I believe it's Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill & Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill. The song appears on their marvelous band's (Skara Brea) album in the early 70's.

No, it is not correct. Maybe you got these from another version of this song, but these are not the lyrics being sung in this recording. The video strongly features the girl, which is completely absent from your English rendition.
