Love the way her attorney said “she missed the date and then was just scared that’s all your honor”……I get he has to advocate for his client but that was ridiculous. A 5 yr suspension…great.

The 2nd guy is the true Judge Boyd & why she is a Judge & what makes her an absolutely phenomenal Judge! She actually cares & would much rather find someone help than lock them up (yes, even the buttheads). Anyone that has watched her for any length of time, knows she will absolutely lock your ass up in a heartbeat if warranted, but she would much rather at least attempt to help someone fix whatever may be broken in their life. I honestly wish she could be cloned & be the default template for the entire Judicial system.
I'm glad she hasn't been. She spends way too long giving people ass pats for not violating probation.

Judge Boyd is always fair and compassionate with a frm grasp on the law. She manages to never be late while usually working 5 days a week. The VERY least a defendant can do is be early! Why risk annoying the person that as a result of your mistakes can literally sentence you to prison?!?? Utter stupidity! Much respect and admiration for Judge Boyd.
I must say,this judge means business and seems to drive a hard bargain being on her probation deals! Good for her!

lol, I was a heroin addict from 14 to 19, I tried this crap with the judge and it never worked. You know what did? Being sent to a maximum security prison for 3 weeks, never touched that sh#% ever again. Courts too lenient on druggies.

She doesn’t want the defendants influencing children or other vulnerable people. They can easily be taken advantage of.
She has no compassion and on a serious power trip
Are you watching the same judge the rest of us are watching? She is one of the most capable, caring, compassionate, and fair judges I’ve seen. She’s also blunt and tells it like it is. She may make probation far more difficult than others, but probation is meant to help the person to change the behavior in addition to giving a consequence. I’d like to know the recidivism rates for the people that successfully complete probation. She cares about the people that live in her area and wants to make sure everyone is safe. I wish more judges were like her.
