Jon Voight's BEST performance. Brought me to tears.
There aren’t enough awards in the world to give this beautiful film.
It's not really about the film
Love this movie❤
One of the most moving films in film history❤
Grew up in East Germany, was drafted, and saw this movie. I kept watching it countless times. to this day. "there are not enough reasons...."
Very rarely see this film but when I do I cry so hard and I remember why I feel this is the best film I've ever seen
There are no more powerful movies that told the truth about Vietnam than Coming Home, Platoon, Apocalypse. Tim Buckley expressed the trauma of the innocent victims of war in this song.
"Not enough reason..."
That sums up the futility of the Vietnam War in three words.
I have read countless books on the subject - but have never heard it expressed better.
"Not enough reason...."
That's really all you need to know.
P.S. I served with the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam from 1970 - 1971.
"Not enough reason...!"
Wow! How powerful - and true! ✌
So true. I've watched this about 1,000 times. My Brother was in Vietnam. But He came Home.
The genius of Jon Voight.
Beautiful song. I loved Tim Buckley's music.
GREAT film......appreciate it
I saw this movie when it first came out in the theaters when in college. I did mushrooms. The movie blew me away. It helped me discover who i was and to be good with it.
I love this movie with all my heart
Still get you in the feels all these years later 😢
I know this song.. but I don’t think I ever realized who performed it. I first heard it in Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam. (If you’ve never seen it, I’m pretty sure there is a free watch available here on UA-cam.) Now I know, and it is plain to see now, it’s Tim Buckley. His voice.. omg.. my heart breaks, the tears flow.. I “discovered” Tim Buckley, funnily enough, at the end of an episode of the Monkees. The show ran short, so they gave a young artist some well deserved recognition. Introduced via voice-over by Mickey Dolenz… Tim Buckley - Song of the Siren. Look it up here on UA-cam, it is hauntingly, heart breaking.
LUCKY OUT - how genius was that ending. So Good.
I remembered this movie very well, and had no impression of this song.
JANE FONDA LA ACTRIZ MÁS GUAPA EN TODOS LOS SENTIDOS DE LA HISTÒRIA DEL SÉPTIMO ARTE, MARAVILLOSA MARAVILLOSA JANE...
Now I know where Jeff got his angelic voice from
Respect to veterans, I'm Brazilian, I also know how difficult it was
Cuando vi está película con 19 años,me impacto el tema antibélico y la música.
Estaba a punto de irme al servicio militar.
Tenía miedo.
De ser patriota..
Jesus Christ ,,,, help us Make WAR STOP
Such a sad movie. 😢Jon Voight was so sexy❤
Not a Jane Fonda fan but have seen this movie many times. My dad didn’t like Jane Fonda at all because of her views of the Vietnam War.
Back when John Voight was a down-to-earth man, now he's just a crazy, delusional Trumper
Your Opinion.comments about the movie.
