For some of them prison would be better because it's harder to access drugs and alcohol in there so at least they get a break from it.

I personally think if a woman makes allegations against a man, that turns out to be false, it should be charged as a felony with the same penalty the man could have faced. The problem is you can't just ignore or discount someone on the basis they may or may not be lying. Anyone that has experienced it or lived around it, can immediately tell if the person is lying or not. Unfortunately these kind things are in the "you won't understand it, unless you've lived it" category. Does that make sense?

So many people think this judge is wonderful ( based on youtube reviews) but I think she's so soft she squishes like soap bubbles.
It definitely is reprehensible behavior but It's received what's called a "Crime Of Passion" consideration... That's why courts use "motive" as a consideration in punishment... She was cheating, he found out and put a knife to her throat to get the truth out of her... I'm certain states, prosecutors will pass the case, even if the "victim" doesn't want to prosecute...

It’s lazy parenting and it’s damaging, research shows actually that physical punishment of children makes them more angry, fearful and resentful, and leads to poorer outcomes in every aspect of their lives, eg emotional, educational. It’s 2024, it’s not ok to be so ignorant these days. I don’t hit my kids ever and they are wonderful people who understand how to resolve conflict in a civilised manner. Do better and don’t excuse abuse.
