSW or Page Field?
I grew up on the banks of the Illinois/Mississippi River just outside of St. Louis .. been living in FLorida for 13 years... I remember when August Busch would bring his helicopter or float plane to my small town restaurant for just a pie!
Cool video!
I think taking a floatplane out for a slice of pie would be fun.
captmoonbeam 👍🏻 yes sir.. love the channel and content! Dream of one day becoming a pilot!
i wish i could fly a jet to the Bahamas
Good to see another flight Jim - glad by sound of it you have been fairly busy. Often wonder, do you flip a coin to decide who is PIC or just take turns? Usually over time seems Mike does about half as PIC. All best.
Hi Chris. Mike and I fly ever other leg but, I'm always PIC. That's why when he flies his leg He's always in the right seat even though he's flying.
Thanks Jim - in fact silly me, I thought after that of course that you were always left seat so, PIC anyways! Carry on Captain :) :)
Very kewell!
Still a use for Mk 1 eyeballs then? 😁
I'm a firm believer in confirming with the ol MK1's
Great flights Captain, and hey your First Officer, or other Captain makes great landings also, just had to plug one in for him!
thanks Bill. He's a great guy
Great video. Like the explanations of what’s happening. Is there no place for you to stay on the island? Stay safe
If we had more notice for the trip we probably would have stayed there.
I like your video while the ad plays at the beginning, that's how confident I am in your work. lol
Respektos
Great video Jim. How long is the course on the Garmin 750/1000 ?
Captain what’s your email address like to talk to you.
Love the "ohhh" during the super smooth touch-down lolll
Great videos. Just one thing that drives me crazy. When your flying or even on ground with power on reach up and rub your fingers across the glare shield fans and knock off the carpet fuzz. Keep flying Citations.
I need to remember to do that. When we're sitting in the cockpit it slants away from us and we can't see it.
Rance here, when you fly into the Bahamas from mainland USA and no one disembarked the aircraft and you just pick up people and leave, do you have to clear customs upon arrival?
The passenger presented his passport, clearance to travel in the Bahamas and a recent negative Covid test. We payed the fees, present a general dec, were cleared by the officer and left. But, we didn't enter the country.
@@captmoonbeam thanks for the explanation. I do enjoy the videos.
