I love when the defense lawyer tried to say something about her flowers she didn’t even acknowledge him‼️
Blaming anxiety and depression for killing animals is unacceptable
And so his wife and daughter are the pawns in the gambling game his attorney is asking the court to take part in. Meanwhile his ex and child live in abject fear every day of their lives while he remains alive and free. Who protects the ex and child as he storms through the restraining order in real time? Nobody. It is a complete gamble on whether the abus1v3 ex husband just shows up,flexing on the mother and child to prove he can approach them at any time or if he goes ballistic on them and hurts them or worse. Who protects the women and children 24/7 as we give these men their freedom and justice especially after they are free after repeated chances?

You are so right! Unfortunately this happens a lot. If there was a way we could magically see the actual interchange between this man and his ex after being ordered to not go near her we would see his aggression, her fear and disappointment that the courts can't keep him away from her or protect her. That order was all she has to protect herself and her daughter - that maybe let her sleep at night. The lawyers go on and on about how he has changed, how he now understands, how he wont do it again. They were not there to actually witness any of the assaults or the illegal visit. There should never, ever be repeat chances.
He is advocating for his client. It is his job. Not going above and beyond can get him sanctioned
@@uggggggghhhhh here’s the thing: as a woman who had an abus1v3 ex and had to deal with his d3ath threats and personally knowing so many other women who had it even worse than I did and ALL the stories and statistics that show women are not protected? I no longer give a rat’s arse about an attorney being sanctioned for protecting these scary real life monsters. The justice system has failed girls and women and their children for a long time. I don’t care if you’re an attorney or know attorneys or have an attorney who defends the monsters so that’s why you defend them. And the reason why I don’t care about these attorneys or the people who defend them is because you all don’t care about the people being hurt, t3rror1zed, or unalived by the monsters.
The not caring is reciprocal.

So, strangling a partner, torturing the victim’s pet(s), and the state requests “community supervision “, and the sentences run concurrent, not consecutive? This is disgusting. No wonder criminals rule our society, and more and more people seek their own justice. I have mental health issues, as do thousands of others, and don’t assault people, or torture/kill animals. He deserves jail, period. We have a legal system, NOT a justice system.
Those concurrent sentences are a damn joke!

@ hannah 3146 In regard to the derogatory comment of the flowers by that petty Defense lawyer, "When there is nothing farther to be said, there is always someone around to say it" comes to mind, insulting Judge Boyd's flower arrangement was in my opinion quite out of order.
I love how the comments legitimately think the defense lawyer was in the wrong for saying anything about the flowers.
1) He said it as a half-joke to help the mood.
2) He said it seriously because flowers CAN cause allergic reactions. The judge should be in charge of the safety of everyone in the courtroom including mindful of and helping those with allergic triggers and reactions.
Neither of those two are wrong or bad. 🤦

His time in jail likely just gave him time to stew in his anger. There should be absolutely no 2nd chances on no contact orders, especially when there is a history of family violence. Judge Boyd understands the gravity of this situation and know how often these situations lead to dv murder. Thank goodness.

I do not think it was out of line to mention the flowers may cause someone allergic response. Some airlines won't allow peanuts because of allergies. I have severe allergies to cats and can have issues just being around a person who has a cat. So her beautiful flowers could trigger someone.
